1989 Ford Bronco XLT 5.0 liter V8 Auto Overdrive Trans100% Original Paint and Rust Free!! Incredible Survivor!! I recently purchased this Bronco from the person who bought it from the Original Owner, and she bought it new at Broadway Ford in Idaho Falls, ID. The truck was recently serviced with new plugs, lubed and the AC serviced and converted to R134A. This Bronco is an absolute time capsule! First of all, when was the last time that you saw a 25 year old vehicle with its original tailpipe and muffler? That’s just incredible. Next take a look at the original paint, as it is in excellent condition! No accidents or repaints! It is 100% factory applied when this Bronco was built back in 1989! No stories! There are of course some rock chips, light scratches and some touch ups, but nothing to take away from the beauty of the truck. Check out the pictures and see how gorgeous it is! The interior looks absolutely fantastic, just like it did back in 1989. It has no smells or stains or rips or wear! Of course, all the accessories work properly. With only 32k miles, this XLT drives absolutely tight and quiet! The 5.0 liter V8 has plenty of power and the transmission shifts perfectly. The last owner reported 19 mpg on a recent trip he took, which certainly is excellent for this big rugged SUV! It would be very difficult to find another original survivor in such amazing condition with such low miles. When I was out taking pictures, I had three sets of people come up and ask me about the truck. They couldn’t believe it wasn’t restored. The chrome, weather-stripping, seals, all look like new! Come see for yourself, or have me bring this Bronco to any local Ford dealer and have it inspected for you, at your cost. This auction may end at any time for any reason. 201-523-2201

Ford Explorer is America's new favorite police car
Mon, 24 Mar 2014There is a new vehicle that you should keep an eye out for when you're going a little too fast down the Interstate. Ford's Explorer-based Police Interceptor Utility was the bestselling new law enforcement model in the country last year, and signs show that won't be changing anytime soon.
Ford sold 14,086 Interceptor Utilities in 2013, up 140% from the year before, and 10,897 Interceptor Sedans, up 31%, according to USA Today. Overall, the brand's police sales were up 48 percent, and they were enough to boost the company's law enforcement vehicle market share by 9 points to nearly 50 percent.
The success comes just a few years after it made the decision to finally retire the long-serving Crown Victoria-based cruiser for two more modern vehicles. "We had to reinvent the category," said Chris Terry of Ford Communications to Autoblog. The automaker had to convince police departments that a unibody chassis without a V8 could perform better than a model that had been a law enforcement staple for years.
Carmakers, NHTSA to unveil auto-emergency braking agreement tomorrow
Wed, Mar 16 2016Happy St. Patrick's Day Eve. Tomorrow, there will be green beer, corned beef and cabbage, and automatic emergency braking for all. Weird combo, we know. But on St. Patty's we can expect an official announcement from a pact of automakers making auto-braking systems standard equipment by 2022. That's per a report from Reuters, which cites three sources familiar with the plans. Originally announced in September 2015 by 10 automakers and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the agreement is expected to be even larger when the details are unveiled tomorrow. According to Reuters, the manufacturers of 99 percent of the US domestic market's vehicles will be represented by the new agreement. It's believed that standard AEB systems could prevent thousands of accidents across the country. Expect more on the official announcement when it's made. Related Video:
Ford pulling out of V8 Supercars after 2015
Tue, Dec 2 2014Australian racing fans are staring down the end of an era as news breaks that Ford will no longer participate in the V8 Supercars series. Although the official announcement has yet to be made, the decision – as reported widely in the automotive press Down Under and in global motorsport publications – indicates that the Blue Oval automaker has already confirmed its intentions to its shareholders early on Monday to shut down its factory effort in the popular tin-top series at the end of next season. The move will mark the end of an era for what has become the International V8 Supercars Championship. Alongside GM's Holden division, Ford was one of only two manufacturers competing in the series from its inception in the late 1990s through last year when a change in regulations opened the door for entries from Nissan, Volvo and Mercedes. Further rule changes are expected to attract even more manufacturers to the series, with Lexus said to be first among them. Over the past eighteen seasons, the V8 Supercars Championship has been won in a Holden Commodore fourteen times, leaving Ford to win the title only four times with successive versions of the Falcon. Eleven of the cars on the grid this season were Commodores, compared to only seven Ford Falcons between two teams that will need to switch to another manufacturer for the season after next – although some could opt to stick with their Fords for one more season, even without factory support, until the open 2016 regulations take effect. The decision follows Ford's announcement last year that it will cease manufacturing in Australia by 2016, ending a 90-year presence Down Under that stretches back to 1925. Blue Oval models like the Falcon, previously unique to the Aussie market, are being replaced by imported models like the Mondeo and Mustang.
