the back top comes off
I was only the 3rd person to ever own it..there is a little rust on it.but other than that the body is in really good shape..
I just had the drive shaft rebuilt, there is a 4inch lift kit on it and it is a frame lift not a body lift the body lift is the cheep and shity way to lift something,, and the lift kit was put on maybe in 2000, the oil was always changed every 3000 miles

NEW VIDEO DRIVING AND STOPPING

On Dec-11-13 at 22:21:46 PST, seller added the following information:

This vehicle is in great condition to be used as a hunting, mudding, restoration, etc. It does need a little body work but the rust it does have is minor and easily repairable areas if restoration is what you are looking for it is completely oem from the motor, frame , axles. Paint job is original which has a lightly faded custom hand pinstriping. It has a leak on the transfer case that is minimal and easily fixable as well as the oil pan needs to be removed and re sealed. It does run very good but it could uses a carb re build do to its age.. I can Drive it Stop it put it in 1 and 2 and 4wd and lock the hubs and it works flawlessly and reverse as well. All lights work and the only gauge that doesn't work is the gas guage possible fuse or short When i got it there was a belt for the ac but I never installed it but the blower works

I just do not have the time anymore do to a kid on the way

please feel free to message me with questions

power steering works
-blower works for air and appears the ac way work just missing belt?
-needs brake cylinders in rear drums locked up due to line leaking and letting air
-gas gauge is not working
-wipers work
-headlights and taillights work 1 marker light is burnt out, and unsure about front fog lamps
-paint is factory so pictures show that and the rust
-rear glass goes up and down with key and interior button but i have always had to grease it and help it get it up
-79.5 inches wide would assume 8x16/18 ft trailer would work
- DRIVABLE)
-F1, F2,  R, N--- All work and 4wd and hubs work
-approx. 40,000 miles on the motor 133,425 miles on truck

BMW, Hyundai score big in JD Power's first Tech Experience Index

Mon, Oct 10 2016

While automakers are quick to brag about winning a JD Power Initial Quality Study award, the reality, as we've pointed out before, is that these ratings are somewhat misleading, since IQS doesn't necessarily distinguish genuine quality issues. JD Power's new Tech Experience Index aims to solve that problem. The new metric takes the same 90-day approach as IQS but focuses exclusively on technology – collision protection, comfort and convenience, driving assistance, entertainment and connectivity, navigation, and smartphone mirroring. It splits the industry up into just seven segments, based loosely on size, which is why the Chevrolet Camaro is in the same division (mid-size) as Kia Sorento and the Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class is in the same segment as the Hyundai Genesis (mid-size premium). It makes for some screwy bedfellows, to be sure. Still, splitting tech experience away from initial quality should allow customers to make more informed and intelligent decisions when buying new vehicles. In the inaugural study, respondents listed BMW and Hyundai as the big winners, with two segment awards – the 2 Series for small premium and the 4 Series for compact premium, and the Genesis for mid-size premium and Tucson for small segment. The Chevrolet Camaro (midsize), Kia Forte (compact), and Nissan Maxima (large) scored individual wins. Ford also had a surprising hit with the Lincoln MKC, which ranked third in the compact premium segment behind the 4 Series and Lexus IS. This is a coup for the Blue Oval, whose woeful MyFord Touch systems made the brand a victim of the IQS' flaws in the early 2010s. But Ford and other automakers might not want to celebrate just yet. According to JD Power, there's still a lot of room for improvement – navigation systems were the lowest-rated piece of tech in the study. Instead, customers repeatedly saluted collision-avoidance and safety systems, giving the category the best marks of the study and listing blind-spot monitoring and backup cameras as two must-have features – 96 percent of respondents said they wanted those two systems in their next vehicle. But this isn't really a surprise. Implementation of safety systems from brand to brand is similar, and they don't require any input from users, unlike navigation and infotainment systems which are frustratingly deep.

Next-gen Ford Taurus spotted in China

Fri, Jan 2 2015

We're getting our first look at the next-generation Ford Taurus thanks to some spy shooters in China. While the camouflage and angle of the photo keep changes to the body a secret, there's no hiding the massive hexagonal, chrome grille up front. It lends a look very similar to the Fusion. Beyond the eye-grabbing grille, the headlights are reshaped, but are still quite squinty. There's also a new lower air dam that runs the width of the front with LEDs at the top corners. The hexagonal grille fits the design of the Fusion well, but this single image makes it look a little too big and disproportionate for the fullsize Ford sedan. Maybe the integration works better from a different angle, though. The next-gen Taurus is rumored debut for the 2016 model year and reportedly rides on a stretched and widened version of the Fusion's platform. Ford's big goal for the new model is allegedly to shed as many pounds from the scales as possible. The sedan also may get a nine-speed automatic to boost fuel economy. The engine range is still a mystery, but EcoBoost options are practically a sure thing, possibly even making up the whole model lineup.
