Selling my 1977 Ford Bronco (Ranger model)
Has some rust in the usual areas, but overall pretty solid rig that wouldn't take much to turn into a daily driver. Drivers side floor panel is pretty rusted with rust holes all the way through. Passengers side floor panel is pretty clean, but also has a few tiny rust holes. Bed is SUPER clean! Rockers are solid! Some surface rust on door posts (some of what you see in the pictures is dirt). Passengers side rear corner panel has some rust as well (as seen in photos). It has obviously been re-painted and has several cracks, chips, and faded spots throughout. The windshield has a crack in it going from top to bottom. Passengers side door handle is broken on the inside (must be opened from the outside). Diamond plating on inside door panels. All gauges work, except for the temperature gauge. Speedometer works great most of the time, but does jump around every once in a while. All running lights work, brake lights work, hazards work, however the turn signals aren't currently working. Horn doesn't work. Wipers work great and I just put new wiper blades on it. Heater works. Missing back seat and spare tire carrier. Missing passengers side seat belt. Has small rust hole above reserve fuel tank door. Needs new switch to use both gas tanks (which I have and I will include with purchase), I've just been using the reserve fuel tank. Has the 302 V8, and runs like a champ! Like most old cars, you have to give her some gas when starting it, if you haven't started it for a while. Takes her a minute or two to get warmed up, but once she's warmed up, she starts right up on every crank from then on. Newer exhaust installed. She runs and sounds great! Has B&M auto shifter in the floor. 4 wheel drive works great! Has power steering and disc brakes. Tires have decent amount of tread left and do NOT leak ANY air, although they show a small amount of cracking. Hard top is solid! Have clean title under my name. I'm sure I forgot a few things, but feel free to email me with any questions you might have: chino7_7@hotmail.com Buyer is responsible for shipping or picking the vehicle up in person, but I am happy to help out in any way that I can. |

Ford Transit gets outfitted for prison duty
Wed, 24 Sep 2014Between the Taurus-based Police Interceptor, the Explorer-based Police Interceptor Utility and the F-150 and Expedition special service vehicles, Ford has no lack of offerings for law enforcement. And now it has one more in the form of the new Transit PTV.
Based on the fullsize Transit van, the Prisoner Transport Vehicle can move as many as 12 prisoners in three separate compartments between detention facilities. Created in collaboration with Pennsylvania-based Havis Prisoner Transport Solutions and with input from Ford's Police Advisory Board, the Transit PTV takes advantage of the Transit's considerable configuration options that include three roof heights, two wheelbases, three lengths and four body-styles - not to mention engine options that include the flex-fuel 3.7-liter V6, 3.5-liter EcoBoost and 3.2-liter Power Stroke diesel.
"Transit PTV is the latest example of Ford's deep commitment to helping provide law enforcement agencies with capable vehicles. This concept proves Transit is upfit-ready and designed to Built Ford Tough standards," said Jonathan Honeycutt, Ford police marketing manager. "Many Police Advisory Board members have had the chance to drive this vehicle and they are excited about it. This new vehicle is tough, smart and efficient - ideal for the needs of law enforcement agencies."
Ken Block is at it again in Gymkhana 6
Mon, 11 Nov 2013If there's one thing we'll say about Ken Block and his latest installment in the Gymkhana family, it's that it's far more structured than previous videos, but that doesn't mean it skimps on the entertainment. Block is on a purpose-built course which was touted as "The... Ultimate... Gymkhana... Grid... Course" in last week's preview. Unlike Gymkhana 5, which took placed on closed streets in San Francisco, this course seems much more compact.
Block has an entire array of challenges to tackle in his 650-horsepower Ford Fiesta ST, and none of them look particularly easy. In fact, we'd argue that Gymkhana 6's grid course requires much more precise driving that previous titles. There are Segways, Lamborghinis and massive pieces of construction equipment that all must be dealt with.
We've got the entire 6:28 of Gymkhana madness for you down below. Scroll down for the video and then hit Comments and let us know how this installment compares to previous Block works.
Project Ugly Horse: Part VI
Thu, 21 Mar 2013Solid axle? What solid axle?
I was fully prepared to embark on a seven-day journey down a rabbit hole of broken bolts, internet hearsay and consternation.
This should not have gone this easily. Having a long and checkered history of simple projects punctuated by much wailing and gnashing of knuckles, I was fully prepared to embark on a seven-day journey down a rabbit hole of broken bolts, internet hearsay and consternation when I finally decided to lay hands on the '89 Mustang with the goal of relieving the car of its stock rear axle. Instead, it took less than a full morning's worth of work to carve the old 7.5-inch solid axle from its moorings and mock up something, well, different.
