1976 Early Ford Bronco, 351 Windsor, 4-speed ***no Reserve on 2040-cars
Meridian, Idaho, United States
1976 Early Ford Bronco, No Reserve I purchased this Bronco 18 years ago and put about 50,000
miles on it myself since its purchase in 1996.
The odometer now reads 23,550 miles on it, I am pretty sure it is actually 223,550 on the vehicle. I’m sad to see it go but its time for me to
raise some funds for a new business. This truck is a super sound runner. The 351 Windsor has about 30,000 miles on it,
and was installed 5 years ago. I have
kept up with all full service oil changes every 3-4k miles. Since I have had it I have replaced and
upgraded much of the truck, getting stronger and better parts than what came on
it. I have held off doing much to the
body or paint though, as I was putting everything I could into it for
reliability and durability. So I
consider the truck kind of stealth, in that mechanically it is super sound and
complete. It’s been in need of a paint
job for many years, and if you were now ready, the paint choice is all yours. The usual Bronco rust spots are very clean on
this truck, the floor pans and door posts are in great shape. I built this for sturdy off-road use, but
only made it rock crawling to Moab a handful of times. Original Goodies (some specific to
the 76 and 77 years) Upgrades -351 W Engine
(around 30,000 miles since rebuild) It has the original intake and 2-Barrel
Carburetor I prefer for its simplicity, reliability and gas efficiency. Other replacements/work I can think of in
last 30,000 miles -MOST ALL PARTS HOOKED ONTO & PLUGGED INTO THE ENGINE. Things Wrong with the Truck
-Some paint and body damage as seen in pics Summary

Car companies used to cook up sales with recipe books
Fri, 08 Aug 2014The evolution of automotive marketing has undergone a number of strange phases. Few, though, match the strangeness of the 1930s to 1950s, when automotive marketers turned to cookbooks as a means of promoting their vehicles. Yes, cookbooks. We can't make this stuff up, folks.
This bizarre trend led to General Motors distributing cookbooks under the guise of its then-subsidiary Frigidaire. Ford, meanwhile, offered a compilation of recipes from Ford Credit Employees (shown above). The cookbook-craze wasn't limited to domestic manufacturers, though. As The Detroit News discovered, both Rolls-Royce and Volkswagen got in on the trend, although not until the 1970s.
The News has the full story on this strange bit of marketing. Head over and take a look.
FBI Seizes Computers, Listening Devices From Ford Headquarters
Fri, Jul 25 2014FBI agents searched Ford Motor Company's headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan, this month as part of an investigation into possible corporate espionage. Eight devices, along with documents, computers and financial records, were among the items seized by federal agents on July 11, according to documents obtained by The Detroit News. The FBI searched Leach's home on June 20 and seized more than two dozen items in that search, Reuters reported. Former engineer Sharon Leach, a 17-year Ford veteran of company, was fired last month, according to The News, which first reported the story. She admitted to placing recording devices under conference tables before meetings. She told Ford security she used the recordings to assist in her meeting notes. She couldn't remove the devices after meetings without drawing attention to herself, leaving the devices to record other meetings. Leach has not been charged for any wrongdoing. Former federal prosecutor and Wayne State University law professor Peter Henning told The News that using a search warrant, rather than a subpoena, shows the FBI suspects more employees could be implicated. "If it's an economic espionage case or trade-secrets case, that rarely involves one individual," Henning told The Detroit News. "So the concern is if you send a subpoena and ask for recording devices, those things can be erased." Leach, Ford and the FBI declined to comment on the investigation. Ford E-Series chassis cabs and cutaways to survive mass Transit onslaught
Fri, 18 Apr 2014In March 2013, Ford announced we'd be getting chassis cab and cutaway versions of the Transit. Since incoming Transit vans will soon be rolling over the grave of the E-Series van, it was assumed that all E-Series models would go six feet under as well. According to a report from PickupTrucks.com, however, that's not the case, the report claiming that the highly modifiable E-350 and E-450 chassis cab and cutaway versions will continue being produced in Avon Lake, Ohio "at least until 2020."
Being decades old, the be-cabbed E-Series platform has found its way under an army of heavy-duty shuttle buses, work truck and ambulances. Ford spokeswoman Jessica Enoch verified the production horizon, telling Autoblog that the particular E-Series configuration "are a higher GVWR than the Transit chassis cab and cutaway (available this summer), which is more Class 2 and a new segment for us." So there you have it.
