I am selling my Frame OFF 1976 Ford Bronco and my reserve is less then half its value.  After a full blown 100% frame off restoration,  I bought this Bronco in 2009 with 1000 miles on it.  I have a clear Indiana title to this truck in my name.  I have had this Bronco 5 years and it now has 2900 miles on it.  I only drive it in nice weather.  The previous owner did a 100% nut and bolt frame off restoration on this Bronco and spared no expense.   It took him 2 years to restore this Bronco and he PAID out $46,000 in parts.   I have in my possession every receipt ever spent on this machine.   The receipts are 2 inches thick and I totaled them up and they equal $46,000.  This is just the PAID receipts.  This $46k does not include the 1000's of hours of labor spent on this machine.   I have the restorers name, phone number, and address.  This information will be turned over to the buyer in order to contact him.  Doug, the restorer, meticulously documented the restoration every step of the way through many, many photographs.  Ebay only allows 24 pictures, but if you want more, I have 200 pictures that Doug took during the restoration.
I also have pictures from when Doug bought this truck from Texas and it was rust free.   Doug starting buying parts from Wild Horses, Tom's bronco, and BC Bronco which are 3 the big suppliers.  We are talking $46,000 in spent receipts.  Everything on this bronco was disassembled down to the bare frame and every single part is either new or refurbished.  From memory I will try to describe what the Doug did.

1.   New Crate 351 motor with new Edelbrock carburetor
2.   New Air Conditioning.
3.   New Stainless Steel Wind shield frame which allows for the wipers to be below. (Bronco wipers are on top)
4.   New 5 Speed Tranny
5.   New Dual Gas Tanks which are controlled by switch
6.   New WARN Differentials which are controlled independently.  In other words, the truck can be front wheel
drive, rear wheel drive, or 4 wheel drive.  All 3 options can be independently in High or Low gear.
7.   New front Brush Guard
8.   New remote wireless Winch
9.   New Fog Lights
10. New rear Guard and Spare tire holder and Gas can holder
11. New tires and 5 New rims
12. New Full Roll Cage (Not Installed but goes with the truck)
13. New Radiator Alternator, Battery, Fuel Pump, Oil Pump, etc....
14. New shocks
15. New Lift Kit for a tasteful 3" lift
16. New Exhaust system which rumbles with Flowmaster Mufflers
17. New Wheel Well Fender flares
18.
Totally refurbished removable top in perfect condition with dark tinted windows
19. Dark tinted windows all around
20. New steering wheel and the truck turns on a dime.  Very tight radius
21. New hydraulic brakes, lines, and rotors which stop on a dime
New EVERYTHING!!  New carpet, primer/paint, wiring through out, gauges, radio/CD/flash drive, steering shaft, head liner, sound proofing insulation, belts, battery, every part under the hood is new, every seal, clip, and part on the truck is new except the body, glass, frame, and seats.

The guy I bought it from, Doug, ran out of money and therefore told me that he did not do 3 things to this vehicle.
1. He did not recover the seats.  There are no rips or tears and Not needed in my opinion!!
2. He did not fix a very little chip in the windshield.  If I did not tell you this, you would not see it.  Not needed!!
3. Finally, since the new windshield frame is stainless steel, the paint had a hard time sticking to it in one area.  There is a small area on the
windshield frame that looks OK, but if you want it perfect, it would require a repaint.  It does not look bad however.  I am nitpicking.

I suggest that if you are interested in this Bronco to call me and request the 200 pictures.  Some people do not like bidding on Ebay and want to speak to the owner
personally.  I encourage that!!!   You should know WHO you are buying this from.   I have 100% feedback and nothing to hide so here is my phone.  317 201-7777.  I know it sounds ridiculous how much money and time Doug put into this restoration.  To the tune of $70,000.  I am letting it go for less half  that.

Thanks and Good Luck

Pickup prices rising at 2x industry average

Tue, 11 Jun 2013

We've said it before, but bears repeating: Pickup trucks are the financial engines of America's automakers. Good thing, then, that the segment is in rude health - in fact, Automotive News is suggesting that pickup truck sales are arguably healthier than they were pre-recession, even though the segment's volume is still significantly down from where it was before the bottom fell out of the US economy. That's because per-unit profits on full-size trucks are skyrocketing, outpacing the industry's average price increases by more than double since 2005. According to data from Edmunds, the average transaction price of a full-size pickup is now $39,915 - a heady increase over the $31,059 average price in 2005 - a gain of over 8 percent after inflation is factored in.
Just how important are trucks to automakers' bottom lines? Automotive News quotes a Morgan Stanley analyst as saying the Ford F-Series is responsible for 90 percent of the company's 2012 profits, and General Motors isn't far behind, with the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra twins chipping in about two-thirds of the automaker's earnings.
Automotive News points out that Detroit's automakers now have the money to invest in modernizing their full-size truck offerings, in part because they don't have the same overhead and legacy costs that pushed General Motors and Chrysler into bankruptcy. Certainly, the pickup segment has seen a lot of innovations as of late, including turbocharged V6s, coil-spring rear suspensions and active aero. Those improvements in important areas like fuel economy and ride comfort have given existing pickup buyers new reasons to upgrade. In addition, automakers are piling on the tech and luxury goodies, creating more and more high-content, high-profit models like the Ford F-150 King Ranch, Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn and Chevrolet Silverado High Country (shown).

Ford Fiesta ST gets worked out on the track

Sun, 10 Mar 2013

We're big fans of the turbocharged Ford Focus ST, and we're plenty excited that the Blue Oval will be offering a similar treatment on the smaller Fiesta here in the United States, too. We first saw the production-ready Fiesta ST five-door at the Los Angeles Auto Show last fall, and Ford has now released this video of a Euro-spec three-door ST being flung around the track.
But not just any track - the challenging Track 7 of Ford's Lommel Proving Grounds in Belgium. The course features 20 turns and plenty of elevation changes along its 2.7-mile loop, and David Put, a vehicle dynamic specialist at Ford, shows just how good the pint-sized Fiesta ST is at handling the lot, even getting the smallest ST up on three wheels every now and then.
It sure does look like a lot of fun, and makes us really eager for our chance to try this ourselves. Scroll down to see the hot little Ford getting busy.

Detroit Three's lucrative pickup war intensifies as Ram makes big gains

Thu, Jan 3 2019

DETROIT — The battle for profits from sales of large pickup trucks is intensifying among the Detroit Three automakers as sales of small cars in the United States shrivel. For decades Ford has had the single best-selling truck brand in its F-Series trucks. General Motors' Chevrolet brand was a solid No. 2, and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' Ram was a distant third. Now, that hierarchy may be in flux. Sales figures for December and the fourth quarter released on Thursday show Ram tied with GM's Chevy for the No. 2 spot, as sales of the redesigned Ram pickup surged, fueled in part by demand for an optional 12-inch (30.48 cm) dashboard screen. Chevy not long ago held second place to Ford by a wide margin. GM executives said on Thursday they are bullish on their new GMC and Chevy trucks for 2019.Related: How the Detroit Three's pickups compare on paper 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie review 2019 Chevy Silverado 2.7L four-cylinder review 2019 Ford F-150 2.7L EcoBoost review "There's no doubt this segment (pickup trucks) is one of the epicenters of the auto wars," said Sandor Piszar, director of marketing for Chevrolet at GM. "It's been that way forever, and we wouldn't have it any other way." On Wall Street, investors give electric car leader Tesla a higher valuation than any of the Detroit automakers. But in the nation's heartland, big pickups remain far more popular and profitable than any electric car — and most other consumer vehicles of any kind. Large pickups generate at least $17,000 a vehicle in pretax profit for GM, the company has indicated in disclosures to investors. By contrast, many Detroit Three sedans are so unprofitable, their manufacturers have decided not to build them anymore. 'Hotly contested' Sustaining sales and pricing in the large-pickup segment will be critical in a year when most forecasters expect overall U.S. car and light truck sales to fall. Ford's U.S. sales chief, Mark LaNeve, on Thursday called the F Series "the backbone of our franchise" during a conference call, and added the "segment will continue to be strong, but hotly contested" in 2019. Automakers are banking on pickup truck sales to stay strong even if U.S. interest rates continue to rise. Rising interest rates translate into higher monthly car payments and are expected to deter some buyers in 2019. GM has said 27 percent of Chevrolet and GMC trucks — which can haul trailers by day and substitute for a luxury sedan by night — sell for more than $55,000.
