1975 Ford Bronco. 302 with C4 automatic. Power steering & power drum brakes. Dana 30 front, 9" rear. 3" lift. Runs and drives excellent. Drives down the road 55 mph nice and smooth, or in traffic doesn't overheat. I've been driving back and forth to work this summer and it's a blast to drive! Gets tons of looks.
Truck spent most of it's life out west. Body is really good. Note, front drivers fender- hit a tree stump and messed it up a little. It is repairable. Other than that body is great. Doors, floors, quarters. Front floor boards had a little rust so I had local body shop install new floor pans from Bronco Graveyard on both drivers and passenger side. Also I had new rockers installed while I was at it because they were rusty. Door pillars, window frame etc very solid. Front inner fender wheels have a bit of rust, see photos.
Interior: Does not have original bronco bucket seats. Back seat is original bronco seat. Decent crash dash but needs new door panels and carpet.
Prerunner bumpers front and back. Warn winch on front
Pioneer removeable face cd player
Original wiring. Could definitely stand a rewire. Speedo, gas gauge work properly.
New this summer:
Delphi steering box conversion
Pro-comp wheels and 35x12.50x15 tires
New brakes and components all around
Rubber fender flares from Tom's Broncos
Includes: Hard top in excellent condition, bikini top, fiberglass fenders, fiberglass inner fender wells

Shelby GT500 and Roush Stage 3 go head to head at the drag strip
Wed, 07 Aug 2013The Ford Mustang is a brilliantly affordable source of horsepower, with a base 300-plus-horsepower version available for well under $30,000. Jumping up to about $35,000 will get you a solid 420 horsepower from a high-revving V8, while those with some extra disposable income can get a pair of 600-plus-horsepower monsters. Both the Roush Stage 3 with its Phase 3 package and Ford's factory Shelby GT500 even crest the 650-horsepower mark, with 675 and 662 ponies, respectively.
Naturally, someone needed to find out which of these hi-po Mustangs was the quickest. And while this video is quite obviously a dealership commercial, at least there's some solid drag racing between two of the most powerful performance machines available for under $100,000.
With two NHRA drag racers at the wheel, the Stage 3 and GT500 go head to head for three races. Scroll down below to see the results in the full video.
Project Ugly Horse: Part VI
Thu, 21 Mar 2013Solid axle? What solid axle?
I was fully prepared to embark on a seven-day journey down a rabbit hole of broken bolts, internet hearsay and consternation.
This should not have gone this easily. Having a long and checkered history of simple projects punctuated by much wailing and gnashing of knuckles, I was fully prepared to embark on a seven-day journey down a rabbit hole of broken bolts, internet hearsay and consternation when I finally decided to lay hands on the '89 Mustang with the goal of relieving the car of its stock rear axle. Instead, it took less than a full morning's worth of work to carve the old 7.5-inch solid axle from its moorings and mock up something, well, different.
Ford turns Navistar from truck business customer to rival
Mon, 19 May 2014There is a showdown brewing in the medium-duty truck segment next year as Ford prepares to launch its all-new, in-house engineered 2016 F-650 and F-750. It finally marks the end of the Blue Diamond joint venture between Ford and Navistar and, making the two entities direct competitors instead of partners.
Ford announced the end of the joint venture in an investor report in 2011, but it didn't reveal the new F-650 and F-750 until the NTEA Work Truck Show in Indianapolis, IN, in March. Unlike the current, Mexican-built models, the new generation will be built in Avon Lake, OH, starting in mid-2015.
The challenge from Ford comes during a rough patch for Navistar. The company had a $248 million loss in the first quarter, according to The Wall Street Journal, and its medium-duty truck market share is currently down to 26 percent, from 36 percent in 2011. Building the previous-generation Fords brought in about $400 million a year to Navistar, according to the WSJ. To take on its former partner, Navistar plans to offer its International brand of medium-duty vehicles with more engine and transmission options to customers. It even struck a deal with Cummins to put its diesels in some of the models.
