~If you have been looking for an clean, affordable Bronco here is your chance. This is a Very nice 1975 Ford Bronco! 100% Rust free, life long California truck. 302 V8, Automatic, 4x4, power steering and brakes. Its not plagued with the typical rust issues that affects so many of these trucks. Its never seen a salty road or a day of bad weather in its life! Never off road or abused. Really clean rig!

~The body is in fantastic shape! One of the nicest you will find anywhere. Especially at this price range! As I stated before and most importantly NO Rust! Its not all bondoed up either. It still retains all of its original body panels and its very straight. You can see all of the factory pinch welds all the way down the bottom of both rockers. Floor pans are perfect and original! No rust, undercoating rhino lining, patching ect... Just nice and original. Paint looks really nice but is not perfect. Has a few tiny paint chips here and there but shines up nicely and is very presentable. Absolutely no need to paint it.

~The interior is in good shape. Dash is nice. Instruments are clean. Carpet is good. Back seat is nice. Fronts could stand to be redone.

~The truck runs and drives but could use some engine work. It starts up with no smoke, leaks of funny noises. The previous owner use to drive it on a daily basis. He recently installed a new distributor I think it could use some adjustment. Backfires up through the carburetor sometimes. Seems like the timing is off but I am not a professional mechanic. Transmission shifts smooth. Running gear is tight. Steers straight down the road. This is the  Perfect Bronco to do a little work on and save alot of $$$. With very little tlc this is a $20K Bronco. I would love to keep it but I am in the middle of a house remodel and have to many projects. Just dont have the time. These good old rust free Broncos are getting nearly impossible to find and if you do find one their $20-$50K.

~TERMS OF SALE - non refundable $1,000 deposit due 24 hours after auction ends. Car needs to be paid for in full within 3 days. I will do everything I can to make this a pleasant buying experience but PLEASE do not bid on it if you do not intend to buy it or if you do not have your finances in order. Its not cheap to sell cars on eBay and it just wastes everyone’s time. Shipping is buyers responsibility but I will be happy to assist if you like. Usually $300-$1000 door to door C.O.D. anywhere in the US. International buyers welcome. I can have the car transported to Los Angles for overseas buyers. I encourage anybody who is interested to come look for themselves. I live in San Diego and would be more than happy to pick you up at the airport to view the car in person. I do my best to represent and describe things as honestly and as accurately as possible. Car is sold as is where is with no warranties expressed or implied. Thanks for looking and good luck!

Carmakers, NHTSA to unveil auto-emergency braking agreement tomorrow

Wed, Mar 16 2016

Happy St. Patrick's Day Eve. Tomorrow, there will be green beer, corned beef and cabbage, and automatic emergency braking for all. Weird combo, we know. But on St. Patty's we can expect an official announcement from a pact of automakers making auto-braking systems standard equipment by 2022. That's per a report from Reuters, which cites three sources familiar with the plans. Originally announced in September 2015 by 10 automakers and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the agreement is expected to be even larger when the details are unveiled tomorrow. According to Reuters, the manufacturers of 99 percent of the US domestic market's vehicles will be represented by the new agreement. It's believed that standard AEB systems could prevent thousands of accidents across the country. Expect more on the official announcement when it's made. Related Video:

Ford reveals automated Fusion Hybrid

Thu, 12 Dec 2013

Autonomous cars may still be in their infancy, but more and more big names in the auto industry are diving in head first. Nissan is already making strides with a semi-autonomous Leaf EV and General Motors is planning to offer semi-autonomous tech by 2020. And then there's Google, doing its thing with a fleet of Toyota Prius. Now, Ford is showing off its latest automated effort, a driverless Fusion Hybrid.
Partnering with the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) and State Farm Insurance, the project is part of Ford's Blueprint for Mobility, the company's plan for transportation beyond 2025. "The Ford Fusion Hybrid automated vehicle represents a vital step toward our vision for the future of mobility," Chairman Bill Ford said. "We see a future of connected cars that communicate with each other and the world around them to make driving safer, ease traffic congestion and sustain the environment."
The automated Fusion features four LiDAR infrared sensors that scan the road 2.5 million times every second, using a principle similar to the echolocation used by dolphins or bats. Using the infrared light emitted by the LiDAR, the car can draw a picture of everything within 200 feet to create a map of its surroundings. According to Ford, the sensors are able to tell the difference between a paper bag and a small animal from a football field away.

Ford builds Lightweight Concept with Fusion shell [w/video]

Wed, 04 Jun 2014

It's a fairly well known fact that removing weight from a car is essentially a panacea for many of the modern automobiles problems. Does it handle like crap? Remove weight. Underpowered? Don't add power; trim the fat. Need to improve fuel economy? It's diet time.
Actually executing a major weight reduction program, though, much like with human beings, is no easy task. Unlike you or I, where motivation is the issue, the prohibitive measure in trimming a car's waistline is money. Lightweight materials are expensive, with carbon fiber and carbon-fiber reinforced plastic still primarily in the domain of higher end vehicles. Even aluminum construction, pioneered on a mass-produced level by Audi and Jaguar, is only now starting to make its way into the mainstream, thanks to the upcoming Ford F-150.
With this concept, though, Ford is attempting to show that a mass-produced, lightweight vehicle isn't too far off. This is the Lightweight Concept, and while it may look like a Fusion, it weighs as much as a Fiesta. For reference, the lightest Fusion available to the public is the 3,323-pound, 2.5-liter model with a manual transmission. A manually equipped, 1.6-liter Fiesta, meanwhile, is just 2,537 pounds.
