1973 Ford Bronco on 2040-cars
Virginia Beach, Virginia, United States
I really hate to sell this truck but with a new house that needs some work I'm left with little choice. This truck Drives great! You can take your hands off the wheel at highway speeds no problem. As the Title says it does need the included windshield wiper system installed and the heater core connected and controls installed to 100% complete the build. The heater core and heater fan are brand new and installed they just aren't connected or wired to operate. I drive it all the time now with ZERO issues. A hard top is included but will need some attention to make it shine like the rest of the truck. All glass is intact just mainly needs some paint Listed Below are some of the features. 4.5" Suspension Lift 35" Tires Rebuilt 302 New Holley 670 Street Avenger Card w/ Electric Choke New Power Brake System Edlebrock Airgap Series Polished Intake Manifold Power Steering Custom Reclining Seats Simpson Camlock 5 Point Harness Nardi Steering Wheel w/ Adapter and Horn Button 3" Super Duty Tilt Column New Glass Windshield and Side Windows New Dash Pad Not a Recover Dakota Digital / Analog Dash Cluster w/ All New Sensors Dual Electronic Switching Gas Tanks (auxiliary tank not hooked up) Electronic Ignition System with Taylor 8mm Silicone Cables Wrapped Headers Mac Flowpath Stainless Steel Mufflers Hurst Floor Shifter with Steel Tunnel Cover Twin Shifters on Transfer New Stainless Steel Quick Release Door Hinges New Clutch and Flywheel New Mini Starter New Motor Mounts Kragen Rims New Firewall Insulator and Under Dash Insulator New Glove Box New Heater Core and Heater Fan (currently not hooked up) All New Ball Joints, U Joints New Emergency Brake Set Up New Optima Battery New Hood Shocks New Windshield Knobs New Carpet New Belts, Water Pump, Hoses, Timing Chain |

Ford cuts 950 Russian jobs on weak demand
Thu, 03 Apr 2014The Russian auto market, in decline for the past year and further hit by the declining value of the ruble and recent sanctions over its annexation of Crimea, has forced Ford to cut jobs and shifts at two of its joint venture plants there. Around 700 of the 2,700 total workers who build the Russian-market Focus and Mondeo will be cut at the plant in Vsevolozhsk, near St. Petersburg as it drops to a single production shift. A second plant about 700 miles away in Yelabuga, in the Tartarstan region, will lose 250 workers. That plant builds seven vehicles, including the Explorer, Kuga and Edge.
The Moscow Times says Ford has been especially hit by the market decline, the overall market losing 5.5 percent in 2013 compared to the year before, but Ford sales dropping 18 percent in 2013 year-on-year. This year isn't going any better, with The Blue Oval posting a 21-percent decline through the first two months of 2014. That's why, though the Yelabuga plant builds the CUVs that customers are moving into, even it is facing cuts.
The job cuts in Vsevolozhsk come on top four-week plant shutdown planned so that the paint and body shops can go to one shift. In a statement, the company said, "Ford Sollers remains absolutely committed to the Russian market and is confident it has the right product plan, people and assets to deliver long-term profitable growth."
Ford Announces Free Brake-Pad Offer If Customers Stop By Dealers
Mon, Aug 4 2014These days, when you buy a new car, it's not unreasonable to expect a certain period of free maintenance to come along as well. Sometimes this is through the life of the warranty, in other cases a little less. But Ford Motor Company is going beyond those deals for at least one part of its cars. As of now, if you buy a set of Motorcraft brake pads for a Ford, Lincoln or Mercury model, you get free replacements for as long as you own the vehicle. The offer is good at Ford or Lincoln dealers and Quick Lane Tire & Auto Centers. "We will replace the pads for as long as you own the vehicle," said Elizabeth Weigandt to Autoblog. She did clarify that the Motorcraft pads are generally for models from the '90s or newer. Also, to take advantage of this program, a person must return to the same dealer each time to get the free parts. Of course, Ford isn't just handing out brake pads to anyone who walks by; there are certain stipulations. First, the components have to be worn down to less than three millimeters to be eligible, and the buyer still has to pay for the labor to install them. If the model is used as a fleet vehicle for commercial purposes like as a taxi or limousine, this offer also doesn't apply; the same thing for racecars. On the plus side, if you recently bought a set of pads from one of the participating locations, you're still in luck. The deal covers parts purchased as of July 1. "This program reflects our commitment to providing customers with an excellent ownership experience regardless of the age of their vehicle," said Frederiek Toney, President of Ford Customer Service, in the company's announcement of the offer. Here's what the UAW will be angling for in next year's contract negotiations
Mon, Dec 15 2014The United Auto Workers union is about to enter a new round of negotiations with the Detroit Three automakers, and this time, the focus is on the end of the two-tier wage system. Introduced in 2007, the two-tier wage system was enacted to allow General Motors, Ford and Chrysler to categorize its hourly employees under two categories: Tier 1 for veteran employees with full rights and benefits, and Tier 2 for short-term or entry-level employees compensated under a different schedule. The idea was that the system would permit the automakers to invest more in their plants and hire new employees as part of their respective recovery plans without being saddled with all the costs associated with hiring full-time employees. Now that the automakers are (more or less) back on their proverbial feet, however, the UAW wants to see an end to the two-tier system, and will likely make that a center-point of its negotiations next year to replace the current arrangement that is scheduled to end in September 2015. Not all members of the UAW will necessarily be interested in ending the two-tier system, however. According to The Detroit News, some Tier 1 workers may be more interested in negotiating a raise in their hourly rate – something which they haven't received in almost a decade. Tier 2 workers, meanwhile, may be more motivated to keep the tiered system in place, as their arrangement includes provisions for profit-sharing payments that have seen the automakers pay out billions to so-called short-term employees in lump-sum payments. Reconciling the two competing demands from two categories of union members and presenting a united front in negotiations may prove the biggest challenge for the UAW's new president, Dennis Williams. And with the right to strike – something which was suspended during the last round of negotiations in 2011 – the union has a bigger bargaining chip in its pocket.
