1971 Ford Bronco on 2040-cars
Armona, California, United States
Feel free to ask me any questions about the car : burchard73@zoho.com .
Hi, I'm selling my personal frame off resto-mod Bronco. I purchased this for the sole purpose to build an
incredible show car and weekend driver. The restoration took almost two years and no expense spared. The body was
removed and the entire bronco taken apart. The body was blasted and the panels that needed to be replaced were. Not
necessarily from any issues but wanted to have the best canvas to start with. The body was then sealed and sent to
the body shop for paint. There was over 120 hours spent on making sure that the Lamborghini paint was going to be
prefect. The under side was coated with a bedliner type paint. The frame was sent to blast as well and was painted
with a frame gloss black paint. A disc brake conversion and new brake and fuel lines were installed as well as all
body mounts, shocks, gas tank and skid plate, springs (3 1/2), bumpers and t-case mount. The top was also blasted
sealed and painted and installed all new glass, seals, shocks, and hardware. Once the body was painted is was
placed back on the frame for final assembly. I installed a brand new create 302 and every nut and bolt was
replaced. The engine has new valve covers, manifold, ignition, oil pan, carb, plug wires, fuel pump, water pump,
fan, radiator, radiator hoses, belts alternator, and power steering pump. I also had a custom intake done so that
there was no clearance issues with the new factory hood. The transmission shifter cane was customized and installed
to allow the np435 to clear with a very clean look. The interior was completely insulated and all new carpet was
installed. 4 speakers were installed as well as an amp that allows you to play your phone through the speakers with
no head unit. A new console was installed and custom switch panel with push button start was fabricated to be
locked into the console for parking and storage. All new front and rear seats were installed along with new trim
and seat brackets. Racing seat belts were installed for the front seats. The dash was custom made for the auto
meter gauges. All new column, steering wheel, intermediate steering shaft, pedals, and dash were installed. The
wiring was a new kit and was made with custom hidden fuse box. All wiring was done, terminated, and loomed. New led
tail lights. The all new windshield, seals, door seals, inner door mechanics, door panels, door glass, mirrors,
handles, hinges and latches were installed. A custom roll cage was built, powder coated and installed.
Almost every single nut or bolt was replaced with ford bronco specific hardware. A custom dual flow master exhaust
was done.
All new driveshafts, joints and hardware
Basically everything is new
I am not a company that built this as a cookie cutter for profit. This bronco was built as a 1 off custom build for
my personal collection.
Before delivery the bronco will be sent out for polishing, break in oil change, once over on all bolts to ensure
its perfect. There was a couple small things that need touched up from the final assembly. I have put roughly 60
miles on it sense it was completed. It is absolutely incredible to drive. Life has changed in the last two years
and I can no longer keep it. If the bronco doesn't sell for what the market dictates for a build like this then it
will wait to be sold at either Barrett Jackson or Mecum later this year. Thank you for looking and let me know if
you have any questions.
I am located in Northern California and buyer is responsible for pickup. I will help facilitate though.

Mulally to stay at Ford through end of 2014 at least
Fri, 06 Dec 2013Alan Mulally isn't going anywhere... at least not just yet. The CEO who helped turn around Ford Motor Company has been linked to the top job at tech behemoth Microsoft, leading to a flurry of rumors about potential successors. Those rumors, though, may have just been put to rest - at least for a little while.
Speaking to Edsel Ford II (great-grandson of company founder Henry Ford) at the unveiling of the new Mustang, Automotive News Europe confirmed that Mulally would stick around until the end of next year. "Alan is staying through the end of 2014 and that's all I know," said Ford. "Frankly, he has told us that his plan is to stay with Ford through the end of 2014."
Presuming that Edsel Ford is correct and that Microsoft isn't so hot on Mulally that it saves the position for him, it seems increasingly likely that the 68-year-old exec is more interested in continuing to work in Dearborn rather than in Redmond.
MotorWeek remembers pre-EcoBoost Ford with the Thunderbird TurboCoupe
Thu, Feb 26 2015Sometimes it feels great to embrace nostalgia for a trip down memory lane, and MotorWeek indulges that occasional desire with its regular Retro Review series. This time, the long-lived show goes back to the '80s to check out two of the top performance vehicles in the Ford lineup at the time – the 1987 Thunderbird TurboCoupe and Mustang GT. Both models had just received thorough refreshes after several years on the market. Long before an EcoBoost badge ever met its models, Ford made early forays into experimenting with turbocharging on vehicles like the T-Bird TurboCoupe. Based on MotorWeek's assessment, the company was on the right track. The boosted 2.3-liter four-cylinder was apparently a bit coarse but offered 190 horsepower with little turbo lag, compared to 155 hp the year before. The Mustang GT is likely the more-fondly remembered of these performance Fords today and provides an interesting point of comparison against the TurboCoupe. MotorWeek found some faults with the 'Stang, though. While it was quick for the time with a sprint to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds, the 'car was described as "a nose-heavy beast" for its handling. And for a look at Ford's future in turbocharging – the GT will have an EcoBoost powerplant – check out our Related Video:
Ford Australia pulls the ol' talking car prank
Mon, 07 Apr 2014Siri from Apple has proven that being able to talk to your technology doesn't always work perfectly. But what if it could eventually go far enough to give a personality to inanimate objects like our cars? Ford took just this path to comedic effect by playing a prank on many unsuspecting Australians, in a new commercial for its EcoSport compact crossover.
The Aussies seem very nonchalant about having a random parked car talk to them, and they seem surprisingly game when it asks them to get in, call a celebrity and tell a joke. (We're guessing there are some hilarious outtakes, too.) Scroll down to watch some folks from Down Under have a conversation with Ford's CUV.
