For Sale is my 1966 Bronco Sport. I bought this in 2009 as a restoration project. I did all the work myself except the paint. It took me 7 months of evenings and weekends to complete. It was originally uncut and I left it that way for a year. Eventually, I could not stand having the wheels I really wanted so I cut the fenders and installed the bushwacker fender flares. I kept the cutouts in case someone would want to revert it back. My goal for this bronco was not for it to be a show truck, although it has been in a few. I built it purely for the purpose of hunting and fishing. I used it to launch my boat into the river from my property and to hunt the mountains of North Central PA (primarily in Potter and Clinton County). For hunting in the mountains I've taken this back some of the most remote unplowed roads available, I never got stuck and it always gets me home or gets the deer out.  I have a new project now and need the garage space.

For the restore I replaced nearly every mechanical part available. New brakes, drums, shoes, lines, reservoir, radiator, alternator, headlight switch,am/fm cd radio, fuel pump, electronic ignition, rebuilt carb, all new door hinges, latches, all new body mounts (mounts are 1" thicker than stock, providing a one inch lift), bronco II mirrors, washer and pump, and more. The top end of the engine has been rebuilt with new valves and gaskets. It is the original 6cylinder engine, which is an early 66 engine, since it has solid lifters (same engine as was in the ford econoline, had to get help from a very old mechanic to figure out how to adjust the valves). I left the inside fairly stock except for the rear seat which is an after market with seat belts (required to take the grandkids for a ride). I keep the bronco at my hunting camp near Lock Haven, PA.  I have thousands invested and many receipts.  I have replaced many more parts than I have listed. It always passes inspection and is super dependable. However, its an old school ride with 3 on the tree manual shifting, hand choke to warm it up, and its geared very low so not an ideal highway vehicle.  When I do take in on the highway I usually do not go over 55mph, the 31" tires have an aggressive tread and are quite noisy over 45mph.  I'm not revealing the reserve, but it is much lower than the buy it now price, and very fair given the condition of the bronco.

Not included in the sale are the air horns, gun racks, and grenade shifter.  Included, but not pictured, with the buy it now price is an assortment of spare bronco parts: stock bumpers, completed upholstery kit for front and rear stock seats, adapter and 2 barrel carb (to upgrade from 1barrel), and numerous other parts like battery box and a tailgate.  Fender cutouts are included in the auction sell as well as a matching spare rim to the wheels on the Bronco..

Questions:  Rust is always the first asked on this vehicles.  When I bought this project Bronco there were no major rust issues only small issues that I mostly addressed by cutting out the area and replaced with new metal.  Previously repaired was the drivers floor pan and the rocker panels.  Since both of these repairs seemed pretty solid I left them as is and have not had any issues in this area since 2009.  The area I didn't address, but now regret is the rear quarter panels. From a previous owner, both quarters have some bondo in the seam between the upper and lower sections.  As you can see in the pictures on the right rear quarter it began to crack over time.  Probably because I drive the bronco mostly on rough mountain roads.  The other area that I re-enforced was the rear of the frame where the after market bumper is attached.  It looked thin to me so I welded in additional plate steel before adding the bumper.  Mainly because I use the Bronco to tow my boat to the lake as well.  When I did the restore I scaled the entire frame and coated it with the stuff that neutralizes surface rust and makes the paint extra hard. The roof and rockers I painted with spray bed liner, some of that is flaking off the roof.   There are also a few chips and scratches in paint. A larger chip is on the top of the right front fender, from a zipper, its touched up in the picture.  Any additional questions, feel free to contact me.

Preferred payment is a M&T Bank money order or one from the US Post Office a scan/copy needs to be sent to me at least 5 days before pickup so it can be verified.

50 new vehicles by 2025: Ford making big push in China

Tue, Dec 5 2017

SHANGHAI — Ford will launch 50 new vehicles in China by 2025, including 15 electrified vehicles, the U.S. firm said at an event in Shanghai on Tuesday, as it looks to rev up sales growth in the market and shift towards cleaner electric cars. Ford's sales in China have been weak in recent months, and the company is scrambling to come up with electric and hybrid vehicles to comply with strict Chinese quotas over production and sales for so-called new energy vehicles, or NEVs. The U.S. automaker is undergoing a broad review of its China operations, part of a strategic re-think under new Chief Executive Officer Jim Hackett, which will likely see the company focus on electric commercial vans as well as electric cars. "Between now and 2025, we will launch 50 new vehicles in China, and of those 50 new vehicles, 15 of them will be all-new electrified vehicles," said Peter Fleet, Ford's head of Asia Pacific, pointing to big growth in the "utility" segment. Fleet also said Ford's China revenue would grow by 50 percent over the same period. China is pushing automakers toward electric and hybrid petrol-electric vehicles, setting tough quotas for NEVs that come into play in 2019, and has signaled a longer-term shift away from traditional internal combustion engine cars. The major shift in the world's largest auto market has jolted some automakers, sparking a spate of recent electric vehicle (EV) joint ventures in the market. Ford has announced an EV tie-up with China's Anhui Zotye Automobile Co Ltd. "We've never seen change like we do today," said Ford Executive Chairman Bill Ford. "Everything is being disrupted" by the development of autonomous vehicles, trends such as ride-sharing and electric vehicles, he added. "It's clearly the case that China will lead the world in EV development, and so we at Ford are investing enormous amounts of money both here in China and globally to bring electrification into fruition." Ford reserving 50th Anniversary Mustangs for service members

Tue, Dec 16 2014

Think getting your hands on one of the 1,964 50th Anniversary Ford Mustangs is hard as a civilian? Imagine how tough it might be for the Mustang fanatics in our nation's military. Perhaps recognizing this fact, Ford Emerging Market Services and the Overseas Military Sales Corporation (the only Ford-authorized retailer on the military's bases) ran a raffle, with the winners receiving the opportunity to purchase one of the limited-edition muscle cars. Ford EMS and OMS received 300 entries to the raffle, although with only eight 50th Anniversary Stangs to hand out, we imagine there were quite a lot of disappointed soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines. "We are pleased to offer limited-edition anniversary Mustangs to members of our military through our Military Appreciation Program, and we are delighted at the response it's receiving," Doug Walczak, EMS' fleet sales manager, said. The first Mustang was delivered to Army Maj. Del Boyer, shown above. While Maj. Boyer took delivery in New York, the raffle was open to servicemembers both at home and abroad.
