87 Ford Bronco Ii Southern No Rust on 2040-cars
Salamanca, New York, United States
1987 ford bronco II with 154,600 original miles. This came from florida 1 year ago. All z-bar undercoated. It is the eddie bauer edition. It has the 2.9 liter fuel injected with a 5 speed standard transmission. I have amsoil in the rear end and amsoil oil in it. This vehicle doesn't smoke or burn oil. 19-20mpg. This has all the power options like windows and locks. The only thing that doesn't work is air conditioning. This is a clean vehicle that runs and drives great. I drive it daily. I just need something with 4 doors for the children to make it easier. The only bad thing with this vehicle is the paint of course being 27 years old and the passenger side front fender and part of the front bumper. I did hit a deer with it just has some damage at the bottom of the fender. I do have this for sale locally so I do reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
This will make someone a great restore project and be a nice show vehicle with not many of these left. This was my intention but my lose is your gain. Just so everyone knows the tailgate is blue because when I bought it someone had broke the side of the old one so I replaced it with the intention of having the whole vehicle restored and painted. new parts on this vehicle are as follows in the last year......battery, air filter, valve cover gasket set, front brakes and rotors, e-brake cable, both fuel filters, muffler, tailpipe, rear brake shoes, wheel cylinders, wheel seals, tires, o2 sensor, fuel tank and pump, master cylinder for the clutch, both power window motors, both front brake hoses, both outer tie rods, front wheel bearings on the driver side, alternator and belt, there might be something else I might be missing. I am a mechanic so this thing was taken care of and it just passed our safety inspection in February. |

2015 Ford Mustang [w/videos]
Thu, 05 Dec 2013
It'd be unwise to bet against the sixth generation of this legendary nameplate.
The 2015 Ford Mustang is assuredly the most anticipated new vehicle of the year. The redesigned Pony Car has been the subject of frantic gossiping and covert spy photos covering everything from the way it looks to the tech it will include, its performance, mechanicals and a bevy of other aspects of Ford's performance icon.
Ford bringing production F-150 to Detroit with Atlas styling and Alcoa blast shields
Fri, 27 Dec 2013According to a report in Bloomberg, the 2015 Ford F-150 will indeed be showing up at the Detroit Auto Show next month. It will bring attitude with it, not only in the form of sheetmetal inspired by the Atlas concept (pictured) that appeared at the 2013 Detroit show but also in the Alcoa military blast shields among the display being used to showcase the ruggedness of aluminum.
There's been a lot of talk about the F-150 switching to aluminum body panels (although maintaining a steel frame), and for good reason. The lightweight body is expected to shed more than 700 pounds and greatly increase its highway mileage, but production-line issues and possible delays have been a major focus of attention concerning the best-selling vehicle in America for 32 years, meaning Ford has to get it right. F-150 is responsible for a massive portion of the company's global profits and it will come in a year when company profits are already predicted to decline because of new car launches.
When it comes to dings, the Bloomberg story says Ford wants Alcoa to supply some of the military-grade aluminum it uses for blast shields on battlefield vehicles to help it talk up the toughness of aluminum. Reading commentary on the many stories about the F-150 reveals there are many more little questions about the aluminum overhaul, like "How much will it cost to repair and insure?" and "How will companies hang their magnetic signs?" Answers should start coming in a couple of weeks.
Amid Mulally rumors, Bill Ford praises company's deep bench
Wed, 02 Oct 2013Bill Ford went on the offensive to combat the rumors that CEO Alan Mulally would leave Dearborn for Steve Ballmer's vacated position leading Microsoft, adding that even if the 68-year-old, former Boeing exec were to depart, the Ford executive team is in a good place.
"I'm happy [Mulally] is going to stick around. But we also feel really good about where we are in terms of succession," Ford told Bloomberg TV, according to Automotive News. Rumors first cropped up about Mulally leaving Ford when AllThingsD speculated that he was in the running, early last month. In that same report, which you can read here, Ford's board of directors reportedly okayed the CEO stepping down ahead of his planned retirement in 2014.
That opened the floodgates, culminating in a report from a few days ago that the rumors over Ballmer's successor just might be true. The story is especially troubling, as Ford hasn't had Mulally under contract, according to AN. "He's here as long as he and I would like it to happen," Ford said, "We're also cognizant of training the next generation and getting them ready to go as well."
