It looks incredible from a distance. But it's not. Look at the photos over and over again to see the rust I have photographed and the dents and dings. It has been painted probably more than once in its past before I got it.

It runs and shifts as it should, no leaks I am aware of, and the inside is bright and nice looking. The drivers seat has a couple of small holes in the rights side. You can see them in the photo.

The tires are like new, the engine was rebuilt within the past year. It cranks easily, shifts smoothly in and out of four wheel drive.

The back gate rattles on bumps.

Somewhere it is leaking. Has moisture in the drivers flood after heavy rain. It has silicon around the top of the side windows as well as the windshield. I have not searched out the leak.

It does not appear to have any leaks but I am not a mechanic.

It runs smoothly down the interstate at 70. I have not been faster than that.

When it is first cranked, the speedometer goes nuts up and down then eventually settles. If you are famliar with driving/restoring older vehicles, you have seen this before. It does not interfere with anything.

Mileage was a tad over 153K when photos were taken and it will be more when the listing is over. I drive it daily

The grand question is why am I selling it. I bought it for someone else and they would prefer something newer.

I am open to offers.

The Bronco is in Anniston Alabama not far off I20. I can meet you there to either test drive or buy. I cannot deliver anywhere.

The photos are pretty clear. Like I said it cranks and runs fine. I drive it often with no issues. THe air system is comlete and the light comes on when you turn it on but it does not start. Needs charging. I am not a mechanic.

The heater is like an oven. Nice and warm.

This beauty is 28 years old. Don't forget that. If I have forgotten to address anything or mispelled any words, feel free to let me know.

Please do not bid unless you are convinced you want it. I am ok with you getting here and finding things I may not have noticed, but I tried to cover everything.

This is cash on pickup only. If you get here and do not like, no big deal. I do and am ok with keeping it. No hard feelings.

Jurassic Park made a big impact on these Jeep drivers

Thu, 12 Jun 2014

For a certain cohort of young folks, Jurassic Park is a touchstone film from their childhood. Not only did it play into practically every little boy's love of dinosaurs, the movie included some great action scenes and special effects that still hold up today. In its latest video, The Aficionauto takes a look the Jurassic Park Motor Pool, a California car club with over 40 fans who created replica vehicles from the iconic film.
The club is made up of an interesting cross-section of people. Many of them were Jeep Wrangler fans that already loved off-roading and Jurassic Park, and liked the idea of bringing them together. Like any close-knit club, it ends up being about community and people coming together to share their interests. It's quite a heartwarming video. Also, be sure to stay until the end because The Aficionauto teases a future Jurassic Park-themed vehicle. Scroll down to check out the motor pool.

Ford hybrid sales rebound following MPG controversy

Sun, 31 Aug 2014

Ford hybrid customers apparently have very short memories. With two EPA fuel economy reratings in the last year, sales of the C-Max, Fusion Hybrid and Lincoln MKZ haven't been too terribly dented, Ward's Auto reports.
All three vehicles saw sales dips following the August 2013 rerating, although sales of the MKZ Hybrid had begun to rebound as early as November of that year. C-Max sales, meanwhile, took slightly longer, with sales on a steadily improving course as early as February of this year.
The second rerating, in June of this year, has had an even smaller effect on the Blue Oval's hybrids. The C-Max has actually been subject to a sales increase, while both the MKZ and Fusion saw minor sales drops (less than 400 units between the two in the month following the rerating).

2016 Ford Mustang SVT hides big power under its domed hood

Tue, 17 Jun 2014

With a number of 2015 Ford Mustang versions finally available to configure, the fun of speculating about next year's high-performance 'Stang can now begin. It looks like Ford has something seriously fun planned too. One of our spy photographers just snapped some fresh pics of the 2016 Mustang SVT, which is believed to be hiding the final body shape under all of that heavy camouflage.
Ford clearly doesn't want prying eyes looking at its new pride and joy. It would be hard to put much more obfuscation on a car than this one wears - it even has mesh baffles around the exhausts to conceal how many there are and panels over the wheels to hide their design. However, the Blue Oval can't keep everything a secret. The biggest clue that something special is hidden underneath is the massive hood bulge and vent in front of it. Clearly, whatever is under there is hungry for cool air. The shape of the camo indicates that there may be fender vents on each side, and there are also obscured outlets behind the front wheels likely to pull cool air through the brakes. At the rear, the concealment does its job, making it hard to observe any big changes. The fact that Ford wants it kept such a secret might indicate something, though.
A few photos of the interior show far less cover than the outside. You can easily make out the model's 6,500 rpm redline with a possible 7,000 rpm over-rev function. The big Recaro sport seats also look quite supportive.
