You are bidding on a 2000 Ford Taurus SE, 4 Door Sedan with Flex Fuel Capabilities. This vehicle comes with the following options: automatic transmission, front wheel drive, 3.0L 182Cu. In. V6 GAS DOHC Naturally Aspirated engine, 6 cylinder, Blue exterior, Grey interior, Anti-lock breaks, passenger and driver airbags, cassette player, power locks, windows and seat; air conditioning, cruise control. It has a total millage of 191,767.
Purchased this car in July of 2008 for my daughter, had 149,731 miles at that time. Oil was changed regularly every 3,000 miles and uses no oil between changes. At 166,700 miles, I replaced all ball joints, sway bars and all four struts. At 172,342 miles, the engine and transmission were rebuilt along with a new water pump. At 189,275 miles, I replaced both front wheel bearings and installed four brand new Goodyear tires. These tires have less than 3000 miles on them. There is some body rust as shown in the pictures. As far as rust underneath the car, the frame, etc. is solid. The interior of the vehicle is close to perfect and very clean. Now that we have virtually fixed or replaced everything that could go wrong with this car, my daughter has decided to purchase a new car. This car runs and drives great! BID WITH CONFIDENCE!!! NHTSA releases updated Takata airbag recalled cars list, but it still has errors

Unfortunately, the government's list still contains errors.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued an updated list of vehicle models that it's urging owners to repair under the mushrooming Takata airbag inflator recall. The latest version adds vehicles from new automakers like Subaru and Ford that are missing from the original announcement, and it also removes erroneous entries from General Motors, leaving only the 2005 Saab 9-2X (a reskinned Subaru WRX), and the 2003-2005 Pontiac Vibe, a joint project with Toyota.
Here's the new face of the Ford Ranger
Thu, Nov 27 2014Ford Asia Pacific has put a teaser video on YouTube showing off details on the 2015 Ranger pickup, and at the end we get a quick glimpse of the whole truck. This is the T6 Ranger that we still don't get in North America, but that shares its underpinnings with the Everest SUV recently introduced at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum. The Ranger gets a chunkier front end than the Everest, identified by its grille with three floating slats, reminiscent of designs on the previous F-150, and a less-stylized lower front bumper. Ford says it will be smarter, safer, smoother and stronger, but we'll have to wait for its reveal to find out what that means. Meanwhile, you can admire its new looks in the video below.
China takes lead as GM's No. 1 market
Tue, 09 Jul 2013It's happened. General Motors' biggest vehicle market - at least in terms of new model sales - is China. According to TheDetroitBureau.com, GM and its various Chinese joint venture operations enjoyed a 10.6-percent sales increase in the first half of 2013, selling almost 1.6 million units in the market. That puts GM China about 200,000 units ahead of its US sales totals over the same period - this, despite indicators that the communist nation's economy is losing momentum.
TDB notes that like GM, rival Ford has also enjoyed a robust 2013 in China thus far, with its sales up a whopping 47 percent to 407,721 units sold - 75,254 of them in June alone. Between the two US automakers, passenger car sales for the first half of 2013 are up around 14 percent, well ahead of the rest of the industry's 10-percent growth estimates for the market. Some of the sales growth may come as a result of an overall anti-Japan sentiment in China, though the American brands have long outsold their Japanese counterparts in the country.
By The General's own predictions, China will only continue to grow in sales importance. The company has designs on selling over five million cars a year in the market before the end of the decade, a total that figures to dramatically widen the gap versus its US totals - even if America's auto market makes a full recovery to the the salad days of over 17-million units a year.
