This Mustang has led a very pampered life as can be seen from it's Stunning Original Condition.

It was bought brand new in Noblesville, Indiana on July 2, 1970 for $3,832.50 by
William Swhier.  It was only driven in nice dry weather and parked in a climate
controlled garage the entire time he owned it.  In 1980 according to the inspection
decal it only had 22,700 miles.

It was sold to Keith Swann in 1992 for $2795.00 with only 27,100 miles and was only
driven a few hundred miles for the next 21 years which helped to keep it in it's
remarkable original condition.  Mr. Swann kept it in a very nice environment
however for the last few years he did not start the car causing the fuel to break
down.

To bring the sleeping beauty back to life in the late summer of 2013 the original
gas tank was replaced along with the fuel lines and original plugs, and the
carburetor was rebuilt.

The original single exhaust needed to be replaced due to condensation from starting
the car regularly without driving it causing the pipes and mufflers to rust out.  That
system was replaced with a dual exhaust system using the original hangers on one
side and duplicate hangars were fabricated for the other side to maintain a stock
looking system.

It has it's Original 351 Cleveland and C-6 Transmission that perform as new, it does
not smoke, stutter, stammer or leak oil. This Mustang is a real pleasure to drive.  It accelerates, steers, shifts and rides like a low mileage original should.  It is almost
like driving a new 1970 Mustang.

This OUTSTANDING SURVIVOR has most of its ORIGINAL PAINT except where the
original owner had the drivers rear quarter repainted since he rubbed the wheel
well lip pulling into the garage.  It is a rarely seen Color of Light Ivy Yellow.  The
paint has excellent shine and is very smooth for 44 year old paint.  It has a few
small areas where the paint is thin and a few touch ups, however many people
think this is a restored car since the paint and everything else looks so new.
The Original sheet metal is completely rust free and only has a few hard to see flaws.
They would not show up in pictures.
The vinyl top is in remarkable condition with no tears or peeling, the color is still
very good.

It has all of it's Original Glass that is in remarkable scratch free condition.
Since it was not driven in the rain the Original windshield has No Windshield
Wiper Scratches!
Note the last state inspection sticker dated 1980.

Original Paperwork including: Invoice, 2 Ownercards, Original Title, New Car
Inspection receipt, Paper Key tag with key numbers and Owners Manual.

As far as I know from my research, this Mustang is all original except for Spark
Plugs, 1 AC line, Exhaust, Gas Tank, Gas Lines, and Belts.

I am not the authority on Original Cars who claims to know everything about
them but I have owned a lot of them and I have honestly described this car to
the best of my ability.  I am not saying this car is perfect, it has some minor
flaws here and there, but it is a rare, wonderfully preserved original Museum
quality car that is a real pleasure to behold.

The only thing that I know of that doesn't work is the A/C does not blow cold.
It had a cracked line and after we replaced it we did not charge the system.

I’m sure I have missed something but if you have questions I will answer them
the best that I can.

If you would like to come and see the car let me know and I will make myself
available.

Thanks very much for viewing my auction.  I Try to treat other people the way
I like to be treated, check my sellers feedback going back 11 years and bid with
confidence.

For EV drivers, realities may dampen the electric elation

Mon, Feb 20 2023

The Atlantic, a decades-old monthly journal well-regarded for its intelligent essays on international news, American politics and cultural happenings, recently turned its attention to the car world. A piece that ran in The Atlantic in October examined the excesses of the GMC Hummer EV for compromising safety. And now in its latest edition, the magazine ran a compelling story about the challenges of driving an electric vehicle and how those experiences “mythologize the car as the great equalizer.” Titled “The Inconvenient Truth About Electric Vehicles,” the story addresses the economics of EVs, the stresses related to range anxiety, the social effects of owning an electric car — as in, affording one — and the overarching need for places to recharge that car. Basically, author Andrew Moseman says that EV life isn't so rosy: “On the eve of the long-promised electric-vehicle revolution, the myth is due for an update. Americans who take the plunge and buy their first EV will find a lot to love Â… they may also find that electric-vehicle ownership upends notions about driving, cost, and freedom, including how much car your money can buy. "No one spends an extra $5,000 to get a bigger gas tank in a Honda Civic, but with an EV, economic status is suddenly more connected to how much of the world you get to see — and how stressed out or annoyed youÂ’ll feel along the way.” Moseman charts how a basic Ford F-150 Lightning electric truck might start at $55,000, but an extended-range battery, which stretches the distance on a charge from 230 miles to 320, “raises the cost to at least $80,000. The trend holds true with all-electric brands such as Tesla, Rivian, and Lucid, and for many electric offerings from legacy automakers. The bigger battery option can add a four- or five-figure bump to an already accelerating sticker price.” As for the charging issue, the author details his anxiety driving a Telsa in Death Valley, with no charging stations in sight. “For those who never leave the comfort of the city, these concerns sound negligible," he says. "But so many of us want our cars to do everything, go everywhere, ferry us to the boundless life we imagine (or the one weÂ’re promised in car commercials),” he writes. His conclusions may raise some hackles among those of us who value automotive independence — not to mention fun — over practicalities.

Why Ford's Alan Mulally would be right for Microsoft, or any company

Thu, 03 Oct 2013

That Mulally was seriously being considered says a great deal about Microsoft and Mulally.
It appears that the chatter about Ford CEO Alan Mulally possibly leaving early to take over as CEO of Microsoft is losing air pretty fast. What's pretty interesting is that it got any traction in the first place.

Ford names Lincoln chief as North American president following Nair's departure

Thu, Feb 22 2018

Ford announced yesterday that its North American president Raj Nair would no longer be working for the company due to "inappropriate behavior." As a result, the company needed fill that gaping vacancy. The new North American president and Ford Group vice president will be Kumar Galhotra, and his term in the new role will start on March 1. Galhotra will remain the group vice president and chief marketing officer for Lincoln through March, meaning he's the head of the luxury brand. He's had this position since 2014. Before that, he was vice president of engineering for all of Ford. With Galhotra's promotion, a number of internal promotions follow. Joy Falotico, current chairman, CEO and group vice president of Ford's credit division will fill Galhotra's position, and Dave McClelland, vice president of marketing for Ford Asia Pacific, will fill her role. Other shuffling at Ford includes Stewart Rawley's promotion to vice president for Ford North America and chief operating officer. He is the current vice president for strategy at Ford. Ford China's chairman and CEO John Lawler will take Rawley's old role, and Cathy O'Callaghan will take over Lawler's job at Ford China, but not until June 1. O'Callaghan is currently vice president, corporate controller and chief financial officer for global markets at Ford. Related Video:
