Rushville, Indiana, United States
2013 FIAT 500 POP 1.4L MULTIAIR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION BODY MAN'S SPECIAL CLEAN AND CLEAR TITLE NO RESERVE ONLY 2,887 MILES PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE BIDDING We at CAMPBELL BROTHERS AUTO SALES INC. are offering for sale this 2013 FIAT 500 POP with a 1.4L MULTIAIR L4 S.F.I. DOHC 16V ENGINE and AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. We purchased this vehicle from a large leasing company. When this vehicle had ONLY 2,887 miles on it and was less than 2 months old it was involved in a collision resulting in damage to the front of the vehicle. The impact was primarily to the left front corner of the vehicle. The impact appears to have been high and above the frame/unibody rail. There is a slight bend to the top of the left bumper horn but for the most part the rail appears to be straight. We have not had a professional body shop look at this car however from what we can see the damages is to the following parts and areas....... bumper cover, grill, left head light, left fog light, bumper reinforcement, A/C condenser, radiator, core support, fan, air intake (cracked), exhaust heat shield (lightly dented), left fender, left inner fender, and hood. Basically everything from the fan forward could have damage. The drivers front and knee airbags did deploy along with the passengers front airbag, and as designed the front seat belts locked in position. NO other airbags deployed in the accident. As a result of the drivers knee airbag deploying the steering column housing (plastic) came apart making it difficult to turn the key to the start position. The car will start and run however you must manually turn the internal ignition. With all of this being said there is NO damage to any other panels on the vehicle. Even the right front fender has NO damage except for a scuff that we cause while transporting. The vehicle does start and drive however due to the radiator and fan being broken it can not be allowed to run long. With the exception of the damage caused by the collision this car still looks and even smells new. This vehicle will make for a good and somewhat easy fix, and with ONLY 2,887 miles on it is well worth the effort. This vehicle had an M.S.R.P. of over $16,000. Regardless of that we are selling this FIAT with NO RESEREVE and with a CLEAN and CLEAR TITLE!!!!!! If you have the body repair ability or a friend that does this could make you an inexpensive 2013 FIAT 500 POP or a NICE PROFIT! This vehicle has front end damage however all damage appears to be in the front end and no other panels are damaged. We do have the damaged bumper cover, headlights and fog lights. The left side lights housings are broken but the right side appear to be fine. As stated above this vehicle is being sold with front in collision damage. INTERIOR: With the exception of the airbag deployment the interior still looks and smells new. DRIVE TRAIN: The car must be started with the switch inside the steering column. However the car does start and drive. As stated above due to the radiator and fan being broken the vehicle must not be allowed to run long. The car comes with both key remotes. What a 28.5-liter LSR engine sounds like firing up for the first time in 100 years
Tue, Dec 2 2014Racecars seem to keep getting quieter these days, and if electric vehicles and fuel cells ever fully take over motorsports, then the bang, pop and growl of internal combustion engines may be gone for good. This clip of a Fiat S76 land speed record racer awaking after over a century of being dormant shows just what we would miss so much. The four-cylinder engine in this Fiat displaces about 28.5 liters, making it among the largest automotive engines ever, and it gives each cylinder around as much capacity as the whole mill in a Chevrolet Camaro Z/28. Once this thing starts firing with no exhaust in place, the look and sound is like a demon at work with a rain of fire and sparks. This clip is just the trailer for a documentary called the Beast of Turin chronicling the history of this period of racing. The movie also focuses on the rebuild and restoration of the S76 after over 100 years. If the rest of the film lives up to this tease, then it looks like something to watch for.
Marchionne now considering 'Plan B' partners for FCA merger
Thu, Jun 11 2015Okay Sergio, just stop. With the sting of rejection from General Motors CEO Mary Barra still fresh, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles CEO Sergio Marchionne is moving on and trying to find another automaker to merge with. FCA may not be giving up hope on a merger with GM, but that doesn't mean it isn't at least considering alternatives. Sergio's so-called "Plan Bs" include the Volkswagen Group, as well as smaller Asian outfits, like Mazda, Honda, Suzuki, and Hyundai. Bloomberg reports that France's beleaguered PSA Peugeot Citroen could as a sort of "fallback" option due to its relative lack of volume, an unidentified source claimed. There are, of course, problems with each option. According to Bloomberg, Volkswagen expects complete control of a company, but the Agnelli family, which holds a large portion of FCA stock, is loathe to relinquish its stake in the company. On top of that, VAG just isn't looking to make a deal right now. Mazda, meanwhile, is enjoying a new partnership with Toyota and Suzuki is partially owned by VW. Honda and Hyundai have never expressed any interest in a partnership with a western automaker. That kind of just leaves the French then, but even that remains a long shot. As Bloomberg tells it, PSA boss Carlos Tavares is still working on a turn-around plan, and would want at least another six months to execute before even considering a deal with FCA. And even then, Tavares hasn't given any indication that he's considering a pairing. Fiat recalling 2014 500L over dual-clutch transmission
Tue, Mar 11 2014Much like it did yesterday, Fiat Chrysler Automotive is announcing a voluntary recall of the five-door Fiat 500L. Where yesterday's recall covered Jeep and Dodge SUVs over performance issues with the brakes, today's bulletin is perhaps more serious. Over 19,000 500Ls equipped with the Fiat-sourced, six-speed, dual-clutch automatic are being called in for a software update that should sort out the issues some customers are experiencing with the gearbox. Those troubles mainly consist of 500Ls that won't shift out of park and don't respond or are slow to respond to commands for gear changes. There have been no reported injuries or accidents due to the problems, which investigating engineers believe is caused by a microcontroller component that doesn't react well with temperature extremes. Of the 19,500 vehicles being recalled, around 20 percent are in dealership inventories. The vast majority of the cars (18,100) are in the US, while the remaining 1,400 are up north, in Canada. Fiat will be covering the costs of the software reflash and will begin notifying customers soon. Scroll down for the official release from Fiat Chrysler. Statement: Software Update March 7, 2014 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - Chrysler Group is recalling approximately 19,500 cars to upgrade their transmission software. Chrysler Group engineers launched an investigation after reviewing reports that some vehicles equipped with dual dry clutch automatic transmissions would not shift readily out of park and/or their transmissions did not receive, or were slow to receive, an intended gear selection. Chrysler Group is unaware of any related injuries or accidents. The investigation discovered the function of one microcontroller component may be compromised by certain temperature extremes. A software update resolves the issue. Affected are certain 2014 Fiat 500L models, of which approximately 20 percent are in dealer hands. Repair costs will be borne by the Company. Affected customers – approximately 18,100 in the U.S. and 1,400 in Canada – will be contacted and advised when to schedule service. Of the total, an estimated 200 vehicles may require shift-module replacement to ensure hardware-software compatibility. Customers who remain concerned may call 1-800-853-1403.
