Up for sale is a 1992 Ferrari 512TR/M in Rossa Corsa exterior and tan interior. It is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. It has been regularly serviced by the LA Auto Gallery, an authorized Ferrari dealership. All service records are available.

The following 512M components were installed in the car by the LA Auto Gallery from Nov 2011, all items were BRAND NEW when purchased:

• 512M engine.
• 512M front bumper and fog lights.
• 512M rear bumper, tail lights and lower valence.
• 512M wheels.
• 512M brake rotors and calipers.
• 512M dashboard and steering wheel.

Prior to the installation of the 512M components, the car, in its stock, original form, was granted Ferrari Certification. The certification cost $6,500 and was documented in a hard cover book.

At the time of documentation, the car had approximately 39,000 miles. The 512M engine has approximately 3,000 miles to date. The clutch was replaced in the Summer of 2011 just before the 512M engine was installed. Fluids (oil, transmission, brake and coolant) were changed at least on an annual basis since the original purchase of the car.

The car is complete with all factory books/manuals, tool kit, battery charger and car cover, as well as, a clean, non-salvage title.

It will be sold with a complete, five-piece Ferrari 512TR luggage set in either black or tan (buyer’s choice) and the aforementioned Ferrari Certification book.

The car is offered as configured with the 512M components. The stock 512TR components (engine, wheels, front & rear bumper and tail lights) are available for an additional fee.

Race Recap: 2013 Korean F1 Grand Prix crazy enough for Psy [spoilers]

Mon, 07 Oct 2013

The end of qualifying for the 2013 Korean Formula One Grand Prix left us with five pairs: two chassis each from Infiniti Red Bull Racing, Mercedes-AMG Petronas, Lotus, Ferrari and Sauber. Yes, Sauber. The last time the Swiss team had two drivers in the top ten was Japan last year, when Kamui Kobayashi converted the grid spot into a podium.
But let's start at the front of the top ten, where Sebastian Vettel put his Red Bull on pole for the 42nd time in his career. He was followed by Lewis Hamilton in second place by two-tenths of a second, Mark Webber in the second Infiniti Red Bull, and Romain Grosjean in the Lotus in fourth. Out-qualifying teammate Kimi Räikkönen again, the Finn would line up in tenth. Nico Rosberg put the second Mercedes in fifth, Fernando Alonso got the first Ferrari into sixth ahead of teammate Felipe Massa, while Nico Hülkenberg led with the first Sauber in eighth, teammate Esteban Gutiérrez showing the promise he was hired for (okay, and his money) in ninth. Except they'd all move up a place because Webber had to serve his ten-place grid penalty after getting his third reprimand of the season in Singapore. That would get Sergio Perez in his McLaren into tenth. Yes, McLaren needed a grid demotion ahead to make it into the top ten.
It was an entertaining top ten that no one would have expected. When the red lights went out, we were treated to one of the most entertaining races of the year - it was Gangnam Style at 300 kilometers per hour.

Meet the man whose house is designed around his car

Tue, 21 May 2013

It's been a couple of years since we last heard about Holger Schubert and his award-winning office/garage, but it looks like the city of Los Angeles, thankfully, did not force him to tear down the bridge that gives his Ferrari 512 BBi arguably the nicest parking spot in California. Petrolicious is back again with another well-done video, which finally introduces us to Schubert as well as his lust-worthy Ferrari.
As for the structure, it is half garage and half work space with an office, couch, bookshelf and television, and one hell of a view. There is a ramp that raises to allow the Ferrari to roll backward out of the garage before starting up on the aforementioned bridge that sits 16-feet above the ground. The car itself is an equally admirable piece of art, with a wedge-like shape and its reserved dark gray hue. If you're not the jealous type, scroll down to meet Schubert and his incredible Ferrari.

Ferrari chairman ticked off by Alonso

Wed, 31 Jul 2013

Luca Cordero di Montezemolo does not strike us as the kind of person we'd want to cross. We imagine the Chairman of Ferrari as sort of like an automotive Don Corleone, a thought that is further confirmed when we hear about the aftermath of last weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix.
Fernando Alonso made some unsubstantiated remarks that have angered his team, with The Daily Mail reporting that when asked after the race what he wanted for his birthday, the Spaniard responded "Someone else's car." And while no one seems to know exactly what was said, it was enough to prompt a personal phone call from the boss of Ferrari on Alonso's birthday for a dressing down.
Montezemolo reminded Alonso that, "All the great champions who have driven for Ferrari have always been asked to put the interests of the team above their own. This is the moment to stay calm, avoid polemics and show humility and determination in making one's own contribution, standing alongside the team and its people both at the track and outside it."
