You may find a very very small stone chip, or scratch (tiny if any) somewhere on the car, but like I said, it's in excellent condition.Paint I would rate at 90%. I mean it looks great, and nobody has ever said anything to the contrary about it, but if you look really really closely, I found one run in the paint, and one imperfection down by the bottom of the door (it probably contacted something like a high curb lightly when the door was opening, as there are no dents). There are no tears in the original leather seats, everything seems to work perfectly, from the electronically adjustable mirrors, to the fog lights, driving lights, high beams, windshield wipers, etc... The only possible problem could be considered the AC, which blows strong, but could use a re-charge (to get it colder)."

Bonus with BUY IT NOW!!!

BUY IT NOW and receive for no additional charge, the 4 original wheels, with like new tires, and 2 extra, very comfortable racing bucket seats that make it easier for people over 6'2 to sit in and drive the car. (I'm 6'1'' and perfectly comfortable with an extra 1.5''s of headroom so I never swapped the seats to the racing buckets which were custom made for the previous owner, out of the best materials).

Moving right along...

This is a beautiful Testarossa in excellent condition that's been serviced properly and driven frequently over the past year with no problems at all.

If you're looking at this car, I don't think I need to go into detail about the specs, power, etc... you should know just how amazing the Testarossa is already, and PLEASE, SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY.

Extra features include:
  • Tubi Exhaust
  • OZ Racing wheels (with Pirelli P-Zero tires with TONS of tread left!)
  • Real Carbon Fiber accents throughout interior
  • Premier Audio complete sound system (CD player, Amp, speakers, tweeters, etc...)
  • Manuals (service, diagnostic, etc... all included)

Title is clear, and in my hands, ready to go.

This cars story:

I bought it with about 24,000 miles in the fall of 2012 from the inventor of LineX spray in bed liners and picked it up from his warehouse outside Atlanta. He is a very wealthy man who has his own Lemans 24 hour race team, service/mechanic crew, race cars (Ferrari's and Porsche's), along with an excellent collection of other automobiles, from Hemi Road Runners, to Lancia Rally cars and more.

The car was fully serviced (major engine out service) by his mechanics for me before I picked it up, and at about 26,000 miles I had it inspected at my local Ferrari mechanic at World Class Auto, who checked everything over, verified the previous service (in case the pictures I have of the car with the engine removed weren't proof enough), and performed a tune up for me, with an oil change, plugs, fuel mapping upgrades, etc...

The ride:

In a word, AMAZING. This car blew my 328GTS away in all aspects, with awesome acceleration, handling, braking, comfort, visibility, and you could argue style as well!

How does she stack up against today's Ferrari's?
Well we brought her to our South Carolina Ferrari Club of America meeting, competed in the Rally to Highlands, and took a VERY respectable third place out of a dozen competitors, beating out guys who were driving: 458 Italia, F430, 360, 328GTS, and more. So don't think that this 24 year old collectible car is just for show, she can hang with the absolute best of them, her 12 cylinder engine provides massive amounts of torque down low, she has the racing exhaust to boost output to nearly 420HP, and the only limiting factor is usually the size of your cojones.

Attention:

Be ready for it. I'm a single 26 year old, and those prius driving losers who go downtown and take a puppy with them to pick up chicks are always left cleaning poop off the sidewalk as I drive off with the girls of their dreams.

That Asian chick in a couple of the photos modeled for Hollister, now as you can see, she models for me free of charge ;)

No joke, the first time I took this car downtown I came home about 5 minutes later with two girls sitting on top of each other in the passenger seat. Road tripping? I've cruised to Charlotte, into the mountains, and down to the ocean in this car, it's comfortable, and gets almost 20mpg when cruising at low rpm in top gear on the highway (say 90-95 mph-ish, most other times, expect roughly 15-17mpg, if you keep track of silly things like that), and your basically the star of the road the entire drive.

People can't help but stare and smile, thumbs up seem to come at you from all angles, and hotel valets just let you park right in front.

Reason for selling:

I'm moving myself, my best friend/employee, and my largest company back to Las Vegas NV before the end of the year, and I've just got way too many toys. Moving them all would be a huge pain in the butt, and I just don't have the time, or space at the moment.

I'm also selling several of my Ducati motorcycles, and I just sold my other Ferrari, a 328GTS with a 288GTO conversion kit to an existing Ferrari owner who was quite happy with the car he received from me (you've got nothing to worry about).

Condition:

Car is used, but in excellent condition, serviced properly and an excellent driver. You may find a very very small stone chip, or scratch (tiny if any) somewhere on the car, but like I said, it's in excellent condition.

Paint I would rate at 90%. I mean it looks great, and nobody has ever said anything to the contrary about it, but if you look really really closely, I found one run in the paint, and one imperfection down by the bottom of the door (it probably contacted something like a high curb lightly when the door was opening, as there are no dents).

There are no tears in the original leather seats, the original Ferrari floormats look like as though they are brand new, and everything seems to work perfectly, from the electronically adjustable mirrors, to the fog lights, driving lights, high beams, windshield wipers, parking brake, etc... The only possible problem could be considered the AC, which blows strong, but could use a re-charge (to get it colder).

Shipping, is obviously the buyers responsibility, but it's less expensive than you may have thought, feel free to check Montway auto shippers (they usually have the best rates and times - only cost $750 to ship my last Ferrari to Boston, and it was picked up 1 day after I called to schedule, and delivered 2 days after pick up!).

However, this car is GREAT!!!   You can simply fly into GSP (greenville spartanburg airport), I'll pick you up you can drive her home to any part of this country problem free. Enjoy the road trip on the way home, it will be fun.

2016 Ferrari 488 GTB First Drive

Fri, Jun 5 2015

After The Last Supper, Leonardo Da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa, after recording their first album, Iggy and the Stooges released the brilliant Fun House. Not every second creative attempt has to bomb like The Strokes' second, Room On Fire, and not every new car model has to be heavier and uglier like the Mustang II. Or at least that was the hope as I arrived in Italy for the launch of the 2016 Ferrari 488 GTB (Gran Turismo Berlinetta, if you're wondering). The new car traces its lineage back through 40 years of mid-engined V8 supercars, one that started with the 1975 308 GTB that replaced the V6 Dino series. But the 488 is also the follow-up to the 458 Italia, which is generally considered to be the zenith of all things Ferrari. With sublime handling and a yowling V8 that made you question how fast you could really travel on public roads, the Italia was an Italian missile wrapped in voluptuous aluminum. When the 488 GTB debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March, the portents weren't good. As well as having fewer curves and a turbo engine, trouble was brewing inside the stronghold. Last fall, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) chairmain Sergio Marchionne sacked Ferrari president Luca de Montezemolo. And Marchionne's plan to sell 10 percent of Ferrari on the stock market raises fears of hedge fund guys calling the shots at this archetypal Italian sports car maker. What's more, there's already talk of increasing annual production from the current cap of 7,000 units to 10,000. But back to the 488 GTB. The new car is based on the same aluminum underbody as the 458, but with less dramatic looks. The source of those looks is not the design department, however. "We gave them [the design department] the shape...they started with that shape." explained Matteo Biancalana, Ferrari's aerodynamics chief. So wind tunnel data penned the GTB's lines, mainly because of an ambitious target to achieve 50 percent more downforce than the outgoing model with no increase in aerodynamic drag. "We had to touch every millimetre of the car apart from the carried-over roof," says Biancalana. The front grille channels air through the radiators, cools the brakes and denies air access to the underbody, which consequently develops low pressure areas that suck the car to the road. There's a moveable spoiler under the body at the rear to reduce drag at high speed in a straight line.

Formula One speeds towards radical thousand-horsepower shakeup

Wed, Feb 11 2015

The teams, the drivers, the fans, the circuits... few, if any, were satisfied with how Formula One has shaped up since the current regulations took hold last year. But that doesn't mean they aren't working on it. At a recent meeting of the F1 Strategy Group, the leading parties in the sport outlined a new framework that would radically shake up the cars themselves while keeping costs in check. And the biggest change could see the engines producing around 1,000 horsepower. Although a proposal put forth by Ferrari to ditch the current V6 hybrid engines in favor of new twin-turbocharged units was rejected by Honda and Mercedes, the members of the group approved in principal to increase the fuel flow in the existing engines to dramatically boost output. As it stands, the current 1.6-liter turbocharged V6 engines develop around 600 horsepower, with an additional 160 or so kicked in by the electric Energy Recovery System, for a combined output of about 760 hp. What's not clear at the moment is whether the increased fuel flow would necessitate either the return of mid-race refueling (currently banned) or the installation of larger fuel tanks. Red Bull and McLaren also submitted proposals to radically redesign the shape of the cars as well, however a more evolutionary approach was adopted instead. Though far from finalized, the new design would keep the same basic form of the current chassis, but with adjustments to make them more aesthetically pleasing while producing more downforce. Wider tires are also said to be part of the mix. With more power and more grip from the tires and aero, the resulting cars would most certainly end up going much faster than the current ones, which are already starting to nudge the lap records at some of the circuits, many of which were set during the V10 era. The F1 Strategy Group is made up of representatives of the FIA, Formula One Management and six leading teams. The next step will be for the teams' technical directors to iron out how to implement what their bosses have agreed to. If they settle the details fast enough, the revised regulations could be pushed through in time for next season. Ferrari 458 Speciale already sold out for first year

Mon, 09 Dec 2013

Ferrari tends to sell its models out extremely quickly - its wait lists are the stuff of legend. That's especially true when the cars in question are of the fastest or most exclusive variety. If new reports are to be believed, Maranello has already sold the entire 499-unit production run of its new LaFerrari hypercar, and now Australia's Motoring is claiming that Ferrari has also filled its order book for the entire first year's production run of its new 458 Speciale.
For those unfamiliar, the 458 Speciale follows in a proud line of hardcore mid-engined V8 Ferraris in the footsteps of the 360 Challenge Stradale and 430 Scuderia. It's lighter, more powerful and more aerodynamically advanced than the 458 Italia upon which it's based, and just trails half a second behind the more powerful F12 Berlinetta (and the aforementioned LaFerrari) as the third-quickest road car ever to lap the Italian automaker's Fiorano test track. That means it's quicker even than the 599 GTO and Enzo.
Although we've yet to receive official word, we're expecting a sticker price approaching $300,000 - about a quarter more than the 458 Italia. But that doesn't appear to have stopped Ferrari from raking in the orders. Check it out in our substantially updated image gallery above.
