1989 Ferrari Testarossa With Just 1707 Miles on 2040-cars
Hellertown, Pennsylvania, United States
You are viewing a very well maintained, well documented, three owner 1989 Ferrari Testarossa with just 1,707 genuine original miles in a very desirable red over black color combination. A comprehensive 30K engine out service was completed in September, 2011 at 1,475 miles. The engine and entire engine bay were profesionally detailed at that time while the engine was out of the car. A thorough minor service including a new battery, all fluids, brake hoses, thermocoupler ECUs as well as the seat belt recall was completed in November of 2013. The car starts and runs without fault. The car is complete with all books, tools, and service records as well as the original key fob. The as new factory original wheels still mounted with the 1989 original Goodyear tires, as shown in the last photo, were removed for protection and proper storage off the car and replaced with a set of refinished factory 512 TR rims. These 512 TR wheels have new OEM valve stems and center caps and are mounted with brand new Goodyear tires for the mild road use the car has seen under my ownership. Of course, the original wheels and tires go with the car as well as a brand new car cover and three sets of floor mats (original and two after market). The all original Ferrari factory panel gaps and shut lines on the body are some of the best I have seen on a vintage Ferrari. The paint work is original and there has been no dye work to the interior. This is a true survivor, genuine 1,707 mile 1989 TR in a very well maintained and immaculate state of preservation. Thank you. |

EV West launches monthly EV Show, starts with electric Ferrari project
Fri, Dec 12 2014The folks over at the EV West conversion shop are no strangers to video cameras, having put up a fair amount of footage on their YouTube channel over the years. Now though, they've decided to make their appearance on the web a more regular affair with the debut of the monthly EV Show. It aims, they say, to bring viewers the latest news in the electric vehicle industry, product information and a look at some of the projects they're working on. The outfit has had a hand in building and converting some notable vehicles in the past, but to kick off the new program, it's engaged in something special: the (re)making of an electric 1978 308 GTS Ferrari – a model made famous by its role in the Magnum P.I. television series. This particular vehicle had fallen victim to a fuel fire, though enough of the original non-necessary bits were in good enough condition to be sold off to help pay for part of the electro-restomod. After stripping the entire vehicle down, the build up will begin, and the components planned to bring this baby back to life are very interesting in their own right. For instance, the battery. Though the show hosts cagily don't mention the source of the pack, it's pretty clear it will be made of modules originally housed in a vehicle sporting a Tesla drivetrain (we suspect the 2nd-generation Smart ED.) The power will flow from these mystery batteries through a Rinehart controller and then on to a trio of chrome-plated, powder coated AC-51 motors from Hi Performance Electric Vehicle Systems housed in a custom bracket. The resulting configuration should be good for about 216 kW (290 horsepower) and 340 pound-feet of torque. You can keep up with this project and the many others the conversion shop has on the go by following them on Twitter and Facebook. The Ferrari project also has its own Instagram account. But first, check out the first episode of the EV Show by scrolling below. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Ferrari makes its return to Need For Speed: Rivals in a big way
Thu, 14 Nov 2013With all the excitement over Forza Motorsport 5 and Gran Turismo 6, it's easy to forget that there's another racing game from an even older franchise coming out. The latest Need For Speed installment, Rivals, is set to hit stores November 15 (this Friday) for the Playstation 4, November 19 for PS3 and XBox 360, and November 22 for the XBox One. As part of the run up to the launch, we have a great look at all the new Ferrari content for the new title, which marks only the second time the Italian marque has been in an NFS game.
The last time we saw a prancing horse in Need For Speed was 2009's Shift, when we got ten models as part of a paid, downloadable pack. In anticipation of Ferrari's return to the series, we've got a gallery of images of some of the featured models, like the F12 Berlinetta (which we've shown you before), the FF, the Enzo, the 599 GTO and both the 458 Italia and Spider. All of which are bound to make for phenomenal tools for escaping the virtual cops.
We'll have a more extensive look at Need For Speed: Rivals in the near future, but until then, have a look at the game's Ferrari content up top.
Dubai police add Ferrari FF to keep Lambo company
Thu, 18 Apr 2013Supercars are a sulky lot by nature. Leave them to their own devices and they'll quickly grow despondent. That's why so many owners have more than one exotic in the stable. The Dubai Police seem to have caught on to that fact, having just added a Ferrari FF to help keep the force's new Lamborghini Aventador company. The duo will patrol the city's more affluent regions to promote the area's image as a mecca for money.
Mission: accomplished.
Of course, the Dubai PD certainly isn't the first law enforcement agency to adopt flashy cruisers, and car gods willing, it won't be the last. There was the Nissan GT-R gussied up for police duty, as well as the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 and the Mitsubishi Evo X, but we have to say the DPD certainly has the most lust-worthy stable at the moment.
