Fast and Furious 7 has resumed filming, and here's proof

It seems that Fast and Furious 7 is finally back in production. The UAE-based Speeed spotted crews from the movie filming in Abu Dhabi with help from the local police. According to Speeed, the production worked with the constabulary to shut down several roads in the metropolis and simulate a police chase with a Ferrari 458. This is the first real evidence that Fast and Furious 7 is still being made. After production of the flick was suspended in the wake of Paul Walker's death, the future of the film was put in doubt. Then it was announced that the film was being rewritten, and Vin Diesel said that the release date had been pushed back to April 10, 2015. Walker is rumored to still appear in the movie because several of his scenes were completed prior to his passing. Ferrari launches upgraded 458 Challenge Evoluzione

Want to drive an eight-cylinder, mid-engined Ferrari? Assuming you can get your lucky little hands on one, you can drive a 458 Italia, 458 Spider or new 458 Speciale on the street. But the real action is where the road ends and the racetrack begins. Ferrari's Corse Clienti division offers versions for GT2 and GT3 racing, for Grand-Am (likely to be revised for the new United SportsCar Championship), and, of course, for its own Challenge racing series.
It's the latter version that Ferrari revealed it was upgrading last week, and now it's made its debut at the tail end of the rain-soaked Finali Mondiali event at Mugello. Although Ferrari only released limited details and just the one new photo, the new 458 Challenge Evoluzione upgrades on its predecessor as promised with obvious aerodynamic enhancements.
Those upgrades are "aimed at making the car even more driveable" for the customer racers who take part in the series, and seem to bridge the gap (at least visually) between the previous 458 Challenge and the more extreme racing versions that have to contend with more competition than its own kind. The upgrades are being rolled out as a kit that will be obligatory in the various Challenge series that will kick off around the world next year.

LaFerrari testing with turbo V6 F1 engine?

If Ford went and tested a NASCAR engine in a production Ford Fusion, it'd just be silly. Ferrari testing its new 1.6-liter, turbocharged V6 Formula One engine in a LaFerrari hypercar is not silly - it's excellent.
Now, we can't be certain if the video shown above is actually Ferrari's new F1 powerplant. Based on the big roof-mounted intake, the weird sounds coming from the camo'd LaFerrari and the teasers we've been hearing from other F1 engine providers, the race engine is a tantalizing idea.
The other possibility, perpetuated by our friends over at Road & Track, is that Ferrari is using the LaFerrari to test a next-generation powerplant. That looks good on paper, but this car strikes as being far too loud for any road legal engine. What do you think? What's Ferrari up to at Fiorano?
