1982 Ferrari 308 Mondial 8 26,999.00 1982 Ferrari 308 Mondial 8 Rare, 703 models built. Replaced 308 GT4 at the Geneva Salon in 1980. Coupe, 2+2 configuration. V8, 8 cylinders 205 bhp 6000 rpm. The Mondial was the first fuel injected Ferrari instead of carbs (Bosch, K-Jetronic) The Mondial was the work of Pininfarina with its lines & curves. This particular model was designed as a daily executive driver. The engine has been rebuilt. Must be inspected to truly know & appreciate the extensive work that has been performed. Willing to allow purchaser to have car inspected at their cost. I must be present at inspection. Main expense purchasing a used Ferrari is the engine. There is a custom exhaust which sounds amazing. Rebuilt fuse box, brakes, 17’ Speedlines, with Michelin Pilot tires. Classic red on leather tan interior. No tears in seats. However tear in leather dash above instrument gauges. Pwr sunroof, windows, mirrors, locks, antenna, ac, & rack & pinion steering. Pwr windows a little slow. Locks & antenna not working. Paint is still in considerable good condition with deep shine. However, there are some dent & bubbles beginning to form. This Ferrari is a true classic at 32 years young. Purchaser is responsible for all shipping & transportation costs. This Ferrari belonged to a family member. This project and mechanical restoration began in Aug. 2005 when purchased from Atlanta Georgia. The current selling price does not compare with amount invested. I am slowly trying gather invoices and receipts pertaining to car. As mentioned in add, will allow purchaser to have car inspected to know extensive work performed. The car is in good running condition with fantastic sound. Ferrari 458 Speciale A is most powerful Prancing Horse convertible ever
Thu, 25 Sep 2014Let all of the speculation finally end because the convertible version of the Ferrari 458 Speciale is here. However, the Prancing Horse isn't calling it a spider; instead it's dubbed the 458 Speciale A, which stands for Aperta or "open" in English. It's also limited to a scant 499 cars, a few more than the 458 first rumored.
Regardless of its name or production numbers, what really matters is Ferrari's claim that this is its the most powerful droptop production model ever. That is thanks to the same 4.5-liter V8 from the hardtop Speciale, with 597 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque.
The aluminum-retracting top doesn't change performance much, while letting the wind blow through the owner's hair at ludicrous speeds. Ferrari claims the setup adds about 110 pounds (50 kilograms) to the overall weight and can open or close within 14 seconds. Acceleration to 62 miles per hour is reported at 3.0 seconds, about a tenth slower than the coupe, and the Aperta can hustle to 124 mph in 9.5 seconds.
Two weeks and 2,000 miles in Ferrari's FF with Evo
Mon, 28 Jan 2013EVO's Harry Metcalfe had some questions about the day-to-day livability of the Ferrari FF. When he brought those questions up to Ferrari, they suggested he take one for a couple of weeks and try it out for, as he calls them, "mundane duties." The image above is Metcalfe pointing to the 660-horsepower, all-wheel drive FF parked in one of his fields because, since he lives on a farm, mucking about the green is part of his daily routine. "It could use more ground clearance," he says, "but that's an option on this car."
He does get it on the "tarmac" and he likes it even more there than in the mud. Except for the buttons on the steering wheel; he thinks learning to use them is like learning to play guitar. I'm senior editor Greg Migliore and this is your Autoblog Minute Weekly Recap. FCA reached a tentative labor agreement with UAW leadership. The major focus of the new deal reportedly includes: the eventual elimination of the two-tier pay scale [00:00:30] and pooling worker health care. Now that a leadership agreement is in place, the deal will be sent to FCA's rank-and-file. FCA has about 36,000 hourly employees. We got a first look at the interior and exterior of the 10th-generation Civic. Honda expects the new sedan to dominate the C-segment when it hits dealerships later this fall. Civic coupe, five-door hatchback, Si and Type R will all come later. The 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show is in the books and there was a lot of news to get excited about. [00:01:00] Porsche introduced a fully electric concept car in the Mission E. If they make this car, Porsche could give Tesla nightmares. We also saw SUVs from Jaguar and Bentley.
