1990 - Ferrari Mondial on 2040-cars
Corona, California, United States
See above description.Have all books/records and receipts since day one..Has dealer installed after market 2-piece wider wheels, and really helps with the stance. Also has after-market stereo/amplifier,but is disconnected.Built into front trunk is a trickle charger outlet, and jumper cables installed if necessary.Top looks to be original, and is in good condition..Has tonneau cover in rear trunk, but is far too much work to fit!!!.Has just had a $3500 service to make road worthy, with the necessary items replaced. The past second owner is a business partner of ours, and sold off some of his collection to us.The Ferrari just doesn't fit,and its time to go.I think the car is a solid 7+ on a 10 scale, considering its 24 years old.Looks/runs/performs as it should ,,Paint is bright and shiny, with a few imperfections...Clean Ca. title. One of only 1010 Mondial T cabs produced in 4 years of production.First year of power assist steering, and God knows they need it!!!.Priced fairly{we think} for a family Ferrari. Please don't hesitate to email for any other un-answered questions.Also....The power windows all work.Rear 2 are a little slow, and they ALWAYS are.Mostly from lack of use.A/C works, but needs a R/134 re-charge.Also from being stored for years.A new alternator installed ..Best of luck to all!....

'Ferrari' is an oft-banned search term in China, but why?
Sat, 22 Feb 2014The Internet has been a boon for car enthusiasts; after all, information about any car ever made is available at a few taps of the keyboard, whenever you'd like. Unfortunately, some Chinese motor heads are not quite as lucky because state censors have been intermittently banning searches for Ferrari on the country's micro-blogging sites, according to Time.
The problem has nothing to do with Maranello's supercars; it's what they represent. The Prancing Horse has become the symbol for so-called "princelings," wealthy young Chinese who use their parents' privileges in the Communist elite to afford luxuries.
The first bout of censorship came in 2011 when the son of then-high-ranking politician Bo Xilai was spotted cruising around Beijing in a red Ferrari, a vehicle much more expensive than he should have been able to afford. It started trending on Chinese social media, and censors began blocking searches for Ferrari in the car's red color. The Italian brand was censored again briefly in 2012 when a Chinese investor crashed his Prancing Horse into two other cars in Singapore.
Ferrari exec to lead Jaguar North America
Tue, 06 Aug 2013Jaguar has announced that Jeff Curry will be serving as the brand's new North American vice president, effective August 13. The move is a coup for Jag, which lured Curry away from his previous posting as VP of marketing for Ferrari North America, and is further evidence of just how strong Jaguar's comeback has gotten.
Curry has spent over 20 years in the auto industry, and has worked with Audi, SiriusXM and Land Rover, where he made his start in the industry. His primary responsibilities with Jaguar will cover marketing communications, customer relationship management, and product planning.
Jaguar Land Rover's North American president, Andy Goss, heaped praise on the brand's newest addition saying, "Jeff brings with him extensive automotive and luxury marketing experience, critical expertise in leading-edge technologies and a personal passion for automobiles."
Ferrari 250 GTO could fetch as much as $75 million at auction
Wed, 13 Aug 2014Last month we reported on a Ferrari 250 GTO heading for the auction block at Pebble Beach. We knew at the time it would break records and bring in tens of millions of dollars. But now that the gavel is about to drop, it looks like even our projections could fall short.
According to a report on Bloomberg, citing the classic car authorities at Hagerty Insurance, the GTO in question (pictured above) could fetch upwards of $60 million and as much as $75 million when the auction takes place two days from now in Monterey, CA.
Hagerty's reported estimate would not only blow the previous records out of the water, but would eclipse the pre-sale estimate attributed to Bonhams, the auction house handling its sale, which placed its value between $30 million and $40 million.
