2010 Ferrari California Just listed for your bidding pleasure is this absolutely perfect 2010 Ferrari California. In addition to the standard features this Ferrari comes with the 458 wheel package. Beautiful Nuovo Grigio Ingrid Metalic (Charcoal) exterior has been meticuously maintained. With only 12,734 miles, this California is in like new condition. Serious inquiries only please and good luck. 2010 Ferrari California Overview The Ferrari California is an all-new convertible grand tourer with a retractable hard-top. It represents several firsts for Ferrari: first front engined Ferrari with a V8, first to feature a 7-speed dual clutch transmission, first with a folding metal roof, first with multi-link rear suspension, and the first with direct injection. This Italian exotic is available as a 4-seat convertible with a power folding hard top. The standard 453-horsepower 4.3-liter V8 engine sends power through 7-speed dual clutch transmission with F1-style steering column-mounted shift paddles that allow for extremely quick gear changes. Brembo brakes featuring carbon-ceramic material discs are standard. Optional magnetic fluid-filled shock absorbers react instantly to road conditions and driver inputs. A switch on the steering wheel, called a manettino, integrates suspension, traction control, stability control and shifter systems and allows the driver to choose the optimum setting for current conditions. The standard CD/MP3/DVD stereo features a 30-gigabyte hard drive, navigaton system, and Bluetooth wireless connectivity. Options include carbon fiber interior trim, reverse camera, and front and rear parking sensors. The Ferrari California is all-new for 2010. PERFORMANCE: *4.3 Liter V8 *453 Horsepower *7750 Horsepower RPM *357 lb-ft Torque *5000 Torque RPM INTERIOR: *54" Front Shoulder Room *12.00 Cubic Feet Luggage Storage *Standard Seating for 4 FUEL: *20.6 Gallon Fuel Tank *13 MPG City/19 MPG Hwy Motor Trend Magazine Says: filled with firsts for Ferrari: the first front-engine V-8, the first use of direct injection, the first seven-speed transmission, the first true launch-control system, the first retractable hardtop, and the first stacked exhaust. But fear not, all these firsts have not changed the purity of Ferrari; they've just expanded its range. There have been front-engine sixes and 12s, but this is the first front-engine eight and with it Ferrari has managed to make the entry-level California a true supercar in every sense of the word. The direct injection helps improve mileage and decrease emissions but because the California is heavier than the F430 it shares its engine architecture with, the tuning is optimized to boost torque by 14 lb-ft at the expense of 29 horsepower, for a total of 454 hp and 357 lb-ft.The Getrag dual-clutch seven-speed automated manual gearbox is nothing short of absolute perfection, worlds better than the old single-clutch F1 automated manual found in most current Ferraris. The speed in which shifts are made has always been a bragging point for the Italians, and the nanoseconds have slowly diminished over the years to the point where they are now basically immeasurable. In addition, the neck-snapping caused by the old F1 gearbox is gone. All you're left with is a constant acceleration accompanied by a sweet-sounding bark between shifts.Other Ferraris have had "launch-control" systems, but those were nothing more than a way to quickly smoke away a few hundred dollars' worth of tire. The California has a true launch-control system. So how does it work? Turn the CST traction control off, foot on brake, launch button pressed, wait for the beep, and then mat the gas. When the revs hit around 3000 rpm, lift off the brake. All you need do now is just hang on and keep the car pointed straight. The California's new transmission, set up in launch mode, auto upshifts for you until you run out of gears. So what does she run? We got 3.5 seconds to 60, while the quarter mile ticked away in 11.9 seconds at 117.4 mph. That's damned impressive for a car weighing 3916 pounds with only 454 horsepower.

The next stop on the Petrolicious tour of the nation's car stories is Savannah, Georgia. The crew sat down with restorer Andy Greene of Andy Greene's Sports and Vintage Race Cars, and he waxed poetic about his love of Ferraris. See, the shop will work on vintage models and classic road racing cars from other brands, but when it comes to Ferrari, any model from any year can find a place in Greene's garage. And we'll admit that the yellow Ferrari 250 SWB helps make Greene's case. You can see for yourself what he's talking about in the video below.

Although we're still not really sure what Ferrari plans to call its long-awaited successor to the Enzo, we're certain that this is going to be one mean car. We've heard that it will be called the F150, F150 Italia and even the F70 over the last year and a half. Regardless of its name, this guppy-faced prototype you see above is Ferrari's answer to the McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder with a rumored 900-horsepower hybrid powertrain. Since the last time we saw this car testing, the only difference appears to be that the exhaust outlets now may be closer to production form, with dual pipes on each side sitting up higher in the fascia. Aside from that, these shots are much clearer and at a better angle allowing us to get an idea of what the final product might look like. We do see some of this car's details such as the headlight placement and shape similar to the 458 Italia and the massive brakes with drilled carbon ceramic rotors. No word as to when we might see the production version of the car, but Ferrari did tease a couple photos of it last month and is much further along than spy shots we saw less than a year ago.

As expected, Ferrari has today officially pulled the covers off the latest version of its front-engined California grand tourer ahead of the car's impending live debut at the Geneva Motor Show. The headline news, again as expected, is a new 3.9-liter turbocharged V8 engine. Ferrari promises zero turbo lag from its innovative new engine, which is rated at 560 horsepower and 557 pound-feet of torque. That's 70 more horses than the last California, which, coupled with its 49-percent increase in torque, allows the new California T to accelerate from 0-62 miles per hour in 3.6 seconds. Fuel mileage is improved by 15 percent, and emissions are down 20 percent. Also, for what it's worth, Ferrari promises "the most exhilarating soundtrack any turbo has ever yielded." Sounds pretty good to us... There's plenty more of interest besides the new turbocharged engine, such as the retractable hardtop that turns the four-seater into a convertible in 14 seconds, improved steering response, reduced roll and pitch when cornering and carbon-ceramic brakes.
