1991 Ford Mustang Lx 5.0 Hatchback on 2040-cars
Pottsville, Arkansas, United States
Selling my 1991 LX 5.0 Hatchback. This is a factory 5.0 car with a 5-speed manual transmission. Interior: great condition, power lumbar works on both sides, power windows work, factory radio, factory shifter, ash tray door, center console, all gauges work(speedo cable could use lube) no rips/tears/burn holes, headliner is nice and tight, brand new window motors, window switches, door lock actuators Exterior: paint is a home job a previous owner did, couple of dings in the passenger door, no rust, no big dents, no known accidents according to the Carfax, tires are good, all glass is good and has fresh window tint, comes with factory LX wing that was original to the car Mechanical: mostly stock with the exception of catalytic converters removed, Flowmasters installed(still has factory headers), also has BBK cold air intake, could use front struts though, also has new 180 degree thermostat installed, still has smog pump installed, cold a/c works great I have receipts from the previous owner for the following work: heater core replacement, radiator hoses, new speedo cable, new fuel injectors(factory 19#), plenum gasket, spark plugs/wires/cap, fuel filter, fuel pump, new motor mounts, new clutch, pressure plate, release and pilot bearings, flywheel, rear main seal, door striker plates This is a fantastic example of an unmolested Fox Body Mustang. It runs great, doesn't smoke or make weird noises, and is just an awesome car overall. As you can tell it has been well taken care of and deserves a good home! Clean title is in hand. $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 24hrs of auction ending I have this car listed for sell locally as well so I reserve the right to end the auction early if need be. Shipping must be arranged and paid for by the buyer, but I have no problem helping the transporter load the vehicle. |

Ryan Tuerck's Ferrari-powered Scion drifts, crashes, fixes, and drifts again
Sat, Sep 23 2017We were pretty astonished when Ryan Tuerck and Gumout shoved a Ferrari 458 V8 into a Scion FR-S. And as awesome as that fact alone may be, it's even more amazing that it's a fully functional drifter, not just a show car. Tuerck recently took it out to Portland, Ore. to do some sweet drifting on a mountain road. Unfortunately for him and the car, he did something substantially less sweet right off the bat. As you'll see in the video, in just the second corner of the course, Tuerck drives the front corner of the GT4586 right into the dirt cliff on the side of the road. For a moment, it looks like things are all right, but the car starts pulling to the right and he stops the car for repairs. After fixing bits including a thoroughly bent tie-rod, the GT4586 is good as new. We're glad the car wasn't down for long, because the drifting show following the repairs was fantastic. In the video, Tuerck throws the Scion into high-speed, super smoky drifts. And all of it happens to the tune of a shrieking Ferrari V8. It's well worth a few minutes of your time to watch. Ferrari 458 Speciale speeds toward Frankfurt
Tue, 20 Aug 2013When the doors open at the Frankfurt Motor Show in a few weeks, there'll be loads of new cars and new versions of existing ones. And as far as the latter category goes at least, this will undoubtedly be what show-goers will look forward to most.
What we have here is the Ferrari 458 Speciale - the successor to the 360 Challenge Stradale and 430 Scuderia, and the hard-core version of the 458 Italia. It was expected to carry the name Monte Carlo, but then Ferrari has never been fond of letting the press dictate what it would call its cars. But forget the nameplate: what really matters is what it's got to offer.
For starters, the award-winning, high-revving 4.5-liter V8 has been retuned to deliver 605 cv (596 hp by our standards), up from 562 hp in the standard 458, while torque remains the same at 398 lb-ft. But the other side of the power-to-weight ratio (quoted at 2.13 kg/cv) is the extra mass Ferrari has cut out of the equation: the 458 Speciale's dry weight is quoted at 1,290 kg (2,844 lbs), representing a significant drop from the 458 Italia's 1,485 kg (3,274 lb) curb weight.
