Hello Thanks for checking out this 612- I know it gets said a lot around here but CHECK OUT THIS RARE 612! This car is listed as a Manual and it actually has a Stick!

Silverstone /Nero with silver contrast

These cars are great fun and make some wonderful sounds. It is a true Super GT Touring car. It is almost practical and a pretty classy Ferrari at that.

This car has had a very privileged existence. Has been well cared for and it shows on this example.

We are showing 20,446 miles. This 612 was last serviced in April of 13. With 19,717 mi. It will be due for the Belt Service next spring.

There is a sport exhaust on the car. This exhaust was part of what you got with the handling pkg on 612. The full pkg had CCM brakes, Exhaust, wheels and suspension. Our car just has the Exhaust.

There has been a Double Din Head unit installed in this car. It is cleanly done and completely functional.

The Cavalino Badges have been removed from the fenders by the owner of the car. Close inspection of the fenders will note shrinkage of the paint where the badges once were. The surface is smooth but you can see a minor trace of the outline. I’ve tried to capture it in an image but it is quite difficult to show. The color match is great and unless you had a very specific eye for this stuff you wouldn’t know it was there.

I’m always available to help answer any and all other inquiries about this or any of the other cars we have for sale.

Feel free to reach out.

Race Recap: 2014 Italian Grand Prix goes heavy on rescue and recovery

Mon, 08 Sep 2014

In the two weeks it's taken Formula One to move from Belgium to Italy, fleet-footed rumor has outrun the driver transfer market - Fernando Alonso can't issue enough denials of a departure from Ferrari, McLaren isn't sure what it wants to do with its drivers, Lotus has found out why it stinks this year and that the problem can't be fixed this year, and Nico Rosberg is said to have donated a team-ordered six-figure fine to charity to atone for his Belgian waffling. Oh, and Lewis Hamilton regained his pole-grabbing form.
That's how the Mercedes AMG Petronas man found himself at the head of the grid for the Italian Grand Prix, ahead of his teammate Rosberg by a quarter of a second. And because the high-po Monza circuit loves a high-po Mercedes engine, Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa lined up in third and fourth for Williams, followed by Kevin Magnussen and Jenson Button in their McLarens. Alonso flattered the Ferrari again, lining up seventh, followed by the Infiniti Red Bull Racing duo of Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo, but Sergio Perez in the Sahara Force India would make it seven out of ten for the Mercedes HPP engine program.
When the lights went out to start the race, Hamilton - and a few other top drivers - discovered that the work of recovery wasn't finished.

Race Recap: 2013 Bahrain Grand Prix follows the template of this year and last [spoilers]

Mon, 22 Apr 2013

The sand, the wind, the penalties, the contact and the one crash - all of them collided to make the Bahrain Formula One Grand Prix a surprise affair from day to day and lap to lap. Oh, and did we mention the tires? Pirelli made a last-minute swap after the amusement park ride that the Chinese Grand Prix turned into with the soft compound tire, and brought medium and hard compounds to the desert. That didn't stop things from falling apart for some teams - literally - and that didn't stop the one team that seems to love the hard compound Pirelli tire.

1956 Ferrari 250 Tour de France could fetch $11M [w/video]

Wed, Jul 29 2015

Highly valuable and arrestingly gorgeous classic Ferraris come up for auction all the time. Most of them derive from the 250 series: GTOs, SWB Berlinettas, Lussos, Testa Rossas. And when they do, they almost invariably fetch big bucks. But there's something about this one that just stops us in our tracks. The long wheelbase, the simple but elegant lines, the French blue paintjob and minimalist racing livery.... That it happens to have an unsurpassed racing history only sweetens the deal, as we're sure collectors are bound to find out when bidding opens in Monterey next month. This 1956 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Competizione was one of just 14 made, and one of just nine built by Scaglietti without the louvers on the remaining five Zagato-bodied examples. But what sets it apart is its racing history. It belonged to the legendary Marquis Alfonso de Portago, a Spanish nobleman and gentleman racer who rose to celebrity status in the early 1950s. Renowned for courting both women and danger, de Portago took to motor racing in 1953, proved a quick study, and was signed by Ferrari in '56. Portago drove this very car to victory at the notoriously challenging Tour de France, which included two hill climbs, six circuits, and a drag race over the course of six days. With his longtime compatriot and co-pilot Edmund Nelson (whom he befriended as a child living in New York's Plaza Hotel where Nelson worked the elevator) at his side, the Marquis dominated the event. So kicked off a series of four consecutive wins Ferrari would take at the famously grueling race, cementing this model's name as a result. The duo won a number of other races in this car, which proved practically undefeated in their hands. Tragically, Portago and Nelson were killed in a crash at the Mille Miglia mere months later, putting an end to their lives as well as that of the Italian road race. The car subsequently passed through the hands of a number of notable collectors on both sides of the Atlantic, underwent a ground-up restoration in the early 1990s, and has won top honors at numerous events, including Pebble Beach, Meadow Brook, and the Louis Vuitton concours d'elegance. It's now going up for auction for the first time in 23 years as part of RM Sotheby's array at Monterey this summer.
