2007 599 GTB Fiorano F1 Grigio Silverstone Exterior/ Bordeaux Interior only 2,500 actual miles: Original MSRP was 338,777 which did not include over 30K in upgrades I have added. It has 17+ Factory options which I will list below..

In April of 2011 I had a FULL service completed at an authorized Ferrari dealership which included:

Complete fluid change( Oil+ filter,anti-freeze,differential,F-1 trans,Brake fluid.,Power steering,air and interior filters) .cost=$1,137.00

In April 2011 I had my Ferrari dealer install the handling portion of the HGTE kit installed.. The kit consists of the following:

A) Stiffer front and rear springs.B) stiffer rear sway bar. C) New recalibrated ECU for shocks. D) HGTE rims: The front wheels are a half-inch wider than on the standard 599 GTB but keep the same 245/45ZR20 tire size. The rear wheels and 305/35ZR20 tire size remain the same as on the standard model. Tire compound is 12-15% stickier. Together, a half-degree more of negative camber and a stickier compound for the Pirelli P Zero tires increases front cornering grip. To maintain handling balance with the added front-wheel grip, Ferrari increased the rear suspension antiroll bar diameter to 24.5 mm. Five-spoke 20-inch modular wheels reduce unsprung weight by 11 pounds. cost = $20 ,000.00+

I also had my dealer install skid plates to protect from front valance scrapes as the car is lowered slightly with the kit. The secondary cats were removed and replaced with Fabspeed straight pipes so now it sounds like a V-12 Ferrari should,lol...There is NO drone and they are not obnoxiously loud.cost=$2,700.00

Other additions:

Custom floormats= $400.00

I had the mirrors, exterior door handles and interior vent rings all done with a carbon fiber overlay by MaCarbon. They look beautiful(see the pics)and Ferrari CF centercaps on the wheels total cost = $5,000.00+

I had the spokes of the HGTE wheels painted the same color as the car Grigio Silverstone at a cost of over $800.00.

I have every and all parts removed except for the carbon parts which are my original parts.Original wheels(Pentastar) and tires have only 1.5K miles on them.ALL parts replaced by the FERRARI HGTE package included.

Formula One speeds towards radical thousand-horsepower shakeup

Wed, Feb 11 2015

The teams, the drivers, the fans, the circuits... few, if any, were satisfied with how Formula One has shaped up since the current regulations took hold last year. But that doesn't mean they aren't working on it. At a recent meeting of the F1 Strategy Group, the leading parties in the sport outlined a new framework that would radically shake up the cars themselves while keeping costs in check. And the biggest change could see the engines producing around 1,000 horsepower. Although a proposal put forth by Ferrari to ditch the current V6 hybrid engines in favor of new twin-turbocharged units was rejected by Honda and Mercedes, the members of the group approved in principal to increase the fuel flow in the existing engines to dramatically boost output. As it stands, the current 1.6-liter turbocharged V6 engines develop around 600 horsepower, with an additional 160 or so kicked in by the electric Energy Recovery System, for a combined output of about 760 hp. What's not clear at the moment is whether the increased fuel flow would necessitate either the return of mid-race refueling (currently banned) or the installation of larger fuel tanks. Red Bull and McLaren also submitted proposals to radically redesign the shape of the cars as well, however a more evolutionary approach was adopted instead. Though far from finalized, the new design would keep the same basic form of the current chassis, but with adjustments to make them more aesthetically pleasing while producing more downforce. Wider tires are also said to be part of the mix. With more power and more grip from the tires and aero, the resulting cars would most certainly end up going much faster than the current ones, which are already starting to nudge the lap records at some of the circuits, many of which were set during the V10 era. The F1 Strategy Group is made up of representatives of the FIA, Formula One Management and six leading teams. The next step will be for the teams' technical directors to iron out how to implement what their bosses have agreed to. If they settle the details fast enough, the revised regulations could be pushed through in time for next season. Ferrari takes over Rodeo Drive to introduce F60 America

Sun, 12 Oct 2014

Unless you own a very special Ferrari, the only way you were going to park on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills today was to walk there and sit down on a bench. Otherwise, occupying the length of the plutomaniac's thoroughfare was everything from a 1948 166 MM Barchetta, the very first Ferrari imported to the United States, to the brand new 458 Speciale A, introduced at the Paris Motor Show earlier this month. A collection of 60 significant Ferraris were on display to celebrate the marque's 60th anniversary as a US citizen, and it was the most impressive gathering of Italian metal we've seen since the company threw its 50th anniversary event at Pebble Beach a decade ago. How about a Le Mans class-winning 250 GTO, the 1954 375 MM Scaglietti Coupe that won best of show at Pebble Beach back in August, or one of the stunning 330 P4 race cars that was part of the 1-2-3 finish at Daytona in 1967? All parked on Rodeo Drive.
The special-est of them all received an introduction from new company chairman Sergio Marchionne, that being the F60 America. Only for the US, with all ten of them already sold for a reported $2.5M each, the F60 America reaches back to early America-branded offerings like the 340 and 375, and US-focused convertibles like the 1967 275 NART Spider, 1969 365 GTS4 Daytona Spider and 2005 575 Superamerica.
Unlike those Spiders, however, the F60 America is a voluptuous departure from the F12 Berlinetta it's based on, with the subtracted top opening up the flex of its hips, pairing nicely with the swell over the front fenders. As we told our photographer Drew Phillips, we're looking at the future of Pebble Beach, and you can enjoy it in the photos above or the rest of the Ferraris on display in the gallery below.

Ferrari 458 Speciale vs Porsche 911 GT3 shows what Chris Harris does best

Thu, Nov 27 2014

After a brief trip behind a pay wall, British auto journalist Chris Harris is back posting videos for free online, and shorts like this one are the perfect example of why his return is so welcome. Showing up at the damp Anglesey Circuit on the Welsh coast with the Ferrari 458 Speciale and Porsche 911 GT3, Harris ostensibly aims to find the better model. However, the final result really succeeds in showcasing the fun to be had behind the wheels of both supercars, particularly when initiating huge slides around the track. As Harris presents it, the vehicles get through the circuit in somewhat different ways The Ferrari is brash and "feels alive," as he puts it as it screams around the track. Alternatively, the Porsche is a bit more restrained, while still being able to show some emotion. In the end, it comes down to trying to get a controlled lap around Anglesey from this duo, but it's pretty clear that the times don't tell the whole story. If you're in the mood to watch two of the world's premiere supercars wag their tails in the wet, then this video cannot be missed.
