I bought my TR-3 a couple of years ago and had it worked on by Macy’s Garage in Huber Heights, OH.  Mark is a Concours D’Elegance Judge and one of the very best Triumph guys in the country.  There is over $28,000 of of mechanical and interior restoration completed on the this car.  I have all of the documentation.  If you want a Triumph that not only looks great, but also feels safe driving down the road, this is the TR-3b for you. Here is a nice artice on Macy's garage: http://www.hemmings.com/hsx/stories/2014/01/01/hmn_feature4.html

When I purchased the body of the car was in excellent shape, but was not mechanically sound.  I replaced the suspension, brakes, new stainless exhaust, new tires/Dayton wire wheels, new black leather/red piping interior from John Skinner in England, new convertible top, hood stick cover, clutch, grill, tri-bar headlamps, custom walnut/teak steering wheel that keeps the horn & turn signal operational.  The cooling system was flushed and the gas tank cleaned and sealed.  The car does NOT have a heater installed and does NOT have side curtains.  The car has been tuned and the valves adjusted.  It runs and drives very well.  The odometer says 33,000 miles but I am not sure of the actually miles.  I have only put about 2000 since I purchased the car.  The paint is very beautiful and shiny with only a couple of very small nicks in the paint.

Ferrari California replica from Ferris Bueller is so choice

Sat, 29 Jun 2013

We like car auctions well enough, but often the high-end affairs are a bit too much like outdoor museums - very beautiful and very cold, and you're not allowed to touch anything. A perfect case in point is the upcoming Mecum auction during the 2013 Pebble Beach weekend, which will feature the legendary replica Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder used in none other than Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Only three were made. The current owner spent ten years restoring this car. It is his love, it is his passion. (Well, it was before he decided to auction it, anyway.)
Actually built by Modena Design and Development in El Cajon, CA, the official name of the stunning replica is Modena Spyder California. Built up on a tube frame, with a meticulously maintained interior and powered by a 500-horsepower small block V8 the car is so choice. If you have the means, we highly recommend picking one up.
Mecum hasn't suggested a predicted auction price for the Hollywood relic as of yet, but with the perfect pedigree to pull Gen X heartstrings, and the proliferation of stupid-wealthy fourtysomethings in and around northern California, we wouldn't be surprised to see a decent value. Just don't wait on it, life moves pretty fast around Pebble Beach. If you'd like to read a full description of the car with fewer script-quotes, look, it's real simple, scroll down.

Ferrari dominant at high-priced RM Auctions' Monterey event

Sun, 17 Aug 2014

Of the 21 multi-million-dollar lots sold over RM Auctions' two-day Monterey event, the top six were Ferraris while the top four were members of the vaunted 275 family. In total, 13 of the 21 seven- and eight-figure entries bore the yellow shield and prancing horse of the Scuderia.
Two cars in particular wowed bidders at the Monterey event - the exceptionally rare Ferrari 275 GTB/C Speciale and a 275 GTB/4 that was originally owned by Hollywood legend Steve McQueen.
The GTB/C Speciale was the first of a three-car run. Ferrari originally planned on campaigning the new range as a GT complement to its prototype entries at Le Mans, although squabbles with the FIA limited its racing career. Still, the extremely rare nature of this car means another example probably won't be coming up for auction for several years. Considering that, the GTB/C's selling price of $26.4 million does make a bit of sense.

Sebastian Vettel to leave Infiniti Red Bull at end of 2014

Sat, 04 Oct 2014

Things are going to look very different in the Formula 1 paddock come 2015. Official word came down from Infiniti Red Bull Racing that Sebastian Vettel, who won four driver's titles while with the energy-infused fizzy drink and marketing company, will be leaving the team after the 2014 season comes to an end. Taking Vettel's well-worn seat at Red Bull will be Daniil Kvyat, who will join Daniel Ricciardo for 2015. Feel free to read that official announcement below.
While no official announcement has yet been made, rumors swirl that Sebastian Vettel will drive for Ferrari in 2015, taking the place of Fernando Alonso, who many believe will end up at McLaren, which itself is in line for a major driver and team shakeup next year as it switches to Honda power. It's not clear where the rest of the current crop of F1 drivers will land, but as this first blockbuster domino falls into place, expect the rest to fall in line in the coming weeks and months.
