I am proud and sad at the same time to offer this fine 2008 Ferrari Spider F1 in Corsa Red with Beige Leather. I purchased this awesome sports car, possibly going through my mid- life crisis. I looked for a long time to find the right car at the right price until I found this car. What a beautiful machine. I have owned many cars over the years, but none that have given me the thrill, or got the looks and thumbs up from people passing or driving by that this spectacular car has. I can't even begin to tell you how many people have asked to get a picture taken with this car. I've even have people ask to pay to take a ride in it. What a thrill!! Now unfortunately it is time to sell this great sports car. My loss can be your gain. This fine automobile has been garage kept and I have never even taken it out in the rain. This car was serviced less than 900 miles ago by Ferrari where they went over this car from head to toe. No expense was spared as the total bill for the service was $20,597. You can certainly buy this car with confidence. I stop short to say this car is flawless, because if you look long and hard enough you can find a flaw even with a new car. However I challenge anyone to find a cleaner or nicer 2008 Ferrari F1 Spider. It is drop dead Gorgeous!!!

Here are some of the particulars: The list price was $255,867.00. Options include, Daytona Style Seats, Electrically Operated Seats, Red Brake Calipers, Scuderia Ferrari Shields, Radio Navi System + Bluetooth, Front and Rear Parking Sensors, Roll Bar Upholstery Colour, Leather Upholstered Rear Bench, High Power HiFi with Subwoofer, Special Stitching. All of these items are listed on the window sticker as options. I do have the window sticker along with the books and extra key. I also have the VIP book with actual pictures of this car as it is being built in the factory from beginning to end (pretty cool). This car has no paintwork, has never been in an accident and has a clean car fax. If you are looking for the best bang for your buck, this is the one for you. I agree the miles are a bit high but when you're driving this baby, or have it parked in front of your house, no one will know unless you tell them. And of course the price is right! This car looks the part of a 5,000 mile car. The only thing I can say negative about this car is the rear window is a little flawed from putting the top done, but easy to replace if you feel it bothers you.

I feel this car is priced right… so serious inquiries only and no low balls please. If you have any doubts about the miles, look for something else. I want the person that buys this car to be as happy about their purchase as I was when I bought it, and I still am. I do want to find a good home for this car, however I am not desperate and won't give it away. I just want a fair price for me as well as you. Any serious inquiries can reach me at 215-669-7161. Thank You, Tony

Father's ultra-rare Ferrari to leave family for a good cause

Wed, 24 Jul 2013

It isn't every day that the rarest of Ferrari models change hands. In fact, you can count your fingers to get the number of 275 GTB/4*S N.A.R.T. Spyders that ever existed. The 1967 Ferrari you see here is one of those ten Spyders, and it has stayed in the same family since it was bought new.
The car was bought through Luigi Chinetti, Ferrari's US importer at the time, by the late Eddie Smith Sr., a Ferrari collector and businessman from North Carolina. Smith kept it - and kept driving it - until the day he died six years ago. Since then, this remarkable machine has been collecting dust. Smith's son, Eddie Smith Jr., spent some time with Petrolicious to give a history of the car and explain why he and his family are going to do the one thing his father never could: sell it. The catch? All of the money it earns on the auction block will be donated to charity.
"It'll be a bittersweet thing, because we know the fact that all the money is going to charities that he would approve of," Smith Jr. said about his father, and it "will really make him smile, because he loved to give back."

Romania's Forza Rossa to join 2016 F1 grid

Tue, Nov 4 2014

Bazac's Maranello ties have prompted speculation that Forza Rossa could be as closely affiliated with Ferrari as Hass. Formula One may be in a bit of a crisis at the moment, with two of its smaller teams collapsing into bankruptcy, but there may yet be light at the end of the proverbial tunnel as two new teams are gearing up to take their place. One of those teams is Forza Rossa, and while we haven't much anything about the Romanian entry in in recent months, a new report from Pitpass indicates that plans are well under way – if not without their complications. Forza Rossa is being backed by a number of Romanian parties, including veteran race strategist Colin Kolles (who was most recently involved in the Caterham buyout) and Ion Bazac, former government minister and Ferrari's Romanian importer (pictured above next to Giancarlo Fisichella). Interestingly, the latter's ties to Maranello have prompted speculation that the team could be at least as closely affiliated with Ferrari as Haas (the American team being started by industrial machinery magnate and NASCAR team owner Gene Haas). A third Romanian individual – former soccer player Constantin Cojocar – turns out to have been the one who bought Caterham Sports Ltd, the company which designed and built the cars for the Caterham F1 Team until its recent collapse. The plan was to supply chassis and components to both Caterham and Forza Rossa, but Cojocar evidently had trouble paying the bills and keeping the lights on. Caterham's bankruptcy, however, could present a golden opportunity for Forza Rossa to scoop up the assets of both the team and the manufacturer at a good price, building the new team on the burnt foundations of the old one – even if it has already been granted the go-ahead by the FIA to form its own entry. That, however, won't happen until 2016 at the earliest, whittling down the grid in the meantime from 22 cars to 18. According to the arrangement between the FIA, Formula One Management and the teams, that threshold would oblige at least the leading teams to make up the lost places on the grid by fielding a third car each – something they couldn't prepare in time for US Grand Prix this past weekend, but which could be put into action for next season.

1964 Ferrari 250 LM expected to net $12-15 million at RM's NY auction

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

If you're one of the very fortunate souls that has $12 to $15 million burning a very large hole in your pocket, we've found the perfect way to liberate yourself from the burden of so much money - buy this Ferrari, which is being put up for auction. It's a supremely rare Ferrari 250 LM, the 24th member of a 32-car run, that rolled off the assembly line on what we imagine was a brilliant, sunny Italian summer's day in July of 1964.
Officially known as Chassis 6107, this 250 LM is rare because unlike its brothers, it wasn't originally bought to be a race car. Its first owner used it more or less as a toy, both around town and on the infamous Mulholland Drive, in California. After a pair of owners, it found its way into the hands of an Ecuadorian pair, who kicked off its racing career. Its best result was at the 1968 24 Hours of Daytona, where it finished eighth overall and first in class, although subsequent runs at Daytona and Sebring were less successful. Its most recent owner was a Japanese collector, who purchased the car in 1983 and has had it on display ever since.
