You are looking at a personal car of an automotive dealer, hence the dealer tag, however I bought the for myself. I shopped for a month and purchased this baby in May. Ill be happy to show you the bill of sale and you will see I paid a lot more. This car is as good as it gets, the car was purchased brand new in California in 2007 and serviced only by Ferrari of Beverly Hills till 2010. When I purchased it, I had it inspected by Ferrari of Orlando in May 2013. I had the seller put BRAND NEW CLUTCH for me in APRIL 2013 before I bought is. The car had 16301 miles. Clutch, brakes, tires, seals were all perfect when I bought it in May 2013. The interior leather is in like new condition with no shrinkage anywhere. Then there is the long list of very expensive options, all told about $47,000 of it. lets start with the mat black powder coated wheels, the shields, and the expensive but effective YELLOW CALIPER ceramic brake pads. There is the carbon fiber rear challenge grill, NAVIGATION with DVD/TV, BACK UP CAMERA with the upgraded sound system and amplifier along with carbon fiber console and carbon fiber accent pieces are further enhanced by the leather parcel shelf and roof, silver dedication plate, Ferrari Daytona Challenge SPORT seats. Also front EURO bumper which deleted ugly side markers and turn signals are in the headlights like Ferrari meant them to be. This car was tuned in Germany by Ferrari and stainless steel headers were replaced and upgraded to EUROPEAN SPECS which supped up this car to about 650HP, unfortunately I don't have any documentation supporting that so I'm just putting it out there without taking it into consideration pricewise. This was my personal car and I had it for almost 6 months and 4000 miles. I am a dealer and I paid way more than this for this car just a few months ago. So at 105K I know and you know you are getting a steal. I picked up the car from Maserati of Orange Park on 10/10/13 and we have tighten up few minor issues: oil and filter change, one paddle shifter was little loose, there was a small oil spot on the O-Ring and bottom plastic was loose. All that has been addressed and the receipt is the last 2 pictures. On the next oil change service it is recommended to replace: Wiper blades, engine and cabin air filters, rear tires. CLUTCH READING IS 70%. Feel free to call me 904-994-2021.

 ABOUT THE MODEL:

Excitingly focused mini-Enzo looks, fabulously energetic engine, ultra-sharp but easy-to-drive handling, an F1 shift which works as it should, huge stopping power with optional carbon-ceramic brakes, every drive is a special occasion with the Ferrari F430. Servicing is cheaper than for 360, too.

The thrilling news that Ferrari has won the Constructors’ World title for the sixth consecutive year and the Drivers’ World title for the fifth consecutive year, courtesy of Michael Schumacher, is still ringing in our ears. Ferrari has achieved these results thanks to its enormous, ongoing commitment to R&D, allowing continuous technological transfer from Formula 1 to road cars.

ENGINE

The F430 is powered by a new 90° V8 featuring Ferrari’s traditionally uncompromising design approach with a flat-plane crank (180° between throws). This is an all-new unit that does not share any components with the 360 Modena’s engine. The improvement in terms of performance, weight and reduction of overall dimensions is the result of applying Ferrari’s wealth of F1 experience to its road cars. Despite a 20% increase in engine displacement (from 3586 cc to 4308 cc), engine weight has grown minimally by just 4 kg, while performance is considerably improved across the board. Torque increases by 25% (343 lb-ft at 5250 rpm, 80% of which is already available at 3500 rpm) and power by 23% (490 bhp at 8500 rpm).
The engine is extremely compact with a cylinder spacing of just 104 mm. Similarly, Ferrari’s engineers integrated the sump and main bearings in a single casting which, along with a smaller diameter twin-plate clutch and flywheel, has reduced the engine height between the bottom of the oil sump and the crankshaft to just 130 mm (from 145 mm on the 360 Modena power unit).

TRANSMISSION

The F430 features F1 a new cast-aluminium transmission casing that houses the gearbox in unit with the electronic differential and bevel type final drive, as well as the engine oil tank. The 6-speed gearbox incorporates multicone synchronizers, while both the 6th gear and the final drive have been lengthened to make the most of the greater power and torque of the new engine.

INTERIOR

The F430’s interior has been re-designed for improved driver ergonomics. The instruments are housed in a new binnacle, and this design together with the layout of the dashboard underlines the care that has gone into grouping all the major controls in front of the driver within easy reach. In the driver’s direct line of sight are the rev counter, which features new graphics with a choice of either a red or yellow background and a new metal surround, the digital readout of the gear ratio selected (F1 version) and a multi-function display. The same uncompromising approach to driver control was the inspiration behind mounting the starter button and manettino on the steering wheel. The wheel itself is new with the upper rim flattened to improve visibility in the straight ahead position, and the horn pushes are integrated into the inner rim where they can be easily actioned.

The interior reflects the advanced technology and materials employed in the car’s construction, and can be personalized with carbon-fibre or aluminium inserts. The cockpit is noticeably bigger and the already excellent passenger comfort is subsequently increased thanks to a slimmer central tunnel which houses the gear lever turret on the manual version and the F1 console on the paddle-shift version. There is plenty of space behind the rear seats, with a new electrically operated compartment for oddments storage and catch netting to the rear fire wall. The seats have been redesigned for greater lateral containment.

A weird end to a weird F1 season | 2016 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix recap

Mon, Nov 28 2016

The 2016 Formula 1 season ended with a bang that came from a direction no one expected. Lewis Hamilton put his Mercedes-AMG Petronas on pole position and then got away clean to start the race. Teammate Nico Rosberg did the next best thing, lining up in second and following right behind Hamilton for most of the race. Other than Rosberg's wicked pass on Red Bull's Max Verstappen to retake second place on Lap 20, things stayed all quiet at the front. Come Lap 32 of the 55-lap race, however, observers began to wonder why Hamilton was driving so slow. The Brit, working every trick he could think of to win the Driver's World Championship instead of just the race, dogged it out front trying to push Rosberg back into the chasing mix of Red Bulls and Ferraris. Over the next 15 laps Hamilton's race engineer repeatedly radioed ideal lap times. Hamilton only occasionally hit the times until finally saying, "I suggest you let us race." When the one-stopping Sebastian Vettel blasted his Ferrari from sixth to third, nosing up to Rosberg's gearbox, Mercedes team honcho Paddy Lowe got on the radio to instruct Hamilton to go faster. Hamilton replied that if he wasn't going to win the championship he didn't care about winning the race. Hamilton repeatedly zoomed through the first sector to keep everyone behind, then clogged up the works through Sectors 2 and 3. The problem with his plan was that the Red Bulls in fourth and fifth couldn't get close enough to threaten the trio at the front; even if Vettel had got by Rosberg, Rosberg would still win the Championship with a third-place finish. As it happened, Rosberg finished second behind the disconsolate Hamilton. Vettel took third, followed by Red Bull drivers Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo, then the second Ferrari piloted by Kimi Raikkonen in sixth. Nico Hulkenberg took seventh, beating Force India teammate Sergio Perez for the last time as an intra-team rivalry. Felipe Massa closed his F1 career with ninth place in a Williams chassis that he got to take home as a gift from the team. Fernando Alonso scored the final point for McLaren, a touch of sweet for the team after the bitterness of Jenson Button retiring on Lap 12 with suspension damage. Rosberg's second place earned him 385 points for the season, enough to take the World Driver's Championship from Hamilton by just five points. Some have put the title down to Rosberg's consistency, others to his car's reliability.

1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 is a love letter to Steve McQueen

Mon, 27 Oct 2014

There have been plenty of movie stars who've been into cars, but few genuine aficionados like Steve McQueen. The legendary King of Cool was known for driving his green Mustang and Porsche prototypes on the big screen, but in his private life, he loved his Ferrari.
There was, of course, his iconic 250 GT Lusso, but back in 1967, the actor and sometimes racer also bought a rare 275 NART Spyder. Sadly, that car was totaled a mere two days after he took possession, and there were no replacements available. So he bought this hardtop 275 GTB/4 instead.
Ferrari's Classiche department recently restored the car to pristine condition and RM Auctions sold it for over $10 million, but there's more to its story than its celebrity provenance and high hammer price. Listen to the guys who worked on it for McQueen tell the car's story in this latest video from the Aficionauto.

Race Recap: 2014 Australian Grand Prix quietly opens the new F1 era [spoilers]

Sun, 16 Mar 2014

The first chapter of the new Formula One era has been written with the conclusion of the Australian Grand Prix, and it included a rookie rush, some resurgent and some unsurprising performances, the sound of screeching tires and a couple of firsts.
Outside predictions as to the pace of the Mercedes AMG Petronas team were proved as soon as the Friday practice sessions, with Lewis Hamilton recovering from an engine sensor fault in the first session to top the second, followed by teammate Nico Rosberg. That didn't change come the start of qualifying, not even the rain slowing down the Silver Arrows, Hamilton taking pole as the last man across the line in Q3.
The surprises were in the order behind him, with new Infiniti Red Bull Racing man Daniel Ricciardo grabbing second spot just three-tenths of a second down on Hamilton. Ricciardo not only looked like he belonged at the front of the grid the entire weekend, but he seems to have reversed the Mark Webber jinx: four-time World Champion Sebastian Vettel had car issues and didn't get into Q3, having to settle for 13th on the grid.
