2005 Ferrari F430 F-1 2-door Coupe on 2040-cars
North Miami Beach, Florida, United States
|
Up for sale is my F430. I've owned the car for 3 years and have maintained it with open check book, just like its previous owner who is my friend. I've known this car since almost brand new. The car features a beautiful Grigio Titano exterior and a black interior. It has all the features you'd expect from an F430, including the F-1 shifter, power steering, brakes, seats and mirrors. The car was never raced or 0-60'd which is important as it is usually the case with younger drivers and causes real damage in the long run. This car was always driven the proper way, which includes setting the tranny to neutral waiting for a green light or in traffic. Most recent services done on the car are: In Oct of 2012 the car got minor service including changing the front brakes and rotors. In Jan of 2013 the car got its last major service, including a brand new clutch. (over $10K) All service is documented and was performed at Ferrari of Ft. Lauderdale. The stereo in the car was upgraded to include Navigation and Bluetooth (sliding monitor with touch screen), The work was performed by a professional shop recommended by the Ferrari dealer and all cable work was done while keeping the original plugs in the event you want to go back to the Ferrari stereo which btw is included with the car. Also included are the original Ferrari toolbox and the Ferrari electric air pump as well as two (2) covers: the original red Ferrari cover and an additional custom cover made of thicker material that I put over the red cover to prevent door dings, etc. There is a minor blemish to the carfax, on 05/20/2012 my neighbor didn't see my car getting out the garage and backed into me. The damage was extremely minor as it was at parking lot speed. The rear bumper of his SUV hit my driver side fender and caused a 5" ding in the fender and scratched the front left light. The repair was done by Executive Autobody and all parts were replaced (not repaired) by original Ferrari parts: left front fender and front light. Then the fender was painted and blend was performed on the hood and bumper. That's all there was to it and none of the chassis, wheel or anything beyond the skin was harmed or touch in this accident, so technically this car is accident free with a tiny blemish on car fax. All information is available to the buyer. Current condition of the car is that it's missing the right tow hook cover on the front bumper (its a small 2x2 cap) that someone had stolen while parked, it has a bubble on the right front tire which needs to be replaced and there is a hairline crack on the inner front bumper air intake (the black area). I spoke to Executive Autobody and they told me that they can do the repair for approx. $500, the front tire is about $380 so consider that the car needs $880 to be perfectly mint. This is an excellent car and runs and drives 100%. I am selling it to the highest and best. If you want to get more pictures or the carfax please contact me. This car fully serviced and ready for its new owner. The car is located in FL and can be seen anytime. |

Ferrari 365 GTB/4 brings joy to both father and son
Thu, Apr 2 2015In addition to wonderful cinematography and a keen eye for style, Petrolicious has a knack for showing that cars can bring families together. Whether Nissan fans, classic rally racers or a trio of BMW 5 Series drivers, the series often proves that automobiles can have meaning beyond just as a heap of mechanical parts. The latest video keeps that theme going with a 1973 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona that connects a father and son. Matthew Lange's dad bought his Daytona in 1974 as a company car and certainly didn't let it waste away in the garage. His father put over 30,000 miles on the Pininfarina-designed coupe in just the first few years. Then, when Matthew turned 30, his dad gave him the Ferrari to enjoy. Today, it still gets used regularly and is likely going to the next generation of the family eventually. Even if the father/son story doesn't grab you, there are few things in the automotive pantheon that sound better than a V12 Ferrari. Lange even takes a run through the gears to let Petrolicoius record the wonderful engine sing. Father's ultra-rare Ferrari to leave family for a good cause
Wed, 24 Jul 2013It isn't every day that the rarest of Ferrari models change hands. In fact, you can count your fingers to get the number of 275 GTB/4*S N.A.R.T. Spyders that ever existed. The 1967 Ferrari you see here is one of those ten Spyders, and it has stayed in the same family since it was bought new.
The car was bought through Luigi Chinetti, Ferrari's US importer at the time, by the late Eddie Smith Sr., a Ferrari collector and businessman from North Carolina. Smith kept it - and kept driving it - until the day he died six years ago. Since then, this remarkable machine has been collecting dust. Smith's son, Eddie Smith Jr., spent some time with Petrolicious to give a history of the car and explain why he and his family are going to do the one thing his father never could: sell it. The catch? All of the money it earns on the auction block will be donated to charity.
"It'll be a bittersweet thing, because we know the fact that all the money is going to charities that he would approve of," Smith Jr. said about his father, and it "will really make him smile, because he loved to give back."
Model waves checkered flag too soon at F1's Canadian Grand Prix
Mon, Jun 11 2018MONTREAL — Formula One said on Sunday it will review its procedures after the Canadian Grand Prix ended in confusion and embarrassment when a celebrity waved the checkered flag a lap too soon. The gaffe did not affect the outcome of the race, which was won by Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel, but the German said he was left double-checking his lap counter while checking in with his pit before carrying on to run the full 70 laps. "Fortunately we had radio, fortunately I had the lap count in the car, and the pitboard was accurate — but if you lose radio and maybe the pitboard is not there, then you back off," said Vettel after notching his 50th career win. "I was just worried, I told them also on the last lap, then people don't jump on the track, waving flags and celebrating, because we're still going at full pace." The official results were later determined based on the 68th lap to avoid any impact the early flag might have had. Formula One race director Charlie Whiting said the error was caused by simple miscommunication between the official starter and crew in the starter's tower, which resulted in model Winnie Harlow — a friend of Mercedes world champion Lewis Hamilton — waving the flag prematurely. "It was a miscommunication between the start platform and the guy they call the starter here," explained Whiting. "He thought it was the last lap and asked them at the top to confirm it, they confirmed it. "They thought he was making a statement when in fact he was asking a question. "He told the flag waver to wave it a lap early. It was as simple as that, it wasn't anything to do with the fact it was a celebrity flag waver. "The celebrity was not to blame." Celebrities are often given the honor of waving the checkered flag at motor races, which has occasionally resulted in unintended flubs. Brazilian soccer great Pele famously reacted too late when Ferrari's Michael Schumacher won at Sao Paulo's Interlagos circuit in 2002, brandishing the flag instead as the later finishers appeared. While the incident on Sunday produced shrugs and even a few chuckles, there were also very real safety concerns, as course workers often come out of their safety areas to stand alongside the track waving flags. "We need to review procedures and make sure we have a very simple procedure for every circuit," added Whiting. "We're dealing with different human beings, different countries, different languages and it's not always absolutely perfect.
