This Ferrari 360 Spider is an excellent driver. This is not a showroom queen and will not win any price on the Ferrari snuffy car show. It is a solid driver that is in good shape with some minor flaws and has some extreme options on it.
This Ferrari is a Euro import model. It has a Florida title and has had all kinds of services done. The mayor engine service with timing belt was done in-house by our own race mechanics less than 1000 Miles away. We have since done several other services such as hydraulic on the top, AC service and several other repairs and preventive maintenance. A full list will be supplied to the new owner. This car has a few special items that are not common on the average 360. For one, you can see from the picture the dash light for the shocks is lit up. That is because we installed Challenge race shocks, from the 360 Challenge car, into this baby. The ride is stiffer and lower now but the handling is so much better. It feels like a go-kart. Challenge shocks do not come with the shock sensors and as such the car thinks there are no shocks attached to the car. I am sure that someone with reasonable electronic knowledge can built a resistor that will override the computer. We just never bothered with it. The air intakes are carbon fibre. They look nice and have performance advantages. Here is what we have done recently to the car: - the top has been replaced and is essentially new. - the seats have been re-upholstered with Daytona pattern. - sport exhaust....yes, that ultimate V8 sound pure! Here is what the car has that is not 100%: - the front headlight covers have the typical fogginess to it. - there are a few rock chips here and there and the typical little scrape on the top cover when the top mechanism does not open fully and leaves a little scruff. You will find it on most cars. - typical scrapping under the front bumper. On the black painted part. VIN: ZFFYT53B000122024 Shipping: We can deliver to any auto carrier you pick. Incredible French barn finds could fetch over $18M [w/video]
Sat, Dec 6 2014We all dream about taking a drive and discovering the mythical barn find of a vintage Shelby Cobra or Porsche Speedster hidden way under a sheet, totally forgotten. An upcoming auction from Artcurial in France on February 6 proves that these treasure troves still really do exist, and this might be one of the ultimate barn finds ever. Decaying away on a French estate, there was a collection of about 100 dirt-covered cars that had been undisturbed for decades, according to The Telegraph. They included all of the great European marques, like Bugatti, Porsche, Maserati, Ferrari and many more. Most of the vehicles were underneath a shed but generally exposed to the elements; however, two very special sports cars were hidden away in a garage (pictured above). In there was a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider with covered headlights. It was one of just 37 made and thought to be lost. Beside the Ferrari was a 1956 Maserati A6G Gran Sport Frua. The collection belonged to Roger Baillon, a French transport magnate, according to Artcurial. He amassed this wonderful collection, but when his business fell on hard times in the '70s, Baillon sold part of the group off. These were the ones he kept, but they eventually went forgotten. Artcurial thinks that only 60 of the cars are actually in salable condition, and they cross the block during the Retromobile Salon in February. The auctioneers believe the Ferrari could sell for as much as 12 million euros (14.74 million) and the Maserati for 1.2 million euros ($1.5 million). Check out the gallery to glimpse the breadth of classics in this collection. Be sure to scroll down for a must-watch, gut-wrenching, patina-laden video showing off the collection and for Artcurial's press release about the sale. This content is hosted by a third party. LaFerrari, meet YouTube. YouTube, LaFerrari
Tue, 05 Mar 2013If, for some reason, you feel like we've left anything out of our coverage of the exciting new LaFerrari unveiled today in Geneva, don't fret - Ferrari has us covered. The automaker has graced us with a total of seven videos of its new hybrid supercar today including the original launch video we already showed you this morning.
The six new videos discuss a broad spectrum of topics, such as LaFerrari's overall architecture, carbon fiber chassis and body, driving dynamics and the 160-horsepower HY-KERS (HYbrid Kinetic Energy Recovery System) part of the powertrain. There is also coverage of today's auto show unveiling and, our favorite, a short video showing the car being tested around the Fiorano Circuit plus some bonus footage of past Ferrari supercars like the GTO, F40, F50 and Enzo.
In total, there is almost 30 minutes of video goodness to bring you just about all the information there is to know about LaFerrari, and all seven videos are posted below.
Second day of RM's Monterey auction continues the million dollar madness
Sun, 18 Aug 2013RM Auctions' two-day event during the Monterey car week is pretty much a matter of appetizer and main course. Friday night's appetizer saw a trio of multi-million-dollar Ferraris, along with a pre-war Mercedes-Benz and a Jaguar D-Type. You can read all about those beauties right here. But as we said in that post, the action would really happen on Saturday night. The prices listed below include RM's ten-percent commission fee, and, as you'll see, the auction house did pretty well for itself.
We've already told you about the $27.5 million winning bid for the 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 NART Spyder, with all the profits headed to charity. While there were more seven-figure winners on night two, the overall prices weren't quit as high as we saw on Friday night. The Ferrari F50 (pictured above) shown during the car's Geneva debut back in the 1990s and with only 1,100 miles on the clock took $1,677,500 (on a $1.25 to $1.6 million estimate). Another winner was a 1935 Hispano-Suiza K6 Cabriolet, which brought in $2,255,000 on a $1.5 to $2 million estimate. A 1974 McLaren M16C Indianapolis, the race winner of the 1974 Indy 500, brought home $3.52 million, essentially doubling its expected price of $1.25 to $1.75 million.
The night wasn't a success for everybody, though. The 1928 Mercedes-Benz 680S Torpedo Roadster, which took Best In Show at the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance failed to reach its $10-million expectations, selling for $8.25 million. That's not peanuts by any stretch, but a car that only goes for about 80 percent of its expected price isn't something to be enthusiastic about. A 1960 Maserati Tipo 61 Birdcage, which was expected to go for $3 to $4 million only took in $2,090,000.
