1999 Ferrari 360 Previously Celebrity Owned on 2040-cars
Rutherford, New Jersey, United States
This 1999 Ferrari 360 is being auctioned to the highest bidder. The car was
acquired from Southern California March 2009 with around 14500 miles. The car
has Stradale like full suede interior with suede racing seats. Service was completed
just before attaining the car done by RMT Motor Sports in Yorba Linda, CA at
14438 miles in Feb 2009. The replacement of cam belts and drive belts were
completed at this time, along with other service. When the car was received from
the shipper in March 2009 it was fit with a RoadBlock NY Protection Film on the
hood, bumper, fender and door edges. The car was previously owned by
celebrity actor Paul Walker, with all the documentation to prove it. The AZ
clean title is still in Paul Walker's name and is free and clear of any liens.
Carfax indicated that the car has never been involved in a collision. The car
does have a scratch on the right side bumper/quarter. It has a Stradale grill,
with an aftermarket radio. The car is always garaged and is driven on the
weekends while never seeing snow or rain. The winner of the auction is required
to give a $1,500 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of winning the car, and car must be payed for in full one week from auction finalized. Please
contact through ebay to talk further about the vehicle if you have any questions
regarding the car before you bid. Looking to make this sale very easy regarding
any other questions, concerns, shipping. I reserve the right to end auction at
any time, as car is being sold locally. Vin: ZFFYR51B000116318

Scuderia Ferrari dreams up the F1 car of the future
Tue, Feb 17 2015Formula One is in for a big shakeup, at least if all the parties can agree on a way forward at a meeting of the F1 commission today in Geneva. And this is the way Ferrari apparently hopes things will go. Dreamt up by the design department in Maranello, this concept represents Ferrari's vision for the F1 car of the future. Its got far more streamlined aerodynamics, a two-tier front wing, a much larger rear wing, and wheels that are still "open" but far more enveloped than anything we've seen to date, wrapped in low-profile tires like those proposed by Pirelli. The cockpit is still open as well, contrary to proposals to enclose them, with a conceptual helmet design that seems to meld into the bodywork – though we're not quite sure how that would be implemented, practically speaking. It's a pretty striking design, especially compared to the oddball shapes to which modern grand prix racers have evolved over recent years, with all their fragile appendages. Actually putting this into practice, though, is another matter entirely. Both McLaren and Red Bull were said to have shown their own evolutionary designs to the F1 strategy group, though they didn't release theirs to the public. This pie-in-the-sky proposal from Ferrari looks a bit closer to some of the radical, futuristic designs penned by Red Bull for Gran Turismo. Twin LaFerraris roar around Fiorano
Wed, 18 Sep 2013What could possibly be better than a Ferrari LaFerrari running at full clip on the Italian brand's Fiorano test track? The answer is obviously two LaFerraris, both doing hot laps. So far as we know, this is the first time we've had an unadulterated listen - outside of the car, that is - to the latest Ferrari hypercar when it's being ran hard. There's no voiceover or music, just that righteous, hybridized V12.
We're told that the first LaFerrari, without camo, is a production model, while the other car is said to be testing a different exhaust setup. It sounds slightly different, and according to the videographer, it was noticeably louder than the production car. Take a look below for the full 2:48 of Italian V12 noise.
Ferrari 458 Speciale already sold out for first year
Mon, 09 Dec 2013Ferrari tends to sell its models out extremely quickly - its wait lists are the stuff of legend. That's especially true when the cars in question are of the fastest or most exclusive variety. If new reports are to be believed, Maranello has already sold the entire 499-unit production run of its new LaFerrari hypercar, and now Australia's Motoring is claiming that Ferrari has also filled its order book for the entire first year's production run of its new 458 Speciale.
For those unfamiliar, the 458 Speciale follows in a proud line of hardcore mid-engined V8 Ferraris in the footsteps of the 360 Challenge Stradale and 430 Scuderia. It's lighter, more powerful and more aerodynamically advanced than the 458 Italia upon which it's based, and just trails half a second behind the more powerful F12 Berlinetta (and the aforementioned LaFerrari) as the third-quickest road car ever to lap the Italian automaker's Fiorano test track. That means it's quicker even than the 599 GTO and Enzo.
Although we've yet to receive official word, we're expecting a sticker price approaching $300,000 - about a quarter more than the 458 Italia. But that doesn't appear to have stopped Ferrari from raking in the orders. Check it out in our substantially updated image gallery above.
