THIS IS A FERRARI 355 F1, HAS PADDEL SHIFTER TYPE TRANSMISSION AS WELL AS AUTOMATIC  MODE. CAR IS PRETTY MUCH STOCK EXCEPT FOR THE UPDATED CD PLAYER AND DOOR SPEAKERS. THE EXTERIOR OF CAR I WOULD RATE 7/10 AND INTERIOR 7/10. CAR HAS NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR FOR ITS AGE.  LEATHER SEATS ARE FADED IN PLACES BUT STILL PRETTY SOFT, THIS CAR HAS THE NORMAL DASH SHRINKAGE AROUND THE CENTER VENT AND SEATBELT RETAINER HOLES . THE STICKY PROBLEMS THESE CARS NORMALLY HAVE HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM EVERYTHING EXCEPT THE VENTS. CAR A/C STILL BLOWS COLD. ALL WINDOWS ROLL UP, DRIVERS IS A LITTLE SLOWER THAN PASSENGER SIDE. ALL EXTERIOR LIGHTS WORK AS THEY SHOULD, TIRES HAVE GOOD TREADS, WHEELS ARE GOOD EXCEPT FOR DRIVERS REAR, HAS A LITTLE ROAD RASH. WIPERS ARE IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION, BRAKES WORK FINE AND HAVE GOOD PAD LIFE LEFT, THESE CAR SIT LOW SO THERES FRONT BUMPER PAINT MARKS, SCRATCHES AND SLITE CRACKS, WITH THIS BEING SAID STILL LOOKS GOOD FROM THE FRONT. ONLY NOTICEABLE DENT IS ON DRIVER FRONT FENDER BY DOOR OPENING ABOUT 2 INCHES IN LENGHT. OTHRER THAN THAT, LITTLE MARKS HERE AND THERE BUT NOTHING THAT TAKES AWAY FROM IT'S OVER ALL APPEAL. SHOCKS LIGHTS COMES ON IN THIS CAR BUT TURNS OFF AFTER YOU START DRIVING, THERE IS A TRANSMISSION LIGHT THAT COMES ON, THE CAR STILLS GOES THROUGH GEARS WITH NO PROBLEMS. PREVIOUS OWNERS STATED HE DID SERVICING ON CAR BUT HAS NO RECORDS. THERES IS SMALL EXHAUST LEAK IN THE OEM EXHAUST SOME WHERE. I WOULD SUGGEST GETTING THIS CAR A FULL SERVICE IN THE FUTRE TO BE SAFE AND AFTERMARKET EXHAUST TO GET THAT TRUE FERRARI F1 SOUND. I TRIED TO DESCRIBE THE CAR TO THE BEST OF MY ABILTY, THIS IS MY FIRST FERRAI AND I LOVE IT BUT I GOT TWO OTHER TOYS AND ONLY A TWO CAR GARAGE. CAR GETS A LOT OF ATTENTION AND WELL WORTH THE MONEY. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTION DONT HESITATE TO ASK.

Weekly Recap: Ferrari, Ford and Porsche power up for Geneva

Sat, Feb 7 2015

Monday was Groundhog Day. Tuesday, apparently, was Sports Car Day. The Ferrari 488 GTB, the Ford Focus RS and the Porsche Cayman GT4 all debuted within hours of each other ahead of their rollouts at the Geneva Motor Show. Three sporty machines, three vastly different approaches – and a lot of implications for enthusiasts. That's a day worth repeating. It also illustrates the opportunities automakers see in the performance market, which is expected to grow in the coming years. Ford estimates the segment has expanded 14 percent in Europe and surged 70 percent in North America since 2009. The Detroit Auto Show was evidence of this, and performance cars of every stripe debuted, including the Acura NSX, Ford GT, Alfa Romeo 4C Spider and several others. This isn't a fad. Performance cars aren't going away. The question is why? Stricter CAFE standards are looming in the United States, as are tighter emissions regulations in Europe. And no one expects gas prices to remain low in America. None of this matters for sports cars, and automakers are increasingly using them to elevate their images. That's why Dodge rolled out two 707-horsepower Hellcats last year. It's why Ford has decided to resurrect the GT for road and track. It's why in the depths of bankruptcy, General Motors continued work on the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, not to mention the Z06. "Great brands are made one car at a time," Ford of Europe president Jim Farley said at the reveal of the Focus RS. Still, companies make those cars for different reasons. View 5 Photos Mainstream brands like Ford and Dodge want to build cars that get people talking, excite their bases and drive more potential customers into the showroom. They probably don't buy a Focus RS or a Hellcat, but suddenly the regular Focus hatch looks a bit hotter, and that V6 Charger seems to be just a touch more muscular. The halo of performance is alive and well in the eyes of automakers and their customers. "It's one of the most effective catalysts for ingenuity and innovation," said Joe Bakaj, vice president of product development for Ford of Europe. That also leads to a trickle-down effect. Some of the technologies inevitably make their way to other products. It's hard to think the new all-wheel-drive system in the Focus RS that distributes torque front to rear and side to side won't be used in other vehicles. It's different for Ferrari and Porsche.

Ex-Ferrari chairman sounds off on IPO

Sat, Aug 1 2015

Former Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo preferred to put exclusivity over profits when he ran the company, and the lower volume still meant huge amounts of cash for the business. FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne has since taken over Ferrari, but that hasn't stopped di Montezemolo from voicing his opinions. "I hope that the clients will remain more important than the analyst or the investor or the financial markets," di Montezemolo said prior to his induction into the Automotive Hall of Fame in Detroit, the Detroit Free Press reported. The former chairman argued that once on the stock exchange, a company would need to maximize profits quarter after quarter to keep investors happy. Conversely, di Montezemolo said Ferrari's years of success came from an "exclusivity in terms of number of cars, exclusivity in terms of how you deal with the clients." When di Montezemolo left Ferrari last year, he and Marchionne were scuffling about the future of the brand, including the health of the Formula 1 program. With the change in leadership, the company has reversed course in some ways. Where volume was previously kept around 7,000 units annually, the carmaker has set a new goal of closer to 10,000. The paperwork was filed for the IPO, and Marchionne thinks the company could be worth over $11 billion. The actual shares are rumored to go on sale in October. Related Video:

Ferrari cuts Toronto lawyer a deal to replace his flooded California [w/video]

Thu, 05 Sep 2013

A Ferrari might be the last vehicle you'd want to be driving when streets are submerged in water, but Toronto lawyer Howard Levitt was unfortunate enough to be behind the wheel of his $200,000+ Ferrari California when the tunnel he was driving through started to fill up. It was July, when parts of the Canadian city were flooded, but he was determined to make his flight to a court appearance the next day. So Levitt abandoned his metallic blue supercar in the middle of the street and took a cab to the airport, the National Post reports.
The car subsequently was totaled, and the insurance company covered the damage, so after completing his court assignment (and a column for the Financial Post that was due the same day), Levitt began to search for a replacement for his California - driving his 1994 Dodge Viper in the meantime. He decided on a 2014 California in the same metallic blue to replace his 2010 model. When he approached Ferrari to put in an order, the Italian marque was waiting for him, having heard of his mishap. The company offered him a "very generous" deal on a 2014 model; an undisclosed amount less than the after-options retail price of around $300,000.
The new Ferrari is expected to be delivered to Levitt in November, and we can only hope another flood doesn't catch him off guard. We're not so sure Ferrari would offer him another "very generous" deal. Feel free to watch the short video below, despite its rather static nature, which we included to precisely show the sad fate of Levitt's fallen California.
