1999 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta Excellent condition, COMPLETE service JUST PERFORMED. This is a Red/Tan 6-speed Coupe with proper pedigree, so if you're looking for an F355 like no other on the market, you've found it. The Toy Barn is thrilled to offer this STUNNING 1999 Ferrari F355, finished in Rosso Corsa (Red) over Tan Leather. This car is absolutely beautiful, and has several reasons to consider purchasing: History: This 355 has only 23k miles, and is absolutely beautiful. We just recently took this coupe in on trade from a previous client who purchased it from us back in 2007, and put only 1500 miles on it since he purchased it, treating more as a collectible than a performance car. It was never tracked or abused, and always serviced and fully maintained. The annual service was due when we took it in on trade, so we called upon one the the top Ferrari technicians in the Midwest, Jack Babbitt, owner of NJB Automotive, to go completely through the car and leave no stone unturned. NJB did the full MAJOR engine-out service including the timing belts, tensioner bearings, cam seals, diagnostics and tune, all gaskets, fluids, etc, to the toal of nearly $7k. Check out the complete list of work done below! We then brought the car back to our facility and installed 4 brand new tires, a recommendation made because of the age of the older tires. Fresh MAJOR service, and 4 brand new tires; I'm not sure it gets any better than that. The Carfax report shows a clean and clear history, and the car has never been wrecked or had any paintwork. The service is fresh, the finish is excellent, and the car is unbelievable. We sell Ferraris on a regular basis, and this is certainly one of the ONLY examples like this I've seen. It's gorgeous. Condition: As already mentioned, this car is pristine. The paint shows beautifully, and the car has a clean Carfax report as shown in the link provided below. The wheels are excellent and damage free, and the tires are brand new. Overall, the exterior of this 355 is a solid 9 out of 10. I'd be happy to walk the car over the phone for you to tell you exactly what I see. On the inside, the interior is excellent as well. The Tan leather looks great, everything works as it should, and we had the major "sticky" areas common to these cars (specifically the steering column) fixed at NJB, as well as the AC system charged and the radio fixed. Overall, the interior is a solid 8.5 out of 10, with the only real reason for not being a 9+ simply because of some slight signs of aging (like the wrinkled air bag cover, also common to the 355). Conclusion and points to consider: We sell Ferraris on a regular basis, and most of the time deal in the 360 to 430 cars, with the occasional 458. Seldom do we pursue the 355 or get them in on trade, simply becuase we would want the right car; the coupe, manual transmission, proper pedigree, with fresh service and in the RIGHT color combination. This is just as described, and quite frankly, VERY rare. This is an opportunity to get a freshly-serviced Berlinetta Coupe in it's final year, with the 6 speed manual and the best color combination. Ferrari to debut new twin-turbo California in the spring

Ferrari hadn't made a turbocharged engine since the F40 ended its production cycle in 1992. But that all changed when it helped Maserati develop its new 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8. That turbo engine has so far been shoehorned into the Quattroporte, along with its 3.0-liter V6 cousin that also powers the smaller Ghibli. But soon it'll wear the Prancing Horse badge as further details emerge on the next-generation California.
Set to arrive in time for the spring (likely to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March), the new California will reportedly ditch its naturally-aspirated V8 in favor of a reworked version of the Quattroporte's twin-turbo unit, which at 523 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque is already considerably more muscular than the current California's 483 hp and 372 lb-ft.
The new California will likely be closely based on the outgoing model, but benefit from revised aluminum sheetmetal and an updated cabin with a new infotainment system - two areas in which the current model has scored low marks.

Ferrari looks to cut 20% total C02 emissions over 7 years

In the late 1970s, performance cars suffered a huge blow when the necessity for better economy and lower emissions crippled their power. It took nearly a decade for the horsepower to return. Today, we're in the middle of another push for greater vehicle efficiency, but don't expect another era of malaise this time. Instead, lightweight materials, turbos and hybrids mean that everyone can be happy. However, the pressure to clean up isn't just for the mass market, supercars must improve too, but Ferrari at least seems to be taking on the challenge in stride.
Ferrari Powertrain Director Vittorio Dini recently told Automotive News Europe that the Prancing Horse will improve its current average C02 emissions of 270 grams per kilometer by 20 percent by 2021, to reach about 216 grams of C02 per kilometer. To achieve these lofty ambitions, the company will exploit a relatively simple path. "In the future, all of our V8s will use turbos," said Dini said to ANE. Also, its V12s will use hybridization because it'll be a better choice for them compared to the heat of multiple turbos, he claimed.
The first steps of this strategy are already in front of us. The new California T ditches its naturally aspirated V8 in favor of a smaller displacement, more powerful turbocharged unit, and the LaFerrari is already using the hybrid V12. Dini's quote certainly lends some credence to the rumor that the 2015 refresh for the 458 Italia may use an even more powerful version of the California's turbo V8. With a new Ferrari model planned for each year between now and 2018, the Prancing Horse seems unperturbed by any threats posed by emissions.

Matthew Lange's dad bought his Daytona in 1974 as a company car and certainly didn't let it waste away in the garage. His father put over 30,000 miles on the Pininfarina-designed coupe in just the first few years. Then, when Matthew turned 30, his dad gave him the Ferrari to enjoy. Today, it still gets used regularly and is likely going to the next generation of the family eventually. Even if the father/son story doesn't grab you, there are few things in the automotive pantheon that sound better than a V12 Ferrari.
