of the most beautiful cars Ferrari ever designed, this car is fast, fun,
reliable and a pleasure to own!
I know carfax shows a minor accident... It was a dinged fender and cracked bumper cover both replaced with OEM parts you cannot tell and never effected driving or performance. Maint up to date doesnt need belt service for aprox 24,000 miles. New clutch less than 1000 miles ago.This is the 355 to buy if you want to drive your Ferrari. I have addressed the normal problems known to owning a 355. Valve guides are good no puffing of smoke or worry about having them done. Dash replaced looks beautiful. The 355 dash has a tendency to shrink no worries here. This car is well sorted and needs nothing. I am only selling because I have a new step daughter and need a seat for her . Low mileage ferraris have a tendency to develop problems because they are not driven enough to keep seals oiled and parts from sitting in one spot. Also somethings dont get addressed like valve guides because they haven't showed up yet. Look at the pics they speak for themselves. Garaged, paint maintained by professional detail garage, newer tires, 6 speed shifts smooth (dont buy a F1 they can be a nightmare, not always but if it does you will need deep pockets). No sticky parts! It attracts more attention than you want. A better sounding Ferrari has never been built and this cars look is timeless. The interior shows a little wear but not as much as you would expect. The shift knob has some scratches and before I bought it someone had added a switch for their amp to the center console. I ordered a new center console panel today. Nothing wrong with old one just want it as perfect as possible. The cd player works but I never turn it on the sound of the car is pure music. The drivers side floor mat has some stitching coming undone on the edge by accelerator pedal you can see this in the pictures..is this nit picking? Yes but thats me. I am a Ferrari enthusiast and this is a great F355 has been my pride and joy. I could jump in it now and drive to California. Oil was changed and air filters replaced less than 150 miles ago. Paint was recently polished and waxed. I'm not a good photographer so the pics dont do this car justice. I was more interested in the details that would that you would want to see. I have a $2000 dollar credit with the leading supplier of new and used Ferrari parts in the U.S. So if you want to change or need something it comes with car. Something you should know Ferrari is a different class of car. You can park it next to a $140,000 Porsche 911 and they walk by it to ask if they can get a pic with your Ferrari. Some colors dont sell as well as others. They dont pop and say Ferrari like red and tan does. A cheap Ferrari is the most expensive one. Buy one and you will find out why the hard way. Low mileage doesnt mean a better Ferrari. Its worth more and might win a show but like any car if its not driven it causes problems . No warranty expressed or implied. Ugar Sahin Design's F is a radical Ferrari 458 in disguise
Wed, 02 Apr 2014Look, Ferrari, your latest line of cars is arguably the best looking group of prancing stallions since the early 1970s. Even the rather dull California has gotten some attention, thanks to the new California T. But this, the Ferrari F from Ugur Sahin Design, is just better.
Believe it or not, that is based on a 458 Italia. It's like the designer has taken the very best aspects of the Pagani Huayra, Jim Glickenhaus' P4/5 and the Ferrari LaFerrari and combined them into one amazing package. We think it's positively stunning.
Now, obviously, there are some aspects that wouldn't work for a production car. For example, those rear blind spots are probably huge. But when a car looks this good, who really cares? In fact, we'd be willing to designate this Ferrari as the best looking car Ugur Sahin has penned, which is high praise indeed.
John Lennon's first car being sold at auction
Thu, 09 May 2013This is what you get as your first car after you've just passed your driver's test at the age of 25: a 1965 Ferrari 330GT 2+2 Coupe. Of course, that's assuming your name also happens to be John Lennon and you've just helped record Ticket to Ride with the rest of your Beatles cronies.
When news of Lennon getting a driver's license made the newspapers in England, luxury car makers parked outside his mansion with offerings and this is the one he chose, painted Azzuro Blue with a blue interior. He paid 6,500 pounds, said to be equivalent to 110,000 pounds today ($170K US).
Bonhams will be auctioning the blue Italian at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 12. It was just one of 500 built, has been restored to its original condition, has matching numbers and its original license plate number. The pre-auction estimate is between 180,000 and 220,000 pounds ($278K - $340K US).
Ferrari 488 GTE and GT3 unveiled at Mugello
Mon, Nov 9 2015Ferrari is preparing its latest assault on sports car racing with new racing versions of the 488 GTB. Presented over the weekend at Mugello, the lineup includes both GTE and GT3 racers to replace the current models that were based on the 458 Italia. Though little in the way of details were revealed at the vehicles' presentation, the principal change they present over the accomplished versions they replace are their new turbocharged engines. The 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 replaced the 4.5-liter atmospheric V8 in the road-going version, and is now carried over to the race track as well. Output will, of course, be catered to the regulations pertaining to both classes. Not to be confused with the Volkswagen's hybrid lineup, GTE is the category that replaced the previous GT2 class, and with it absorbed the defunct GT1 class, as well. It's run principally at Le Mans and its associated championships, and the outgoing Ferrari 458 Italia GT2 has proven a force to be reckoned with. That car took top honors in its class every year since the inception of the FIA World Endurance Championship, and won its class twice at Le Mans. Its turbo successor will have quite a challenge in keeping up that legacy. The GT3 class, meanwhile, is a step below, running in the Blancpain Endurance Series, Pirelli World Challenge, and the like. Here the teams running Ferrari equipment could use some extra help, and the new 488 GT3 aims to deliver that competitive edge to get ahead of rivals. Those include GT3 racing versions of the Aston Martin V12 Vantage, Audi R8, Bentley Continental GT, Lamborghini Huracan, McLaren 650S, Mercedes-AMG GT, Nissan GT-R, and Porsche 911 (to name just a handful). Ferrari presented the pair at its end-of-year Finali Mondiali event, which wraps up the various regional Ferrari Challenge series run around the world. This year's was held this weekend at the Mugello circuit in Italy. Last year's was in Abu Dhabi where the FXX K was revealed. The previous year's was also held at Mugello, where the current 458 Challenge Evoluzione was presented. The 2016 event is scheduled to be held in North America for the first time at Daytona the weekend of December 1-4, 2016. With the GTB, Spider, GTE, and GT3 variants now presented, the next step in the fleshing out of the 488 lineup will be to present the new Challenge racer for the company's own spec racing series.
