Up for auction is my Yellow/Black 1999 Ferrari 355 F-1 GTS Targa Top. I special ordered this car from Ferrari of Washington back in 1999. It was one of the last 355 F-1 GTS's imported to the US based on serial numbers. Its build date was March 1999. It was ordered with the daytona black leather seats with yellow stitching on the seats and dash. The roof is also color matched as well. All services have been done by Ferrari of Washington since day one. No accidents ever.
In 2010 at 9,000 miles the major service was done at Ferrari of Washington and so the engine came out. All seals and valve cover gaskets were replaced including the timing belt and tensioners. While that work was done FOW discovered that the original exhaust headers were cracked (very common issue) and needed replacing. I was not about to replace them with another set of the crappy originals. Instead, I replaced the entire exhaust system with aftermarket handbuilt FABSPEED stainless headers and high flow Cat Converters to match the TUBI muffler that was installed in 2005. In addition, carbon fiber air cleaner covers were put in to update the engine compartment (I still have the originals). I upgraded the original Bridgestone tires in 2006 to much sticker BFG rubber in a slighty wider size. They are still in great condition and show little wear.
This 355F1 has been in a heated and air conditioned garage its whole life and has never seen rain. The car is on its second clutch and it has approximately 1000 miles on it. The original clutch saw a lot of stop and go driving in traffic and it eventually glazed over requiring an original replacement from Ferrari of Washington. A new battery was installed last year and it is always on a trickle charger. It just had a recent oil change and fixed some sticky dash issues (very common).
This Ferrari has been very reliable and has never given me any issues or has ever leaked a drop of fluid. It is getting very hard to find these cars with low mileage selling from the original owner. Email me if you have any further questions.
Good Luck with the Bidding!

Ferrari stock sale pegged for October, or later
Sat, Jun 6 2015The Ferrari IPO is still coming, but it won't be before Columbus Day (Monday, October 12, that is), according to Fiat Chrysler Automobiles CEO Sergio Marchionne. The outspoken exec is blaming tax reasons for the fourth-quarter date, according to a report from Reuters. Marchionne said a full year needed to pass between FCA's October 13, 2014 Wall Street debut and any additional listing. This isn't the first delay in the Ferrari IPO. FCA was originally supposed to make a 10-percent offering of Ferrari during second or third quarter of 2015, before officially pushing things back to the third quarter of this year. Now, it's unclear if Ferrari will even go public before the dawn of 2016. One-off '65 Ferrari 330 Shark Nose for auction in Scottsdale
Mon, Dec 7 2015Russo and Steele has a unique Ferrari going up for auction next month in Scottsdale, AZ. The vehicle in question is a 1965 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 – the fastest grand touring Prancing Horse of its day – but fitted with a unique shark-nose front end. This one-of-a-kind Ferrari been comprehensively restored and has remained under American ownership since its creation. Chassis number 6,537 GT (with matching engine number) was delivered new by Ferrari's longtime North American importer Luigi Chinetti to John W. Mecom Jr. – a Texas oil baron, founding owner of the New Orleans Saints, noted car collector, and racing enthusiast. The Series I coupe arrived in a rare combination four-speed overdrive transmission and rare quadruple headlights, in dark blue with tan leather interior. Mecom subsequently had it sent back to Italy and fitted with the new front end you see here. The coachbuilt 330 was subsequently sold to owners in Georgia and Kentucky, and along the way was repainted in metallic red. The car disappeared into storage for many years before re-emerging in 2007. It then underwent a comprehensive restoration at Ferrari of Washington, where it was stripped and refinished in the original blue. The process also saw the interior reupholstered, the brightwork replated, and the original Borrani wheels fitted with fresh rubber. It has now been consigned to Russo and Steele to be auctioned in Scottsdale at the end of January. Ferrari 330s generally sell for much less than their 250-series predecessors, fetching prices in the hundreds of thousands – not millions. This particular auction house does not typically published pre-sale estimate figures, however when reached for comment by Autoblog, spokesman Darin Roberge revealed: "we expect this amazing, one of a kind automobile to cross six figures several times over." Highly Exotic, One Off 1965 Ferrari 330 GT "Shark Nose" with Important Ownership History to Cross the Block at Russo and Steele's 2016 Arizona Auction Event Scottsdale, Arizona (December 1st, 2015) – Combining avant-garde Pininfarina styling with outstanding V-12 performance, Ferrari's 330 GT 2+2 was a comfortable 2+2 model and while following in the footsteps of the prior 250 GTE 2+2, the 330 GT 2+2 upped the ante on performance and set new standards for comfortable, high-speed motoring pleasure for up to four with its 50-millimeter wheelbase extension.
LaFerrari design secrets explored at Ferrari museum
Thu, 01 Aug 2013For every finished vehicle design we see, there are probably hundreds of drawings and models that have long since been discarded. Housed in its own room inside the Ferrari Museum in Maranello, the LaFerrari has a unique exhibit that shows off some of the car's design evolution, and Autocar caught up with Ferrari design director Flavio Manzoni for an even deeper look at what went into creating this hybrid supercar.
In addition to the final product, the LaFerrari exhibit also reveals some of the designs that didn't make the cut - two of which made it to the full-size scale model phase, though. The display shows off five different designs (three from Ferrari and two from Pininfarina) that were in the running to become the final LaFerrari.
The interview with Manzoni even adds in some juicy bits of info, including news that one of the potential LaFerrari designs has been locked away and could resurface as a special, one-off model. Manzoni gets in a couple of good quotes while voicing his opposition of the current retro design language currently being used by some automakers, as well. Check it all out in the video below.
