1998 FERRARI F355 SPIDER, showroom condition in a very rare and desirable color combination of Titanium metallic over dark red interior with a black top and contrasting red Ferrari-Brembo brake calipers. The optional titanium paint was only offered on later model 355 Ferrari F355 (e.g., not available 1995-1996) and this is one of only 10 F355's make with the color combination of Grigio Titanio and red leather.

Lots of upgrades including $10,000 spent on upgraded 3-PIECE custom HRE wheels with substantially wider front and rear tires, a sweet sounding Capristo exhaust, Momo steering wheel (original wheel included), MACarbon carbon fibre door sills as well as upgraded OEM Ferrari disks and brakes. The car also has clear bra installed. The car also comes with a Challenge grill installed and the original (painted) grill included in the sale.

The major service engine-out service was completed in March 2012 at 21,400 miles.

The car comes with the original manuals, toolkit as well as the original Ferrari car and wheel cover.

It was meticulously maintained and garaged. The car was only been hand washed weekly and hand waxed every 3 months.

This is a stunning looking car that runs well. A great investment as the F355 is now at the bottom of its depreciation curve and, if you have been watching the market, they're now appreciating.

According to most all polls, the majority of Ferrari owners feel the F355 is the best looking of all the modern V8 Ferraris (360-430), at least until the $300,000 458.

Also important is the fact that this is a six speed. Ferrari is not making them anymore and you don't have to worry about a $14K hydraulic pump failing. There is NO comparison; the F1 in a 355 is not good.

Ferrari manufactured more than 13,000 360 Modenas while they produced just 2,664 F355 Spiders for the entire world. That's it. A total of just 2,664 Spiders. This rarity combined with its stellar reviews and that Formula 1 race car sound, assures the F355 of collector car status. It's not all that long ago Dinos were $30k. Now they're five to seven times that sum. Legendary racer Phil Hill said the F355 is one of the top ten Ferraris of all time.

Petrolicious gets super Seventies in a Ferrari Dino 208 GT4

Thu, 01 Aug 2013

The Ferrari Dino 308 GT4 was the automaker's first sports car with a V8 mounted amidships, and that formula quickly became the Italian automaker's bread and butter. The 308 in the name denotes a 3.0-liter V8, but for the Italian market, where a tax was imposed on cars with engines larger than two liters, Ferrari decided to de-bore the V8 to avoid the tax. Thus the 2.0-liter Dino 208 GT4 was born, and New York resident Bradley Price likes his 1976 model just the way it is.
Price initially was attracted to the Bertone-styled wedge because it "fit into the whole aesthetic of the space age and of the boundless possibility of [the late 1960s and 1970s]," he says in the Petrolicious video, adding that the opening scene of the original The Italian Job struck a chord with him, and the feeling never left. With 170 horsepower on tap, the 208 isn't very quick, but, in his opinion, it has a sweeter song than the bigger V8 and the driver-centric interior is one of his favorites.
Watch Price snake the original wedge through some East Coast back roads in the video below, and, just for kicks, we've also included the opening sequence of The Italian Job.

1954 Ferrari 375-Plus sells for record $18 million at Goodwood

Thu, 03 Jul 2014

Among all the action at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this past weekend, Bonhams held its classic car auction, bringing in a massive $38.4 million in sales. And this was undoubtedly the highlight.
Bearing the chassis number 0384 AM, this 1954 Ferrari 375-Plus has a storied racing history, competing that year in such events as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Mille Miglia and the Silverstone endurance race, where the late José Froilán Gonzalez drove it to victory. One of only five made, the 375 Plus packed a 4.9-liter V12 with 330 horsepower under aluminum barchetta bodywork by Pininfarina. It was subsequently owned by Kleenex scion Jim Kimberly, trading hands between owners on both sides of the Atlantic and was the subject of a legal dispute over its ownership four years ago.
With the dispute now resolved and after heated competition between two bidders, the Ferrari finally sold for £10.7 million, equivalent to $18.2 million at today's rates and accounting for nearly half of the day's sales totals. Other highlights included a 1902 De Dietrich 16-HP "Paris-Vienna" Rear-Entrance Tonneau and a a '75 Lamborghini Countach, each of which sold for around $1.7 million - the latter eclipsing the example that Bonhams also recently sold for $1.2 million.

Ferrari planning six-cylinder Dino revival?

Wed, Apr 8 2015

Ferrari swore up and down when it was developing the California that it wouldn't be an "entry-level" model. Whether that ultimately proved to be the case or not is up for debate, but it seems that the Prancing Horse marque is now preparing to launch a properly more accessible model in the near future. According to Motor Trend, Maranello is working on a new six-cylinder sports car to serve as the point of entry for new customers – especially in China. Tax implications there could mean the V6 would displace less than 3.0 liters, but likely pack a pair of turbochargers to ensure that output and performance live up to the Ferrari standard. Tipped to arrive in 2019, the six-cylinder model could materialize as a revival of sorts of the Dino line. Named after Enzo Ferrari's first-born son, the Dino sub-brand used mostly six-cylinder engines to take on the Porsche 911 on and off the track. The Dino 206 GT emerged in 1968, evolved into the larger-displacement 246 the following year and ultimately gave way to the very different, eight-cylinder, four-seat 308 GT4 in 1973, later to be rebadged as a proper Ferrari once the Dino brand was put to rest in '76. It's worth noting that Ferrari developed the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 for the Maserati Ghibli and Quattroporte, which would presumably serve as the basis for the new entry-level Ferrari. Though FCA typically endeavors to keep its brands from competing directly with one another, Maserati is due to release a production version of the Alfieri sports car concept within the next couple of years, powered by that same engine, and could share its underpinnings with the Ferrari model in question. The six-cylinder Prancing Horse could carry a price tag of around $180,000 to take on the likes of the Porsche 911 Turbo, Mercedes-AMG GT, Audi R8 and the Sports Series which McLaren just kicked off with its new entry-level 570S.
