1998 Ferrari 355 Tb 6spd. Coupe **two Owner Car And Same Owner For 14 Years** on 2040-cars
Wayne, Maine, United States
I purchased this beautiful 355 from the original owner in Florida back on 12/24/2000. I am the documented second owner and have owned this car for 14 years. It has always been a Florida since new until I brought to my summer home here in Maine back in 2008. It comes with a clear Florida title. It has always been registered and titled in the state of Florida. It was sold new by The Ferrari Collection in Coral Gables Florida on 10/22/97. Finished in the best and "only" color combination for a Ferrari, Rossa Corsa Red w/Tan Leather interior. The paint shines like the day it left the factory and it has never been in any accidents. I have the perfect Auto Check Report that I will gladly share with any serious bidders. The tan leather interior is also pristine only showing some very light wear on the driver's seat bolster. This car always been garaged so there are none of the dreaded "Ferrari stickies". This has always been a NON SMOKER'S car and there has never been any children or pets in this car. Always professionally maintained and serviced by the best Ferrari specialists and serviced at all of the recommended service intervals. I had the major cam belt serviced done on 2/12/08 with 13,264 miles. In addition, there was a new water pump and clutch kit including throw out bearing done at this time. All of the parts were purchased through Shelton Ferrari. The valve guides were not replaced because there was and still is no issue. There was also a new maintenance-free battery also installed. Shortly after I took ownership I had a Tubi Exhaust and factory Challenge grill installed. In addition to all of the scheduled maintenance, recent service items include new front rotors and pads, (4) new Michelin Pilot Sport tires, and an oil & filter change. This is one of the most reliable maintenance-free cars I have ever owned! Included with the car is all of the original owner's manuals with leather folders, tool kit, car cover, tire inflation kit, Ferrari battery maintainer, window sticker, original sales brochures, and three keys w/remotes. I will be glad to answer any additional questions and will be happy to assist with making shipping arrangements. I did get a quote from Exotic Car Transport from Maine to Florida for $1495 as an example. I will also pick you up at the Portland Maine Airport and you can enjoy a drive back home! This is a magnificent 355 that has been well cared for it's entire life. I have taken great pride in ownership and have thoroughly enjoyed every mile in this car.

Christopher Ward chrono has actual metal from a Ferrari 250 GTO
Thu, 07 Aug 2014We've seen watchmakers use all sorts of methods to make their timepieces more attractive to automotive enthusiasts, from carbon-fiber dials and titanium cases to the logos of partnering automakers and racing series. Some have even designed all-new watches to go with a specific make or model. But Christopher Ward has taken things a step further with its latest chronograph.
The new Christopher Ward C70 3527 GT chronometer eschews all the usual gimmicks and goes for a more interesting one: it actually includes in its construction metal taken from the restoration of a Ferrari 250 GTO - namely chassis number 3527 GT that belongs to one Irvine Laidlaw, a Scottish nobleman and one of the wealthiest individuals in the UK.
When Baron Laidlaw bought his GTO in 2005, he sent it in for a thorough restoration that involved replacing some corroded and damaged exterior body panels. The discarded metal was acquired by TMB Artmetal, which specializes in that sort of thing, and partnered with Christopher Ward to create this limited-edition timepiece. The metal was used to make the back plate on which the number 6 - in homage to 3527's iconic 6 GTO license plate - is etched by laser and placed under museum-grade sapphire crystal.
Tax The Rich goes slow-mo with a Ferrari F50
Thu, 05 Dec 2013What is it about slow-motion video that makes everything so much cooler? Whether it's as simple as slapshot during a hockey game or as complex as a hypercar, filming in slow motion adds a new sense of depth, technicality and beauty to the subject. That's especially true when the video in question includes a rare Ferrari F50 and the team from Tax The Rich.
One Autoblog staffer called it "mesmerizing" the first time he watched it, and we're certainly inclined to agree. The F50 has never been a very pretty car, but in this setting, it's somehow incredibly compelling, as it drifts around a corner and does donuts at an agonizingly slow pace. Scroll down for the entire video, and let us know what you think in Comments.
2016 Ferrari FF mule sounds super snarly in Fiorano testing
Wed, Jan 14 2015There are innumerable advantages to a company having its own test track on premises like Ferrari has with Fiorano. The Scuderia may not be able to test its Formula One machinery much on the track these days, what with the limitations placed by the FIA, but the factory can still use the circuit to wring out the road-going machinery it has under development – to say nothing of opportunities for visiting customers, journalists and VIPs. But it also means that the paparazzi know where to look to see what the company has in the works. In this case, supercar videographer extraordinaire Marchettino caught a Ferrari FF prototype running some hot laps around Fiorano. But to what end, exactly, we don't know. With the 458 expected to be updated shortly, the twelve-cylinder, four-seat, all-wheel-drive FF will soon be the oldest model in the company's lineup (introduced as it was in 2011), which would ostensibly put it next in line for a refresh. There've been rumors of a more elegant roofline to replace the hatchback, and even an eight-cylinder version to bring the model down-market slightly – although that might bring it too close to the California T. We'll have to wait and see what Ferrari has in store for its first and only all-wheel-drive model. But as you can hear for yourself in the video above, the exhaust sounds pretty raunchy, even by Maranello standards.
