1995 Ferrari F355b Berlinetta

Re-listed due to someone not reading the reading and comprehending the description!

Please read the entire ad!

First things first, the title... This F355 has a clean Oregon title. We have double checked with Oregon DMV and it is indeed 100% clean. However it was issued a branded title in the state of California in the late 90's. The car was then issued a branded title in the state of Kentucky. There was a mechanics lien placed on the car in the state of South Carolina and per order of a judge, a clean title was issued. The Carfax shows a branded title. If you were to title the car in California or Kentucky, you will receive a branded title. We are fairly certain that any other state will issue a clear title.

The F355 was the best selling Ferrari to its date and is known ushering Ferrari into the modern era of sports cars.  It was a redesign of the 348, but much more.  Ferrari may have started with a similar chassis, but that is where it all stops.  The F355 had an all-new engine, power steering, modern climate controls system, aerodynamics, and great fresh styling.   This car was quickly perceived to be greatest production Sports-Car of the 20th century.

This 355 was a trade in here at Speed Sports.  It is the coupe version known as the Berlinetta. 1995 was the last year prior to OBDII, with its eight individual throttle bodies it produced the most HP at 385 hp.  The all-new engine featured 5 valve heads with exotic metals and design.  This car is a very strong runner, a testament of the new Ferrari commitment to quality and performance sports cars.

Our car is a Black on Black Coupe that has 45,455 miles on it.  This car had the belts  last changed about 5 years ago.  It will need a major service by the next owner.  It is an excellent driver and has lots of power.  It does have the updated headers and Tubi exhaust system for the ultimate exhaust note.  While this car has not been a garage queen, it will provide lots of miles of enjoyment. It has had some paint work and does have a bit of a story that goes with it.  It does have a clean title from this event, and documentation to go along with this. Please read the first paragraph of the description again if you have any questions.

It comes with some service records.  The car is great driver, with no drivability issues.  Brakes and rotors were recently replaced and we did an oil/filter service on the car.  It has one key, manuals, leather pouch, and tool kit, but missing some tools. We have photographed the car extensively, including the underside and motor compartment. Please make sure that you look through all 125 photos.

You are welcome to have the car inspected prior to the end of auction.

Feel free to call or email with any additional questions.

Topiary Joe sculpts the ultimate in green cars

Sat, Mar 15 2014

Efficient cars are all the rage these days, but Joe Kyte has made a business of crafting some of the coolest green cars around – literally. Kyte is better known by his nickname Topiary Joe, and in addition to being a talented artist, he is also a real gearhead. Kyte has been creating topiaries for the last 20 years. It began when he was marketing greenhouse products to Walt Disney World and saw their plant sculptures. He realized that he could do that and since then, has done around 3,400 pieces. His most intriguing creations are the rolling sculptures that move and turn. Prices for those start at about $18,000 and can be as high as $30,000. While, the wheels are machine-bent, Kyte said all the other parts are done with a table vice and a Lincoln Electric arc welder. Topiary Joe is taking the Porsche (pictured above) to Palm Beach later this year to sell or says he may donate it to Porsche North America. If you really want it, the sculpture is currently on Craigslist for sale for $24,000. Topiary Joe has also had a life-long love of cars. "I was driving my first MG Midget before I was 14," he told Autoblog. He grew up in Oak Ridge, TN, where the Manhattan Project was partially developed. He says the town was full of recent college grads driving Mercedes, and he caught the bug. His automotive mentor was a nuclear physicist who taught him to repair and restore the Mercs. Kyte has completed commissions for Sandals Resort, Dreamworks, Absolut, and many more. Among his favorite creations is the Ferrari that he created at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix that is now exhibited at the airport each year before the race. Check out his website for a wider look at his work.

Autoblog Minute: New Civic, FCA UAW Agreement, Frankfurt

FCA reaches a tentative agreement with the UAW, Honda reveals the all-new 2016 Civic, and the Frankfurt Motor Show dazzles us again. Autoblog senior editor Greg Migliore reports on the Weekly Recap edition of Autoblog Minute. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] FCA reaches a tentative agreement with the UAW, Honda reveals the all-new 2016 Civic, and the Frankfurt Motor Show dazzles us again. I'm senior editor Greg Migliore and this is your Autoblog Minute Weekly Recap. FCA reached a tentative labor agreement with UAW leadership. The major focus of the new deal reportedly includes: the eventual elimination of the two-tier pay scale [00:00:30] and pooling worker health care. Now that a leadership agreement is in place, the deal will be sent to FCA's rank-and-file. FCA has about 36,000 hourly employees. We got a first look at the interior and exterior of the 10th-generation Civic. Honda expects the new sedan to dominate the C-segment when it hits dealerships later this fall. Civic coupe, five-door hatchback, Si and Type R will all come later. The 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show is in the books and there was a lot of news to get excited about. [00:01:00] Porsche introduced a fully electric concept car in the Mission E. If they make this car, Porsche could give Tesla nightmares. We also saw SUVs from Jaguar and Bentley. There were two beautiful Italian convertibles from Ferrari and Lamborghini. Meanwhile, Mercedes introduced a concept of their own in the IAA - a vehicle that experiments with adaptable aerodynamics. Those are the highlights from the week that was. Be sure to check out my full recap this Saturday. Plus we'll have some added insight on General Motors' deal to [00:01:30] avoid federal prosecution. For Autoblog, I'm Greg Migliore. Autoblog Minute is a short-form video news series reporting on all things automotive. Each segment offers a quick and clear picture of what's happening in the automotive industry from the perspective of Autoblog's expert editorial staff, auto executives, and industry professionals. Despite early struggles, Ferrari F1 still has Mercedes in its sights

Mon, May 9 2016

It would be an understatement to say that Ferrari has not had the opening to the 2016 Formula 1 season that it had hoped for. Having come in to the new campaign brazen about wanting a winning start, that Mercedes has taken all the poles and all race victories so far has come as a disappointment. There have been other headaches too – including reliability problems for both Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel, and of course the points lost with the China/Russia incidents with Daniil Kvyat. But perhaps of more concern is that the trend of performance has not pointed towards a narrowing of the gap between Mercedes and Ferrari – as the Silver Arrows advantage seemed greater than it had been any point this season in Russia. So with the results against it, and it seemingly having no response in pace terms, the cynics are already suggesting that it is game over for Ferrari's 2016 title ambitions. But that is not how Maranello itself sees the situation: and it still has reason to believe not only that there is plenty to play for this season: but that it can take the fight to Mercedes. Pressure game Ferrari is well aware that it needs to quickly make up lost ground in both championship standings (Mercedes has more than double its point haul) and pace terms. But rather than be downbeat about what has happened, team principal Maurizio Arrivabene still senses opportunities: especially with Mercedes appearing to be on the edge in reliability terms. And it this area that he thinks needs to be exploited to give Ferrari the opening it needs. "If you have before you a team that has won four races out of four, you cannot but take note that they are very strong," he said after the Russian Grand Prix. "But if we look at what happened to [Lewis] Hamilton [with engine problems in qualifying], we see that they also have had reliability problems. "We must put pressure on them. That is our first goal. "All their problems have happened on a single car, while ours have happened on both. But there are still 17 races to go, that is something worth emphasising, so there time to make up the difference." Power battle Ferrari introduced an upgraded engine at the Russian Grand Prix that it hoped would lift it closer to Mercedes in the power stakes. But the weekend appeared to show that wasn't the case, with Mercedes' advantage on the Sochi circuit – the fourth most power-sensitive venue on the calendar – appearing bigger than ever.
