Ferrari Spyder 1995 Canna Di Fucile Metalizato (gunmetal Grey) With Tan Interior on 2040-cars
Coronado, California, United States
This car is a 9 out of 10. The color is great - very good looking car.
I bought the car a couple years ago and have driven it maybe 500 miles. I bought it from a local guy that I know who had this car & a newer 360. He bought the car from Bobileff Motors. See info on this shop at bobieff website At 18800 miles there was a fresh engine out service with belts done. They have the records on the car for services. I am selling because I just don't drive it enough so it sits in the garage covered. I had the itch to have a Ferrari and have had a fun good experience. This car is plenty fast and sounds great! The only cosmetic issue with car was rock chips on the lower front bumper cowling. I recently had the Ferrari Dealers body shop replace this fiberglass cowling, paint and apply a clear wrap material to protect future damage. All work done by West Coast Specialties in San Diego with factory parts & paint. Looks new really cleans up the car. This was $14K worth of work. There is a skid plate under this new work to protect against cracking in the future. Tires are 75% tread - wheels in good shape. Interior leather all in great condition. All tools & bag Ferrari cover Newer top This is a great car to get your feet wet with Ferrari. A classic design - fun convertible. 1995 is the last year before Ferrari went computer driven. So the maintenance & parts are less expensive on this car than the newer models. |

Maranello cracks down on rent-a-Ferrari rackets
Mon, Dec 7 2015A crackdown by policy makers in Maranello, Italy, means that visitors to Ferrari's headquarters and museum can't as easily experience the brand's famously sonorous engines for themselves. Several businesses in the city had rented the Prancing Horse's sports cars to tourists for brief drives, but the screaming powerplants got on locals' nerves enough to force new rules to curtail these joyrides. According to CNBC citing an Associated Press report, the various rental businesses had 37 Ferraris and offered a variety of packages to tourists. For example, a 10-minute drive in a F430 Spider was as inexpensive as 80 euros ($87 at current rates). The drivers wanted to get the most from their brief time at the wheel and often sped around the city. While there were no major accidents from the vehicles, the local cops still pulled over 450 of these folks through the first nine months of 2015. The new legislation in Maranello and Fiorano limits the times the test drives can happen and bans the companies from luring customers outside of the Ferrari museum. "We have lost 80 percent of business," the owner of one of these firms said in the report. The rental agencies already challenged the measures in court but lost. It doesn't offer quite the same experience, but Ferrari fans can still get the occasional earful from the brand's engines by staking out the Fiorano test track. We often see the company's future and sometimes classic models there making wonderful noises. Ferrari 488 Spider configurator is just in time for summer
Mon, Apr 11 2016The weather is just starting to show signs of being nice enough for open-top driving, which makes it a perfect time to configure a Ferrari 488 Spider. The configurator lets you select every aspect of your future Ferrari, and that means this Prancing Horse will fully let you express your own personality. In this case, you can spec out the 488 Spider as a track monster with a plethora of carbon fiber parts, or if you want more of a grand tourer, there are options like electric seats and the choice to alter practically every part's color. Unfortunately, none of the selections come with a price, so there's no way to know how much the gold metallic paint for the brake calipers adds to the bottom line. It's fun to dream, though. Mechanically, the 488 Spider is identical to its coupe sibling. The engine is a 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 with 661 horsepower and 560 pound-feet of torque. A seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox sends that muscle to the rear wheels. The droptop can reach 62 miles per hour in 3.2 seconds, just a few tenths off the coupe, and the Spider's top speed is 203 miles per hour. As for the final number for those who love tracking every bit of performance with a stopwatch: the roof hides away in a scant 14 seconds. Related Video:
Ferrari 458 Speciale Spider will make Paris debut
Wed, 17 Sep 2014The news out of Ferrari is coming nearly as fast as its wonderful sports cars, as of late, with CEO Luca di Montezemolo stepping down and a special model for America upcoming. Now, it's looking increasingly likely that the 458 Speciale Spider is making its world debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show in early October, confirming earlier rumors.
Di Montezemolo had already confirmed that the Prancing Horse would unveil a new car in Paris, but exactly which model it would be had been a mystery. However, an unnamed Ferrari insider has recently confirmed to 4WheelNews that it would be the droptop Speciale.
As the name suggests, the special model takes the sonorous 4.5-liter V8 engine from the 458 Speciale with 597 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque and drops it into the convertible hardtop from the Spider. According to the source, the special Ferrari is also getting new wheels, stripes and seats, but the folding top might mean losing the coupe's transparent engine cover.
