1994 Ferrari 348 Spider - Private Sale on 2040-cars
Concord, New Hampshire, United States
This is my 1994 Ferrari 348 Spider but it could be yours! One of the most affordable Ferraris and will not be mistaken for anything other than a Ferrari. Although some non-car folks might mistake it for a Testarossa at least even they recognize it as a Ferrari and true piece of art.
If you’re looking at other Ferrari’s you’re either looking for something newer with a minimum of $20K extra to burn or something older with designs originating in the late 1970’s. Many might look at comparably priced cars like an Aston Martin or Maserati but those simply are not as fun or turn heads like this car (= less of a smile for you L). Car is really low looking with top down and rear is very wide and hard to appreciate from looking at PICs only.
This Spider convertible is done up in classic red on black leather. I use the car nearly every week in the summer (dry days only) here in the North East and have never had a problem with it, very reliable compared to earlier cars. Miles on the car are not those or a garage queen with dried up seals or a higher miles highway car. I have a hard time judging “out of 10” quality but I can tell you there are no dings, few chips, and interior is in great shape. Just look at many cars and leather is pulling from the doors where it is bonded and curves in, not here. A couple wheels have a little curb rash on the edge. Inside the front bonnet and in the engine bay are clean. No stick parts like door handles. Top is in great shape and comes with a quick on and off cover when parking in the sun. Includes tool kit, tools, books, and many records. There are plenty of PICs just look at them in detail.
I recently put on new rear tires (recommended / stock brand size). Car runs with Mobil 1 full synthetic and Red Line gear lube. Clutch does not slip (changes by previous owner) & major 30K service was done at 26K. Car runs, drives, and sounds great. Car is very stiff for a convertible and handles like a dream being the last without power steering (handles like a go-cart). Clean title, no accidents, and dry. Not much more I can say without blathering on. If you want to know more about these cars, how they sound at high RPM’s etc. just look at online videos etc.
If interested (bidding) just let me know if you have any specific questions, want a specific PIC, or if you’re within driving distance I suggest you see the car for yourself. I’m not a dealer and just like cars like you so ask away and bid with confidence! |

Ferrari planning sleeker FF coupe?
Thu, 10 Apr 2014There are a lot of things you could call the Ferrari FF. Innovative, advanced, pioneering, ponderous... beautiful may not be one of them, though. Because while it does pack Ferrari's first all-wheel drive system, it doesn't pack it into a very pretty shape, alternately described as a chopped shooting brake or stretched hatchback. Word has it, though, that Ferrari is working on a solution.
That solution, according to Car and Driver, would be to chop it down into an FF coupe. Apparently separate from the SP FFX project that ultimately emerged as a one-off, this rebody could potentially solve the FF's stylistic shortcomings and attract more buyers, while retaining the 6.3-liter V12 engine that drives 651 prancing horses to all four wheels. But here's where it gets tricky: if Ferrari simply sloped the roofline and got rid of the rear seats, the finished product would end up precariously close to the F12 Berlinetta, albeit with an extra set of driven wheels.
We'd sooner guess that Maranello would lengthen the form slightly to keep the rear seats, add a trunk and give it a more graceful profile, though the elongated form of the preceding 612 Scaglietti strikes us as what Ferrari was trying to get away from with the FF in the first place. And guessing is as good as we've got at this point, as our attempts to get more from Ferrari PR resulted in a sad (if predictable) "no comment."
FCA is setting a five-year strategy: Here's how the last one played out
Thu, May 31 2018We're slightly more than four years removed from Sergio Marchionne last five-year plan for FCA, a tell-all where the Italian-American automaker divulged its plans for the 2014 through 2018 model years. It was a grand affair, where Sergio told FCA investors that all was right in Auburn Hills, Alfa Romeo and Maserati were making comebacks, and the fifth-gen Dodge Viper received a mid-cycle refresh. You can read every last one of those past predictions right here. We're on our way to Europe to see Sergio's sequel, coming out Friday straight from FCA's Italian headquarters. (Bloomberg reports a plan to expand Jeep and Ram globally, combine Alfa Romeo and Maserati into a single division for an eventual spinoff, and downsizing Fiat and Chrysler. Also, EVs.) But before we arrive in Italy and find out exactly what Marchionne has planned for 2019 through 2023 as his last act as CEO, let's take a minute to tally up the results of his last term based on the same scoresheet we used in 2014. Now, we're only five months into 2018, so much of this — including vehicles like the Ram HD and Jeep Grand Wagoneer — could still debut this year. For those, we'll mark things TBD. We're not going to draw any conclusions or make any objectionable remarks. We're simply going to let the stats speak for themselves.
Aston Martin hires Ferrari's 'key guys' to challenge 488 GTB
Fri, Oct 6 2017Aston Martin is wasting no time in its aggressive product rollout, and it's putting Ferrari and other supercar makers on notice. At the recent launch of the DB11 V8 in Catalonia, Spain, we caught up with Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer. The Aston chief gave us new details on plans for a mid-engine car to go up against the Ferrari 488 GTB, the McLaren 720S and the Lamborghini Huracan. Palmer says Aston has harnessed a great deal of learning from the $3 million Valkyrie hypercar and plans to apply that to its next mid-engine car, slated to land sometime in 2020 or so. As indicated in part of our conversation below, design plans for that car are developing quickly. Autoblog: You said there will be a forthcoming mid-engine sports car. I still think the Ferrari 488 GTB is one of the best I've driven. How do you compete with that? Andy Palmer: "Well, I agree with you. That's the best car in its segment. And we're going to take it on. And I realize the gravity of that statement, of what that means." AB: So how do you take on the 488 GTB? AP: "Well, to start with, you recruit from Ferrari the head of body structures, and the head of powertrains. I've now got three of Ferrari's key guys. And really, it's a big compliment to Ferrari. That's the defining car in its segment, and it's really, really good. And those three guys now work for me. And you combine those guys with Nick [Lines, chief planning officer, Aston Martin] and Marek [Reichman, chief creative officer, Aston Martin] who you know really well, and you create some great recipes. And now I've got a better understanding of what that car looks like." AB: How far along is that car? Is there a clay model already? AP: "Yeah, there's clay. There's actually eight quarter-scales. And there's one in particular that I'm leaning toward. We've got it pushed out; it's gone to a second studio in Milton Keynes. That studio is different from Gaydon. And I've got a pretty good idea of what the replacement for the 488 is going to be like as well. So, if we're going in that market, we need to be ahead of the 488. And there's no naivete about what that means." View 16 Photos One of the recruits Palmer is referring to is Max Szwaj, former head of innovation and body structures at Ferrari and Maserati. Szwaj has been named vice president and chief technical officer in his new role in Gaydon.
