Photographer streaks Ferrari California T in glow-in-the-dark paint

Swiss photographer Fabian Oefner is known for splashing paint and deconstructing cars to create beautiful and unique images. Like Ferrari, Oefner combines art, design and science in his creations. So he was a natural choice when the automaker began looking for a unique way to introduce the2015 Ferrari California T to the world. After taking the California T for a test drive, Oefner wanted to convey the feeling of the swift 553-horsepower vehicle, according to PetaPixel. Oefner scaled up his past experiments with color and blasted $190,000 the sports car with gallons of UV activated paint. By doing it in a wind tunnel with nothing but UV lights blazing down on the car, he hoped to capture the quickness of the California T while the car itself remained motionless. The resulting video is astonishing. The Ferrari looks as if it's being pulled out of the darkness by brilliant rivers of glowing color. Chevy ad compares Spark EV with Ferrari 458 Italia

Chevrolet's new commercial for the 2014 Spark EV emphasizes the little hatchback's performance over pretty much everything else, and it even goes as far as to compare it to a Ferrari 458 Italia. That's right, the electric bubble is pitched in the commercial as having a higher torque figure than the Ferrari - and it does, with a massive 400 pound-feet ready to be unleashed.
That doesn't translate into a quicker car, however, as the 458's V8 with 570 horsepower and not-exactly-quaint 398 lb-ft gives it a 0-60 time of 3.0 seconds compared to the Spark EV's 7.6-second run.
"We think the fun-to-drive element is an area for us to differentiate ourselves," Sam Basile, executive chief engineer for GM's global minicars and emerging-market vehicles, told Automotive News.

In what must have looked and sounded to motorists on the M6 like an invasion of The Swarm, a parade of 50 enthusiast gems leaving a charity event were caught shooting down the on-ramp and merging into traffic. There were plenty of Porsches joining the 959 and Ducktail above, Aston Martins going back to the badboy V8 of the last millennium, a Ferrari Testarossa, a TVR and numerous other Easter eggs.
