1987 Ferrari 328 Leather on 2040-cars
Fresno, California, United States
This spectacular Ferrari 328 GTS is finished in its original factory color of Grigio (charcoal grey) over its
original factory red leather interior. The color combination is simply stunning.
Today, this exceptional Ferrari 328 GTS presents in outstanding condition. It has never been in an accident. The
paint is beautiful, the interior is gorgeous and everything from the original matching numbers 3.2 liter V8 engine
(with 270 horsepower and 231 lb-ft of torque) to the original 5-speed transmission work perfectly – as though the
car had just rolled off the assembly line. Within the last 90 days, a full engine out, major service was completed
by Ferrari Technologies ensuring that this 328 GTS performs as well as it presents. It also sports a nearly new set
of Michelin tires.
The interior was further refined with revised door panels and more modern switch assemblies in the center console
to compliment the now modern exterior. Displacement in the transversely mounted DOHC V8 engine was increased to 3.2
liters which resulted in 270 horsepower at 7000 RPM. The mid-mounted fully synchronized 5-speed manual gearbox was
carried over from the 328’s predecessor and featured Ferrari’s iconic gated shifter. With such refinements, but
still staying true to the timeless lines of the 308, the 328 GTS received worldwide acclaim upon its debut

Scuderia Ferrari dreams up the F1 car of the future
Tue, Feb 17 2015Formula One is in for a big shakeup, at least if all the parties can agree on a way forward at a meeting of the F1 commission today in Geneva. And this is the way Ferrari apparently hopes things will go. Dreamt up by the design department in Maranello, this concept represents Ferrari's vision for the F1 car of the future. Its got far more streamlined aerodynamics, a two-tier front wing, a much larger rear wing, and wheels that are still "open" but far more enveloped than anything we've seen to date, wrapped in low-profile tires like those proposed by Pirelli. The cockpit is still open as well, contrary to proposals to enclose them, with a conceptual helmet design that seems to meld into the bodywork – though we're not quite sure how that would be implemented, practically speaking. It's a pretty striking design, especially compared to the oddball shapes to which modern grand prix racers have evolved over recent years, with all their fragile appendages. Actually putting this into practice, though, is another matter entirely. Both McLaren and Red Bull were said to have shown their own evolutionary designs to the F1 strategy group, though they didn't release theirs to the public. This pie-in-the-sky proposal from Ferrari looks a bit closer to some of the radical, futuristic designs penned by Red Bull for Gran Turismo. Xcar goes analog with the Ferrari F40
Tue, 16 Sep 2014We will forever be in love with the Ferrari F40. From its blunt-force appearance to its 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine living and breathing perilously close to the driver's head, the F40, the last model designed and built with input from Enzo Ferrari himself, has been and likely always will be the Ferrari of Ferraris for automotive enthusiasts who grew up in the 1980s.
All of this raises an interesting question: is the Ferrari F40 the best supercar of all time? A case can certainly be made, and after watching - and, just as importantly, listening to - all 17 minutes of blood-red Italian glory from Xcar, you're going to have to try long and hard to convince us that anything could be sweeter than this particular Prancing Horse.
Watch the video above, aptly titled Analogue Animal. You owe it to yourself. So go ahead, sit back, turn up your speakers and click play.
Sebastian Vettel to leave Infiniti Red Bull at end of 2014
Sat, 04 Oct 2014Things are going to look very different in the Formula 1 paddock come 2015. Official word came down from Infiniti Red Bull Racing that Sebastian Vettel, who won four driver's titles while with the energy-infused fizzy drink and marketing company, will be leaving the team after the 2014 season comes to an end. Taking Vettel's well-worn seat at Red Bull will be Daniil Kvyat, who will join Daniel Ricciardo for 2015. Feel free to read that official announcement below.
While no official announcement has yet been made, rumors swirl that Sebastian Vettel will drive for Ferrari in 2015, taking the place of Fernando Alonso, who many believe will end up at McLaren, which itself is in line for a major driver and team shakeup next year as it switches to Honda power. It's not clear where the rest of the current crop of F1 drivers will land, but as this first blockbuster domino falls into place, expect the rest to fall in line in the coming weeks and months.
