Ashland, Missouri, United States
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED EMAIL ME AT: kurtispippenger@netzero.net . 1982 Ferrari 308 GTSI with 34k original miles and an impeccable maintenance history! 100+ photos & video located
below! Please feel free to share this listing with anyone you know. Who knows, it could very well be someone's
dream car!
This Ferrari was purchased by the current owner in 1988 with only 11k miles on it. This is by far the most
well documented 308 you will find within the market place. It has been meticulously maintained by the same
professional hands since 1988. The recommended 30k mile service was performed on the Ferrari at 21k miles and then
again at 29.5k miles. Over 18k has been spent on the Ferrari just within the last five years. There are two
extremely reputable outfits who have maintained this vehicle over the course of his twenty seven year ownership.
Autodino & Bob Hindson Racing.
The current owner is an avid car guy who is not only thorough but he is someone who has a very deep love and
admiration for all collector cars. This Ferrari has been the corner stone of his collection for quite some time and
I can tell you that no expense has ever been spared during the course of his ownership. Every bit of work that has
ever been done to this vehicle, was done by professional hands. This car has never seen rain nor snow. It has been
kept indoors in a climate controlled garage for the past twenty eight years. If you're a fan of the 308's, I can
assure you that you will not find a better quality survivor vehicle then this one.
Within this Ferrari you will find all of its original equipment such as the Targa Top as well as it's original
tool bag. All VIN stampings through out the Ferrari correlate with one another. Cosmetically, she is absolutely
stunning. Mechanically she is astonishing. She has zero mechanical issues. Owning this Ferrari is about as close as
one can come to being able to travel through time. So if you would like to see what it was like to drive a 308 off
of the showroom floor in 1982, this is your opportunity.
This Ferrari needs nothing. I will be evaluating all reasonable offers and I will in fact sell the Ferrari
early as I do have it for sale "locally".

Ferrari seeks review of Canadian Grand Prix penalty decision
Tue, Jun 18 2019Ferrari has asked for a review of the stewards' decision that cost Sebastian Vettel victory in the Canadian Grand Prix, a team spokesperson said on Monday. Vettel finished first in the race in Montreal on June 9 but lost the win after a five-second time penalty for going off track and returning in what stewards deemed to be an unsafe fashion. Mercedes' Formula One championship leader Lewis Hamilton was declared the winner instead. Significant and relevant new evidence that was not available at the time is required for a team to submit a 'right of review' under article 14 of the governing FIA's International Sporting Code. The spokesperson said Ferrari, who last week dropped a planned protest against the penalty, had formally requested the review but gave no further details "due to the sensitivity of the matter." Stewards will now have sole discretion to determine whether such a significant and relevant new element existed, with their decision final. If the review is deemed admissible, a secondary hearing will be held. Mercedes has won all seven races so far this season, and the last nine in total, with Britain's five-time world champion Hamilton now 29 points clear of Finnish teammate Valtteri Bottas in the standings. Vettel, who was furious with a decision that caused an immediate controversy, is 62 points adrift of Hamilton. Formula One holds its eighth race of the 21 round season in the south of France this weekend at Le Castellet circuit, where the penalty is likely to remain a major talking point. The Williams team requested a right of review last season against a three-place grid penalty handed to Russian driver Sergey Sirotkin, arguing that significant and relevant new elements had emerged. Stewards unanimously rejected the move. Motorsports Ferrari Mercedes-Benz Racing Vehicles F1 Lewis Hamilton Sebastian Vettel
As the iconic Ferrari F40 turns 30, a look back at its development
Fri, Jul 21 2017July 21, 2017 marks the 30th anniversary, to the day, of the Ferrari F40's debut. The F40 is easily one of the greatest Ferraris ever produced: It was one of the first road cars to have a top speed of 200 mph, it celebrated the company's 40th anniversary, and it was the very last model that founder Enzo Ferrari was able to see to completion. To celebrate this historic car's anniversary, Ferrari collected some anecdotes from people who worked on the F40 project, and they reveal some interesting details about the car's development. Among these details was the timeframe for creating the car. Ermanno Bonfiglioli, Head of Special Projects at Ferrari at the time, said that the car was developed in just 13 months. That means everything from the styling to the engine were taken from an idea to a production car in barely over a year. The engine wasn't quite a from-scratch design, though, since it was based on the unreleased 288 GTO Evoluzione's 650-horsepower engine, but it still received many updates to become the 487-horsepower engine we know today. Bonfiglioli highlighted the engine's weight savings due to using magnesium for the oil sump, cylinder head covers, intake manifold, and transmission bellhousing. It was after driving one of those 288 GTO Evoluziones that Pininfarina designer Leonardo Fiorvanti learned about Enzo Ferrari's plan for the F40. He said that after telling Enzo his thoughts on the 288, Enzo told him he wanted to make a "true Ferrari." Fiorvanti also revealed that everyone, including Enzo, knew this would be the last car for the founder. From what Ferrari test driver Bario Benuzzi said about the F40, it certainly didn't start out as a "true Ferrari." He said, "The handling of the first prototypes were poor." But in the short development time, the F40 became the car Enzo wanted, and Benuzzi credits plenty of downforce and the light, stiff chassis. It didn't make the car easy to drive, though. Benuzzi said, "With no power steering, power brakes or electronic devices, it demands the skill and commitment of the driver, but generously repays it with a unique driving experience." Final Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta sells for $10 million
Mon, Sep 11 2017All Ferraris are expensive, but some are more expensive than others. The Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta is the current king of the mountain, with just 209 examples built, at least so far. A few weeks ago, the Italian automaker announced it would be building one last example, putting the total production number at 210. The car went up for auction this past weekend, and, with a final sale price of about $10 million, the car more than doubled the initial estimates of $3.5 million to $4.7 million. What's a few more million if it's all going to charity? The LaFerrari Aperta is basically the open-top version of the standard LaFerrari. The 210th example was built to celebrate Ferrari's 70th anniversary as an automaker. We're not sure that the owner of the 209th model will be too happy that their car is slightly less special, but we're sure they can drown their sorrows with a screaming V12. The 210th model will wear a special livery that's basically a few white stripes over classic Ferrari-red paint. $10 million is a lot of dough for a car that hasn't actually been built yet. Technically, the winning builder bought the rights to the 210th car, not the car itself. According to Autoweek, all proceeds from the auction will benefit Save the Children, an organization that helps disadvantaged children around the world. The LaFerrari Aperta just beat out this gorgeous 1 959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider by Scaglietti that sold for $9.5 million.
