2010 Srt Dodge Viper Acr Laguna Seca Edition 1:33 Rare Car Warranty 600hp V10 It on 2040-cars
Muskegon, Michigan, United States
Up for sale is my 2010 Dodge Viper ACR. This is the 1:33 Laguna Seca
edition. Obviously hate to put this thing up for sale but somethings in
life are more important. If you want a more specific reason why I am
selling feel free to contact me and I will be more then happy to
discuss. This is a rare among rare cars. Information about the car:
-2010 Dodge Viper ACR Laguna Seca 1:33 -All factory -Car is #6 out of 33. A few have been sold to other countries and some have been totaled. -Tires about 50% and in good shape (Michelin Sport Cups) -39,000 miles. I will be driving the car when weather permits so it will change. -Covered under factory warranty until June of 2014 (Additional warranty can be purchased for around $2,500 and covers the car bumper to bumper. Dodge has a great backing on their warranty) -Optional extended warranty can be had for extra money through Chrysler. Email for details. -Lowest price Gen 4 ACR around. -Deemed one of the last “pure” Vipers to be built -The car runs amazing and has been completely gone through. -All new fluids September of 2013 -Had the car in for maintenance after I recently purchased and had several new parts installed including: -Clutch, Master and Slave cylinders, Flywheel, bearing, instrument cluster (had ABS code stuck inside), sun visors, rear view mirror, both rear wheel bearings, oil lines, rear upper control arms, rear end completely rebuilt, RR half shaft, stabilizer link and front tie rods. Of course not all of this was 100% necessary to be done however if it was even close to out of spec we had it changed. I planned on keeping this car and using so we wanted to make it 100% right. I wouldn’t hesitate to drive this car anywhere. This is the 4th Viper I’ve owned and by far the best car ever built. If your not familiar with the ACR Viper they have a list up upgrades including front and rear carbon fiber splitters and canards, KW adjustable suspension, 2 piece stoptech rotors with racing pads, lightweight sidewinder wheels, race tires, and under body panels to keep better air flow and aero. This car is a 600hp monster and is basically a street legal race car. Even after owning as many Viper’s as I have had nothing gets attention like this car. The overall condition of the car is great. Yes it does have a few miles which is really nothing to me considering I purchased the car to drive. These cars are built to last and easy go 100-200K miles with standard maintenance. Yes it does have some minor blemishes but you can buy the car and really use it. If you’re looking for a garage nick-nac this probably isn’t the car for you. Only real “damage” do the car is some marks on the front lower splitter and some small chips that I had touched up. Nothing crazy and I will be more then happy to show pictures of what ever was needed. I am a very accessible person. Feel free to call, email or text. -Tim 231-215-3242 Below is information from the factory regarding the car: This edition of the car is to commemorate the record setting lap at Laguna Seca: The 2010 Dodge Viper ACR makes a return as Laguna Seca Lap King today, setting a blistering production car lap record of just 1:33.91 (as recorded by Motech in-vehicle data recorder, 1:33.94 as unofficially recorded by trackside clock) that knocks more than 1 full second off the previous lap record. MT Editor-in-Chief Angus MacKenzie is at the scene and reports that the time was set by SRT vehicle dynamics engineer Chris Winkler, a 20-year Chrysler veteran. Also information regarding the lemon buy back. This isn't something that worried myself upon purchase of the car. The car was turned in a few times due to air bag, window reg and rear end noise issues. From my research the dealership working on the car hadn't a clue what they were doing. Once I purchased the car I had it sent to my Viper tech here in MI. Upon his inspection we notice several corners were cut and repairs not done up to spec. My mechanic went through the car with a fine tooth comb and everything has been sorted out. I have put almost 2,000 miles on the car since repairs and it's in top notch shape and will definitely last someone a very long time worry free. That car as listed above has had over $10K in parts installed in just the past few months. That's parts only not factoring in labor. Email, message or call if you would like to further discuss. I believe the car is priced accordingly given the history. |

Ford, Chrysler and Mazda expand scope of Takata airbag recalls
Fri, Dec 5 2014The scope of the Takata airbag inflator recall is ballooning once again across the United States. Where Honda has elected to take its driver-side airbag campaign nationwide, Chrysler Group and Ford have now announced expanded regional actions to cover some passenger-side airbag inflators. Mazda is adding more regions, as well. For Chrysler Group, the campaign covers the inflators on 149,150 examples of the 2003-model-year Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickups. The recall is limited to vehicles sold or ever registered in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas and the territories of American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, Saipan, and the Virgin Islands. The company will begin notifying affected customers on January 19. According to Chrysler's announcement of the action, the passenger side inflators in these trucks "are of a type that is not used in any of the other vehicles affected by Chrysler Group's regional field action." The automaker says that it's not aware of any actual failures or accidents in these pickups and even claims there are no "observed failures in laboratory testing of its airbag modules." The company is continuing to study the problem, though. Ford is taking a similar step by issuing a recall of inflators for 38,500 examples of the 2004-2005 Ranger and 2005-2006 Ford GT. The campaign only affects vehicles originally sold or ever registered in Florida, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. Certain zip codes of Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Guam, Saipan and American Samoa are also covered. There's already precedent for passenger-side airbags to be covered under the Takata inflator recall. When many automakers announced campaigns in June, BMW, Chrysler, Ford, Honda, Mazda, Nissan and Toyota all included that side in some of their repairs. Subaru subsequently did, as well. In addition, Mazda is expanding the scope of its recall to add Florida, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Saipan, Guam, American Samoa, US Virgin Islands, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas to the affected areas. The company estimates that it has a total of 86,773 vehicles in need of repair. Mazda is also teaming with Toyota to begin independent testing of the Takata inflators. Scroll down to read all of the automakers' announcements of these newly expanded recalls. Statement: Air-Bag Inflators December 3, 2014 , Auburn Hills, Mich.
Mopar unveils Dodge Challenger Drag Pak [w/video]
Sat, Jun 27 2015Dodge is going drag racing, and it's doing it with an all-new version of the Challenger for NHRA's Sportsman class. FCA's Mopar parts and performance arm announced the new Challenger Drag Pak Friday, showing off a version with a 354-cubic-inch (that's a 5.8-liter, by the way), supercharged V8 and a 426-ci (7.0-liter), naturally aspirated V8 – both Hemis, of course – that can get the big coupes through the quarter-mile in "the eight-second range." While the two engines deliver similar performance, at their base, they're quite a bit different. The supercharged model uses a cast-iron block, while the 426 has aluminum for both the block and head. That said, both models get customized engine calibrations, and are mated to unique, race-spec automatic transmissions. But drag racing is about far more than just outright power. Mopar significantly updated the four-link rear suspension, adding a four-inch rear axle from Strange Engineering, along with an aluminum, nine-inch third member, while the rear-axle housing has been strengthened in general. Both the rear shocks and front struts can be adjusted for rebound and compression, too. Lightweight 15-inch wheels, meanwhile, are shod in super-sticky Hoosier drag radials, with nine inches of tread in back and 4.5 inches in front. The new Challenger Drag Pak should run the quarter-mile in "the eight-second range." In the cabin, there's an NHRA-spec roll cage, a Racepak gauge cluster, and a handsome pair of Sparco racing seats. Outside, supercharged models get blue decals, while naturally aspirated varieties get black stickers, although there's more to the new Challenger dragster's exterior than just its decals. Mopar tweaked the big-scoop hood, promising it's easier to get up to check on the engine, and the designers also added trailer tie-down straps in both the front and rear. While the dragster was the big news today, Mopar officials also announced the two enhanced Scat Pack kits for both the Dodge Charger and Challenger R/T. The 5.7-liter Hemi models gain an extra 56 horsepower and 30 pound-feet of torque in the Scat Pack 2 thanks to a new cam, valve springs, pushrods, and gaskets. The Scat Pack 3, meanwhile, adds 75 hp and 44 lb-ft, on top of the gains from the lower packages. That should be perfect for drivers who wish to snort in the face of their SRT 392-driving friends. The third stage adds a ported cylinder heads, as well as high-flow manifolds and catalysts.
For his last act, Marchionne will outline an EV/hybrid roadmap this week
Wed, May 30 2018MILAN/LONDON — Fiat Chrysler (FCA) boss Sergio Marchionne is expected to outline new plans for electric and hybrid cars in a strategy presentation on Friday, aiming to ensure the world's seventh-largest carmaker remains in the race in the absence of a merger. The 65-year-old will present FCA's strategy to 2022, his final contribution to the company he turned around and multiplied in value through 14 years of canny dealmaking. After failing to secure a tie-up he said was necessary to manage the costs of producing cleaner vehicles, Marchionne needs to show the group can keep churning out profits on its own, even as emissions rules tighten, SUV competition intensifies and worries around his succession abound. Marchionne had long refused to jump on the electrification bandwagon, saying he would only do so if selling battery-powered cars could be done at a profit. He even urged customers not to buy FCA's Fiat 500e, its only battery-powered model, because he was losing money on each sold. But Tesla's success and the need to comply with tougher emissions rules have forced Marchionne to commit to what he calls "most painful" spending. "FCA is way behind rivals in terms of hybrid and electric vehicles and they need to hit the accelerator to convince investors they can close that gap," said Andrea Pastorelli, a fund manager at 8a+ Investimenti. Germany's Volkswagen, Daimler, BMW and U.S. rivals GM and Ford have committed to spending billions of euros each in coming years to try produce profitable cars powered by cleaner fuels. FCA needs to present a clear roadmap, just like Volvo Cars, which ditched diesel from its best-selling XC60 SUV, launched a new electric brand and pledged to shift all brands to hybrid by 2019, a banking source close to FCA said, noting: "The tech divide determines winners and losers in the industry." Marchionne has already said half of the wider FCA fleet will incorporate some elements of electrification by 2022, while luxury marque Maserati will spearhead FCA's electrification drive by making all new models due after 2019 electric. But its plans remain vaguer and less advanced than most big rivals and some investors wonder about the capital required to make vehicles compliant, and what share of spending can go to electrification given FCA's numerous demands.
