2010 Srt Dodge Viper Acr Laguna Seca Edition 1:33 Rare Car Warranty 600hp V10 It on 2040-cars

Year:2010 Mileage:39400
Location:

Up for sale is my 2010 Dodge Viper ACR. This is the 1:33 Laguna Seca edition. Obviously hate to put this thing up for sale but somethings in life are more important. If you want a more specific reason why I am selling feel free to contact me and I will be more then happy to discuss. This is a rare among rare cars.  Information about the car:

-2010 Dodge Viper ACR Laguna Seca 1:33
-All factory
-Car is #6 out of 33. A few have been sold to other countries and some have been totaled.
-Tires about 50% and in good shape (Michelin Sport Cups)
-39,000 miles. I will be driving the car when weather permits so it will change.
-Covered under factory warranty until June of 2014 (Additional warranty can be purchased for around $2,500 and covers the car bumper to bumper.  Dodge has a great backing on their warranty)
-Optional extended warranty can be had for extra money through Chrysler. Email for details.
-Lowest price Gen 4 ACR around.
-Deemed one of the last “pure” Vipers to be built
-The car runs amazing and has been completely gone through.
-All new fluids September of 2013
-Had the car in for maintenance after I recently purchased and had several new parts installed including:
-Clutch, Master and Slave cylinders, Flywheel, bearing, instrument cluster (had ABS code stuck inside), sun visors, rear view mirror, both rear wheel bearings, oil lines, rear upper control arms, rear end completely rebuilt, RR half shaft, stabilizer link and front tie rods.
Of course not all of this was 100% necessary to be done however if it was even close to out of spec we had it changed. I planned on keeping this car and using so we wanted to make it 100% right.

I wouldn’t hesitate to drive this car anywhere. This is the 4th Viper I’ve owned and by far the best car ever built. If your not familiar with the ACR Viper they have a list up upgrades including front and rear carbon fiber splitters and canards, KW adjustable suspension, 2 piece stoptech rotors with racing pads, lightweight sidewinder wheels, race tires, and under body panels to keep better air flow and aero. This car is a 600hp monster and is basically a street legal race car. Even after owning as many Viper’s as I have had nothing gets attention like this car.

The overall condition of the car is great. Yes it does have a few miles which is really nothing to me considering I purchased the car to drive. These cars are built to last and easy go 100-200K miles with standard maintenance. Yes it does have some minor blemishes but you can buy the car and really use it. If you’re looking for a garage nick-nac this probably isn’t the car for you. Only real “damage” do the car is some marks on the front lower splitter and some small chips that I had touched up. Nothing crazy and I will be more then happy to show pictures of what ever was needed.

I am a very accessible person. Feel free to call, email or text.

Below is information from the factory regarding the car:

This edition of the car is to commemorate the record setting lap at Laguna Seca:

The 2010 Dodge Viper ACR makes a return as Laguna Seca Lap King today, setting a blistering production car lap record of just 1:33.91 (as recorded by Motech in-vehicle data recorder, 1:33.94 as unofficially recorded by trackside clock) that knocks more than 1 full second off the previous lap record. MT Editor-in-Chief Angus MacKenzie is at the scene and reports that the time was set by SRT vehicle dynamics engineer Chris Winkler, a 20-year Chrysler veteran.

ACR specific information:

The Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR is tuned for track performance, with coil-over racing adjustable dampers, two-way adjustable shocks (adjustable without removing the wheels) with a large range for compression and rebound. The KW dampers and forks are machined from solid aluminum billet, with spherical bearing mounts. A new front stabilizer bar increased roll-stiffness. Lightweight forged aluminum wheels were optimized using Finite Element Analysis to achieve a lower mass. They wear Michelin Pilot Sport Cup street legal race tires.

The 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR is aero, suspension, wheels, and tires are 40 pounds lighter than the Viper SRT10 coupe. The optional Hard Core package further reduces the weight by another 40 pounds, for a total weight savings of 80 pounds.

StopTech two-piece, slotted, lightweight rotors combine with the Viper SRT10’s Brembo calipers to reduce mass, improve brake cooling, and reduce fade. The rotors, tires, and wheels combine to reduce 60 pounds of unsprung, rotating mass.

The 2008 Dodge SRT10 Viper ACR stops from 60 mph in less than 100 feet.

The 8.4-liter aluminum V-10 engine produces a ground-shaking 600 horsepower and tire-smoking 560 lb.-ft. of torque. It features an aluminum engine block, heads with Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC)-shaped combustion chambers, large valves and Variable Valve Timing (VVT). VVT electronically adjusts when the exhaust valves are open and closed according to engine speed and load, allowing the engine to “breathe” cleaner and more efficiently.

Also information regarding the lemon buy back.  This isn't something that worried myself upon purchase of the car.  The car was turned in a few times due to air bag, window reg and rear end noise issues.  From my research the dealership working on the car hadn't a clue what they were doing.  Once I purchased the car I had it sent to my Viper tech here in MI.  Upon his inspection we notice several corners were cut and repairs not done up to spec.  My mechanic went through the car with a fine tooth comb and everything has been sorted out.  I have put almost 2,000 miles on the car since repairs and it's in top notch shape and will definitely last someone a very long time worry free.  That car as listed above has had over $10K in parts installed in just the past few months.  That's parts only not factoring in labor.  Email, message or call if you would like to further discuss.  I believe the car is priced accordingly given the history.

Leno recalls '90s showdown with Tim Allen and his mullet

Wed, Oct 7 2015

Not many of us have buddies with garages full of classic cars, but that isn't the case for Jay Leno and Tim Allen. Of course, one of the advantages for two guys with such vast collections is occasionally getting to pit their cars against each other. The two comedians did just that in the mid-'90s with a burnout battle on The Tonight Show between Allen in a race-prepped Mustang and Leno in a drag racer. After some time away from regular television, Leno is returning to the airwaves with a Jay Leno's Garage series premiering on Oct. 7 (tonight) at 10:00 p.m. ET on CNBC. Let this clip serve as another taste of what to expect for the new TV show's mix of comedy and cars. After reminiscing about the old days in a gorgeous garage, the comedians get into two modern machines to reprise the classic challenge – after a little trash talk anyway. Don't worry because the YouTube series isn't going anywhere, though.

VLF Force 1 V10 is a rebodied Viper priced like a Lamborghini

Tue, Jan 12 2016

It would appear that Henrik Fisker is done with hybrids. His latest project, called the Force 1, packs an oversized V10 engine with no electric assist in sight and all the environmental credentials of a herd of flatulent cattle. Alongside the Karma-based, Corvette-powered Destino, the Force 1 is the second product from VLF Automotive. Fisker has taken partnership in the new firm as chief designer alongside chairman Bob Lutz and CEO Gilbert Villarreal. The company isn't saying explicitly what the Force 1 is based on, but it doesn't take a CSI team to trace its roots back to the Dodge Viper. Never mind that it's being built in Auburn Hills – the same Detroit suburb where Chrysler is headquartered – or that it was jointly developed by Fisker and professional Viper racer and dealer Ben Keating. It also happens to be powered by an 8.4-liter V10, and there aren't many of those kicking around the industry. Instead of the Viper's 645 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque, the Force 1's ten-cylinder engine is optimized to deliver 745 hp and 638 lb-ft. That, according to VLF, is enough to send the coupe rocketing to 60 in 3.0 seconds flat, covering the quarter-mile in under 11 seconds on its way to a top speed of 218 miles per hour. The power is transmitted to the Pirelli PZero rubber through a six-speed manual, but VLF says it will fit it with an automatic at the customer's request. Around that massive engine and two-seat cockpit, Fisker designed a new shape that, for better or for worse, looks way more aggressive than the Viper's. The Force 1's proportions are tellingly super-snake, but the curves are replaced by some very angry-looking angles and vents. Its head- and taillights are ultra thin, and the deep-dish, split-four-spoke wheels seem to visually split the difference between the three-spoke wheels on the original Viper and the five-spoke alloys it wears today. If you doubted the Force 1's origins before, the interior ought to give it away, with its wide tunnel and familiar surfaces. Only VLF has refinished it in leather, suede, and Alcantara, all diamond stitched with contrasting thread to help position this as a more luxurious prospect than the Dodge. It even fit between the seatbacks place for two champagne bottles that we hope nobody would consider consuming before trying to handle that much power. Of course, none of this will come cheap.

Stellantis will enter joint venture with Samsung SDI for EV batteries

Tue, Oct 19 2021

SEOUL — South Korean battery maker Samsung SDI Co Ltd and global automaker Stellantis NV have agreed to jointly produce electric vehicle (EV) batteries for the North American market, a person familiar with the matter said on Tuesday. Samsung SDI, an affiliate of South Korean tech giant Samsung Electronics, already has EV battery plants in South Korea, China and Hungary, which supply customers such as BMW and Ford. "The two companies (Samsung SDI and Stellantis) have struck a MOU (memorandum of understanding) to produce EV batteries for North America," the person with knowledge of the matter told Reuters. The source spoke of condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter. The person said the location of the battery joint venture is under review and will be announced later. In July, Reuters reported that Samsung SDI may build a battery plant in the United States, citing a company source. South Korea's Yonhap news agency earlier reported the two companies plan to build a factory in the United States, citing industry sources. Samsung SDI and Stellantis did not have immediate comment when reached by Reuters. Stellantis on Monday struck a preliminary deal with battery maker South Korea's LG Energy Solution (LGES) to produce battery cells and modules for North America. Shares of Samsung SDI were up 2.6% as of 0300 GMT, versus a 0.6% rise in the KOSPI benchmark index.
