FOR SALE 06 Viper Coupe 25k Miles over 1000WHP The car has a very impressive mod list ALL done by Real Street Performance one of the best builders in the business. And it looks practically brand new with some very minor blemishes, exterior is a 9.5 out of 10 interior is also 9.5 out of 10.The car made 1050whp, I have since gone to a slightly bigger pulley that makes 960ish to lower the blower noise a bit. (Ill give the new owner the smaller pulley & belt if they wanna swap it) the build was finished well over a year ago and the car has been perfectly reliable, there isnt many cars you can buy that make this power that will match in reliability and ease of ownership, just keep up with your normal oil change schedule and drive her as much and as often as you want (or can handle :) )The car went stock to RSP and left the way you see it, this isnt a piece meal build, this is a full turn key build, which means everything was done understanding the end goal. The heads and cam were built by A&C Performance, this is their top tier head package with upgraded valvetrain, port and polish job. The short block was Built at RSP over a year ago, it does have billet mains and all arp hardware which means its very over built for the power the car makes, as it could handle significantly more power than is currently making. (12-1250whp)The car has the Paxton blower, all pulleys including the idler one is metal for added reliability (paxton sends it with a plastic idler), it has an upgraded heat exchanger from frozen boost mounted on the front of the car and a trunk mounted custom ice box, with upgraded water pump and a Tial BOV. So if you are ever running this car at the drag strip or half mile, you can easily drain some of the water from the intercooler setup with a small valve accessible under the car, and add ice directly into the icebox in the trunk to keep the intake temperatures nice and cool.The car runs on a AEM infinity with the traction control option, and flex fuel sensor as I have it tuned for e85, if you do not have e85 readily available in your are a bigger pulley can be installed in the blower and the car could get tuned for 93 octane. That will bring down the power a bit, but still be well over 800hp.The car comes with the set of HRE wheels (20x13 19x10) and Nitto tires, the one blemish in this car is one rear wheel has a small knick. Not noticeable because I had touched up with balck paint but is there. Chrysler recalling nearly half a million Durangos and Grand Cherokees
Fri, Feb 27 2015Rule number one of public relations – save the bad news for Friday. Fiat Chrysler has adhered to that, announcing today that it'd be voluntarily recalling 467,480 SUVs. This latest recall could actually be thought of as a continuation of a September 2014 recall, relating to the fuel-cell relay. In that case, some 188,723 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee CUVs from model year 2011 were recalled. And this time, it's the Durango and GC in trouble again. FCA is adding crossovers from model years 2012 and 2013 to the fuel-pump recall, although only diesel-powered Jeeps with the 3.0-liter V6 that were sold outside of North America are affected this time around. As with the previous recall, deformities in the fuel-pump relay, which could affect its functioning. In most cases, FCA reports that the affected vehicles simply won't start, although they also could be prone to stalling. A new relay circuit will be installed that promises increase durability. Of the 467,480 vehicles being recalled, 338,216 were sold in the US market, 18,991 went to Canada and 10,829 were shipped south of the border, to Mexico. Outside of the NAFTA region, FCA is recalling 99,444 vehicles. No injuries or accidents have been associated with this recall. Statement: Fuel-Pump Relay February 27, 2015 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - FCA US LLC is voluntarily recalling an estimated 467,480 SUVs worldwide to install new a relay circuit that improves fuel-pump relay durability. FCA US engineers have determined a condition identified in a previous investigation may extend to additional vehicles. The previous investigation, which led to a recall, traced a pattern of repairs to fuel-pump relays that are susceptible to deformation. This may affect fuel-pump function, preventing a vehicle from starting, or leading to engine stall. Of the two scenarios, the no-start condition is the more common. FCA US is unaware of any related injuries or accidents. The fuel-pump relay is located inside the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM), which also helps manage other vehicle functions. None of these other functions, including air-bag deployment, is affected by the fuel-pump relay. The new campaign affects an estimated 338,216 vehicles in the U.S.; 18,991 in Canada; 10,829 in Mexico and 99,444 outside the NAFTA region. Covered are model-year 2012 and 2013 Dodge Durango full-size SUVs and non-NAFTA 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee mid-size SUVs equipped with 3.0-liter diesel engines.
Continental Automotive recalls 5 million airbag control units
Thu, Feb 4 2016Takata isn't the only supplier having airbag problems. Rival manufacturer Continental Automotive Systems announced a recall of 5 million airbag control units fitted to vehicles from Honda, Fiat Chrysler Automotive, Mercedes-Benz, and even a certain Chrysler-based Volkswagen. This sweeping recall has actually been in progress for some time, although the exact scope is only now becoming evident. In October of 2015, Mercedes-Benz recalled 2008 and 2009 model year C- and GLK-Class vehicles because their Continental-made airbag control units could corrode. Such a condition could cause the airbags to deploy without cause or warning, or in the event of a crash, not deploy at all. You can read all about it in our post from last year. Now, Continental's recall is going wide. Alongside the already recalled C and GLK, you've already heard about the 2008 and 2009 Honda Accord airbag recall, which we reported on yesterday. Now, Fiat Chrysler is announcing the recall of the 2009 Dodge Journey, as well as the 2008 and 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan, Chrysler Town and Country, and their rebadged counterpart, the Volkswagen Routan. Yes, one manufacturer is recalling another manufacturer's vehicle. The models listed above only amount to about 580,000 vehicles out of 5 million bad airbag control units. And since Continental will notify manufacturers who will then issue their own recalls, it's extremely likely that more brands and vehicles will be ensnared. Stay tuned. Chrysler patents smarter minivan folding seats
Thu, 02 Jan 2014It's frightening to think of how quickly the mice would have overtaken us if we hadn't stayed one step ahead of them with better mousetraps. We'll never have to worry about that in our relentlessly re-engineered world, though. Case in point: Chrysler has been granted a patent by the US Patent and Trademark Office for an improved design of the already wondrous Stow 'n' Go seating found in the automaker's Town and Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans.
Introduced in 2005, the Stow 'n' Go was improved in 2008, and based on the drawings of this third-generation improvement, the new design appears to allow stowage of the second row of seats without having to move the front-row seats forward as much. It look like it also involves fewer operations and moving parts, with a portion of the seatback being incorporated into the flat floor when the seats are stowed, as opposed to having a completely separate cover.
It's possible that the innovation may appear on the next-generation minivans expected in 2015, but Chrysler isn't commenting on the patent.
