I have an all original, 2003 Convertible Dodge Viper that is up for sale - perfect for an investment! - No
Accidents, No Problems! In April, 2003 a beast was born! It has an 8.3L V10 engine and is amazing! It is a 6 speed
manual and has been maintained by the Dodge Dealership. Clean, Clear Title, Ready to be sold. I have had it for
about 2.5 years and have zero problems. Great car. Comes with Viper Car Cover. Leather interior is perfect and
exterior is a smooth black that looks amazing! Everything works perfectly including the gauges. It does have ABS
BREMBO brakes for superior brake control. As quoted by many Car Magazines, this car is awesomely powerful and must
be driven with the utmost respect to its raw power and torque. With 500 horsepower and 525 lb-ft and only 3300lbs
it really moves! I am not a dealer, so SAVE close to $4000 with NO TAX! Please no joy rides. This car is a garage
queen, but it CAN BE the KING OF THE ROAD! Sure there are cars that are faster (3.8 sec 0-60), but how often do you
see a DODGE VIPER! This car gets looks and people are constantly stopping you at the stop lights tell you how cool
the car is. If you DON'T like attention, DON'T buy this car! I believe there were only 278 black convertible vipers
made in 2003 and probably half of those no longer exist,...there are 1/4 the number of Vipers compared to
Ferrari's, so you have 4 times better chances to see a Ferrari before you do a VIPER.
My favorite items about the Viper (in no particular order):
1) The sound it makes... It has such deep rumble as it passes through the neighborhood that it sets off car
alarms.
2) The rumble of the side pipes... When you take your foot off the gas, it rumbles and lets everyone around you
know it.
3) The speed... So FAST!
4) The looks... What more can you say here. The Viper is so rare that EVERYONE is looking at you and hanging out
the window at stop lights to comment on how cool the car is.
5) The feel... When you drive this beast, you have do it with respect. I have never raced the car, but I can only
imagine that it would corner and scream down the straight away with a vengeance.

All the INFO:
The 2003 Dodge Viper SRT-10 brought about a change in the already legendary muscle car, a change that seems almost
universally to be for the better. First thing's first. The 2003 Dodge Viper has an 8.3-liter engine, .3 liters
bigger than previous years, which has a maximum horsepower output of 500. Another major, and much appreciated,
change in the 2003
Dodge Viper SRT-10 is the convertible roof. This one is actually easy to operate!
All in all, over 100 changes were made by Dodge engineers in the redesigned 2003 Dodge Viper. Inside, the Viper is
much more comfortable. The seats were redesigned, a dead pedal was brought in as a place to rest your left foot,
and a 6-CD changer was included so you don't have to waste valuable time looking through your case mid-journey. The
gas mileage is still around 12/24 mpg city/highway, but that's become fairly standard for the Viper family.
Owners of the 2003 Dodge Viper SRT-10 seem to think that it is the best Viper made up to that year. For the most
part, owners are happy with all of the changes, especially the 50 extra horsepower and the convenient convertible
roof. Despite being redesigned, the 2003 Dodge Viper still keeps its position as one of the best muscle cars on the
market.

Chrysler minivans under investigation for stalling after fuel refill

Wed, 10 Sep 2014

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, at least one man has reported that his 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan stalled unexpectedly on the highway shortly after being refueled. The unidentified man who contacted NHTSA regarding the issue cited as many as eight similar instances reported by other drivers.
NHTSA has announced that it will launch an inquiry into this issue, which could affect as many as 160,000 minivans from Dodge and Chrysler that were sold in 2007 (or more, if a problem is found that extends to additional models years, we'd assume). As of yet, there's no formal investigation, let alone a recall, on these vans, as the agency is merely determining if further action is needed.
Two months ago, Chrysler recalled nearly 700,000 vehicles, the majority of which were minivans, from the 2008-2010 model years to replace ignition switches after an investigation found that their weak springs and detent positions could fool a driver into thinking the car was in the "Run" position, when it's actually in the "Accessory" position.

The Dodge Challenger plays its trump card: all-wheel drive

Wed, Dec 7 2016

Perennially stuck in third place behind the Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro in sales and enthusiast comparisons, the Dodge Challenger is doing something unconventional for a muscle couple. It's adding all-wheel drive. It's a new feature for Detroit's pony cars – none of the three have ever had it – and it could be a game-changer. Called the Challenger GT, the Dodge launches this winter for a starting price of $34,490. The Challenger GT comes with the Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 rated at 305 horsepower and 268 pound-feet of torque. It teams with an eight-speed TorqueFlight automatic transmission and is estimated to get 18 miles per gallon in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. An FCA spokesperson said no manual transmission or V8 models will be offered on the all-wheel-drive Challenger. It will be on display in January at the Detroit auto show. View 8 Photos All-wheel drive is a widely expected addition for the Challenger. The coupe shares underpinnings with the four-door Charger, which offers an all-wheel drive variant and the cars have similar powertrain offerings (the AWD Charger is also V6 and automatic only). Naturally, the Challenger borrows the Charger's AWD system and during regular driving conditions, the front axle disengages and full torque goes to the back wheels, allowing the Challenger to function as a rear-wheel drive car. It automatically goes back to AWD when more traction is needed. Handling is also fortified with a vehicle dynamic control system. Conversely, the electronic stability control has three modes and can be switched off for drift-happy enthusiasts. The GT has features familiar to other Challenger and Dodge owners, including an 8.4-inch touchscreen radio, Performance Pages (accessible through the Super Trak Pack button), and paddle shifters. A Sport Mode changes shift points to improve acceleration. It all rolls on 19-inch wheels wrapped in all-season rubber. The exterior gets a hood bulge, LED head- and taillights, and a decklid spoiler. The Challenger GT also offers a $995-interior package different than RWD models, adding Nappa leather, Alcantara suede seats, a nine-speaker Alpine audio system, performance steering wheel, and more. All of that is just window dressing. It's all-wheel drive that could be a difference-maker for consumers. The Challenger won't likely be able to take down the Mustang, which will finish 2016 as the pony car sales king.

Texas cops pull armed suspect from burning car

Fri, Jul 29 2016

A high-speed chase through Fort Worth, Texas ended in dramatic fashion earlier this month when FWPD pulled armed burglary suspects from the burning wreckage of their escape vehicle. According to NBC DFW, Fort Worth police were dispatched to Avington Way on the evening of July 16 to investigate reports of a burglary. The burglary victim told police he had arrived home to find three individuals hauling his property out of his house. When he approached them, one of the suspects pointed a handgun at him and told him to stay back. Then all three suspects climbed into a silver Dodge Avenger and sped away. FWPD officers spotted the Avenger a short time later on Sycamore School Road and, after the car refused to pull over, the chase was on. Police chased the burglary suspects through the city at speeds approaching 100 mph until the Avenger blew a red light and was t-boned by an oncoming pickup at the intersection of California Parkway and James Avenue. As the pursuing officers closed in on the disabled car, it suddenly caught fire. One suspect bailed out and ran for it, but the remaining two were trapped inside with the flames quickly mounting. Despite the spreading fire and the threat of armed suspects in the vehicle, police officers rushed to pull the men from the wreck. The driver was removed easily, but the passenger was unconscious and trapped behind a crushed passenger door. The scene was caught on the officers' body cameras as they pried the door open with their bare hands. Eventually the officers got the semi-conscious man out of the passenger seat just as the car was completely engulfed in flames. "It was pretty dramatic. We recruit people that can think on the fly, think quickly, and perform under pressure," FWPD Sergeant Marc Povero told WFAA. All three suspects are facing charges for burglary, and the driver was charged with evading arrest.
