I am pleased to offer this 1997 Dodge Viper GTS. At 17K miles, it was involved in a front impact. Has been repaired and is back on the road!!!

The color is a custom Burnt Orange with black stripes. Car looks amazing with the Black powder coated Razor wheels, black fuel cap and black stripes!!!!!  Tires only have 1000 miles on them. This powerful Dodge only has 18k miles and has been put on the dyno. It made over 425 RWHP, putting the engine at 490 HP!!!! The car runs wonderful and blows cold air. The Viper does have Eibach lower springs to give that mean-ass stance. Check out the pictures!!! Shipping will be at the buyers expense but I will be happy to help in any way possible. Delivery might be possible at minimal cost. Details to be worked out between buyer/seller. the listing can be ended any second due to local buyers!!!! It is still being driven and mileage acquired. THIS IS A MOSTLY STOCK  CAR, but I do have a Borla 3" catback I was going to install later, but the buyer will have the option to purchase it cheap.

The Viper HAS tubes/filters. Very strong HP numbers from a near stock car!!!

THE ONLY FLAWS TO NOTE ARE TYPICAL WEAR FROM BEING DRIVEN: A FEW MINOR ROCK CHIPS ON THE LOWER BUMPER, SCRATCHES UNDER THE FRONT BUMPER (CAN'T BE AVOIDED), AND A FEW MINOR SCRATCHES HERE AND THERE AGAIN FROM TYPICAL USE.  THE INTERIOR IS IN GREAT CONDITION, BUT THE DRIVERS SEAT DOES SHOW SOME WEAR.  PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT ANY OF THESE MINOR FLAWS!

If you are a new bidder with less than 10 positive feedbacks or have multiple negative feedbacks, you must email me before bidding. Please

DO NOT BID IF YOU ARE NOT SERIOUS ABOUT BUYING THIS VIPER.

Dodge idles Viper production again at Conner Avenue

Mon, 07 Jul 2014

You've got to hand it to Dodge for having the gumption to put the original Viper into production in the first place. It was, after all, much more of an emotional decision than a practical one, and a move which saw the first production V10 engine placed in a road car - long before the advent of the Lamborghini Gallardo, Audi R8, Porsche Carrera GT or Lexus LFA, not to mention the other Ford, BMW and Volkswagen Group models that used such engines.
It's now been 22 years since the first Viper entered production and the Viper still rolls on several generations later, but we're sad to say that courageous decision has not always been met with overwhelming sales success. In fact parent Chrysler was forced to idle the Conner Avenue plant where the Viper is made back in April due to slow sales. And while production resumed again as planned on June 23, it apparently didn't do the trick.
As a result, Chrysler corporate communications chief Shawn Morgan revealed to Autoblog that the assembly line has been shut down again for another two weeks. The line was up and running for nearly two full work weeks from June 23 until the holiday weekend that started on Thursday, July 3. But instead of coming back online today as planned, it's been idled again for the weeks of July 7 and 14. That means it will be July 21, at the earliest, before the serpentine supercars start slithering down the assembly line at Conner Avenue again. Once it does, however, production is set to resume at the same pace it was before the shutdown.

Chrysler patents smarter minivan folding seats

Thu, 02 Jan 2014

It's frightening to think of how quickly the mice would have overtaken us if we hadn't stayed one step ahead of them with better mousetraps. We'll never have to worry about that in our relentlessly re-engineered world, though. Case in point: Chrysler has been granted a patent by the US Patent and Trademark Office for an improved design of the already wondrous Stow 'n' Go seating found in the automaker's Town and Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans.
Introduced in 2005, the Stow 'n' Go was improved in 2008, and based on the drawings of this third-generation improvement, the new design appears to allow stowage of the second row of seats without having to move the front-row seats forward as much. It look like it also involves fewer operations and moving parts, with a portion of the seatback being incorporated into the flat floor when the seats are stowed, as opposed to having a completely separate cover.
It's possible that the innovation may appear on the next-generation minivans expected in 2015, but Chrysler isn't commenting on the patent.

Chrysler recalling 49K Chargers for headlight components

Fri, 14 Mar 2014

Chrysler has issued a recall for about 49,375 2011 and 2012 Dodge Chargers with halogen headlamps due to a problem with the lights. The automaker says that there could be an issue with the jumper harness and other related components.
The automaker says that 43,450 cars are affected in the US, 2,850 in Canada, 375 in Mexico and 2,700 outside of North America. The vehicles will have their headlight assemblies, including the jumper harnesses and bulbs, inspected and potentially replaced. Dodge says that its engineers investigated reports of that were similar to what was found when it recalled about 10,000 police Chargers in 2012 for overheating light components. There have been no injuries or accidents related to fault, according to Chrysler.
The automaker will be in contact with affected owners, and schedule the service. Naturally, any repairs will be free of charge. Scroll down for the company's full announcement.
