Year:1995 Mileage:20901
Location:

Libertyville, Illinois, United States

Beautiful 1995 Viper RT 10 in emerald green with tan interior.  20,901 original miles. Only 307 produced in this color in 1995. This is the last year of production at the Mack Avenue Viper plant and this is one of the last 300 generation one vipers produced with side exhaust. Individuals on the line at the Mack Avenue plant pin stamped the last 300 Gen 1 vipers produced near the passenger side window pillar on the foot box with "Last 300 side exhaust" (see PIC in link below). This is one of those cars.

Condition

Car is in excellent condition.
  • Tires (Kuhmo) are basically new as are the brakes, both pads and rotors (slotted / drilled rotors).
  • Runs perfectly.  Absolute rocket.  Definitely sticks you in your seat.  400+ HP / 465 ft lbs of torque.  0 to 60 in the 4's.
  • Soft top and side windows are included and are in perfect condition.
  • Car is 100% original with the exception of the original wheels being chromed - the wheels are absolutely perfect, they look brand new, no scuffs / scratches / blemishes.
  • Paint and interior both look excellent.  Paint has a deep shine.  Interior - seats, carpet, etc. are excellent.  In particular there are no issues with the paint around the exhaust, this is a common issue with these cars - this one the paint is perfect.
  • Undercarriage is very clean, I have pics of the undercarriage in the link below - no drips, leaks, etc. whatsoever.
  • Spare and jack all there - look like they've never been out of the car.
  • I've included a copy of the appraisal of the car done for me by Volo Auto Museum at the end of 2012 (very reputable - you can find them on line).  Appraised value at the time was $36K - my reserve is way lower than this.  Just wanted to include it to validate the condition of the car.  This is a great opportunity to get a car like this for a very reasonable price.
  • Just put in a new battery.

Here is a link to some additional pics including the undercarriage...

Imperfections...

  • A few very small paint blemishes on the front end from normal use (stones).  One on the driver's rear qtr panel there is a mark about the size of a pencil tip (pointy end).  Nothing significant.
  • One small scratch on the top of the roll-bar (assume someone did this when removing the top).  It's not noticeable unless your looking for it, about 1/2 inch long, not all the way through the finish.
  • Black part of the plastic cover that surrounds the shifter has some pealing in the finish (common with these cars, was going to clean it off and paint it but decided to sell, easy fix).  You can see it in the picture with the stick shift if you look closely.
  • The glove box door has a few marks on it, again common.  It's not really noticeable but wanted to point it out.  Also the glove box will sometimes pop open.  The mechanism looks fine and it happens rarely so I haven't messed with it.  Just want to provide full disclosure.
Also includes...
  • Original top and side windows in perfect condition.
  • Original tonneau cover in perfect condition.
  • Extra set floor mats (original OEM - brand new still in the box).
  • Original Viper car cover.
  • Original 1995 Viper shop manual (very handy)
  • New Dodge OEM fuel filter - planned to change it this spring.
  • New Dodge OEM differential fluid - planned to change it this spring.

Selling as I have kids starting College. (Ouch!)

I do have a loan on the car at my local credit union.  Buyer and I will make arrangements regarding payoff and receipt of the title.  Car will not be released without funds in hand.

I have the car for sale locally and do reserve the right to end the auction early if the car is sold.

Please contact me with questions or for additional pics.  Inspections prior to auction end are welcome.

No scammers, tire kickers, etc. please or I will sick my wife on you.

I will sell internationally.  Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements.  I will not release the car until I have the funds in hand.

Thanks and good luck!

Dodge celebrates centennial with Charger and Challenger 100th Anniversary Editions

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

In 1914, the Dodge brothers went from being a parts supplier to a full-scale automaker, and to celebrate the centennial of this milestone, Dodge will offer special editions of the 2014 Charger and Challenger early next year. Both cars will be sold in limited numbers (although no specific number was given), and these cars will stand out thanks to unique touches like 20-inch wheels, 100th anniversary edition logos and the exclusive High Octane Red Pearl Coat paint job (shown above).
The 100th Anniversary Edition package, which runs $2,200 on the 2014 Charger and $2,500 on the 2014 Challenger, comes with red or black leather seats with a cloud print (for a denim-like look) and metal badges on the seatbacks that read "Dodge Est. 1914," while similar logos are also found on the wheel center caps and front fenders. The instrument gauges are unique to each car, with the Charger getting black gauges and the Challenger getting white gauges, and to enunciate the 100-year anniversary, both cars have red numerals on the speedometer for the 100-mile-per-hour mark.
Finishing off the 100th Anniversary Edition cars, which will be offered on V6 and R/T models, Dodge adds a flat-bottom steering wheel and embroidered floor mats as a part of the package. Scroll down for the full press release for these commemorative models.

Jay Leno gets his denim mitts on Dodge's new Challenger Hellcat

Mon, 04 Aug 2014

The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is definitely the performance car of the moment. The fact that in the near future, people will be able to buy a 707-horsepower muscle machine straight from a major automaker for $59,995 and with a factory warranty almost seems absurd. We drove it recently and found the Hellcat to be just as much of a beast as its numbers would suggest. Now, it's a certain comedian's turn behind the wheel in the latest episode of Jay Leno's Garage.
This week's guest is Dodge President and CEO Tim Kuniskis, and he's there to drop all sorts of interesting factoids about the Hellcat. For example, its Pirelli P Zero tires retail at around $300 each, he says. That makes its smoky burnouts a rather expensive proposition. Kuniskis, who recently hinted at a mystery Woodward Dream Cruise debut, also talks about the genesis of the 2015 SRT project with a goal to get over some of the standard Challenger's weight and size disadvantages. The fix is a supercharged V8, massive brakes and other goodies to smooth over the platform's more glaring shortcomings.
Leno appears to get a big kick out of the Hellcat. However, he can't seem to stop bringing up his desire to drive one with a six-speed manual. They obviously exist, but Kuniskis has an eight-speed automatic for the retired Tonight Show host to try out. Of course, as with any Hellcat video, there has to be at least one burnout. Despite the expensive tires, it seems like enthusiast's law at this point - and dear ol' Jay wouldn't want to break any rules, would he?

2013 Dodge Dart gets brace of new special edition models

Thu, 16 May 2013

After almost a year on the market it, it is becoming more clear to Dodge how customers like to option out their Darts, so the automaker has combined popular features into three special edition packages and sweetened the prices. Start with a standard 2013 Dart and add either the SXT or Limited "Special Editions" or Rallye Appearance Group, and you'll save yourself a lot of box checking.
The $595 Dart SXT Special Edition takes the trim just above the base model and adds a new grille, dark-tinted headlights and projector fog lights, LED racetrack taillights, cruise control and audio controls on the leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Limited Special Edition starts with the top-end model and adds a power sunroof, heated front seats and steering wheel, dual-zone climate control and Nappa leather seats among other features, for $1,810.
The Rallye Appearance Group (pictured) is a package for the SXT, and it blacks out the front fascia, throws on 17-inch wheels and some badging for $395. The new special editions are reaching dealers now and could help the Dart's sales to further improve after a slow start. You can find out more about them in the press release below.
