I HAVE A 1996 DODGE STRATUS 4 DOOR VEHICLE FOR SALE. I JUST PUT $300 IN BRAKE WORK IN IT ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO. THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON THE OTHER DAY, AND ON MY WAY HOME FROM MY MOM`S HOUSE TODAY, IT CAME ON AGAIN, AND WHEN I PARKED THE CAR, IT QUIT, AND WOULDN`T RESTART. I WOULD ASSUME IT NEEDS EITHER A BATTERY OR ALTERNATOR, WHEN IT DID RUN IT RAN PRETTY GOOD, COULD USE A GOOD TUNE UP. I`VE NEVER HAD MAJOR TROUBLE OTHER THAN CHANGING THE OIL AND OIL FILTER WHICH I LOGGED IN A BOOK EVERY TIME I CHANGED IT. IF YOU CAN SEE FROM THE WINDSHIELD PHOTO, IT HAS A CRACK IN IT ABOUT 3/4 OF THE WAY ACROSS. THIS WOULD BE A NICE PARTS CAR, OR A NICE FIXER UPPER IF SOMEONE HAD THE TIME. WE ALREADY HAVE 2 CARS, SO I JUST CAN`T PUT THE $$$ IN IT TO FIX IT, SO I KINDA WANT IT GONE. PLEASE E-MAIL US WITH ANY ?`S.

Fiat-Chrysler shows its SEMA lineup
Fri, 24 Oct 2014Fiat Chrysler Automobiles already previewed its 2014 SEMA show lineup with some slick renders. Now, the automaker has finally showed us the actual cars, and among the group there are definitely some that stand out more than others.
Dodge is really showing off its muscle at this year's show with four concepts that all pump up the power of the brand's models. Perhaps most interesting among them is the Challenger T/A Concept (pictured above) in striking Sublime Green and matte black. It's meant to resemble the classic Trans Am racer from the '70s. Under the hood is a 6.4-liter V8, and to fit the vintage style there's a pistol-grip gearshift inside.
The Charger R/T also gets some attention with the Mopar concept that shows off what FCA's aftermarket performance arm can do. Mods include an updated body kit, cold-air intake for the 5.7-liter V8 and a coil-over suspension kit. Beyond that, the Dart R/T Concept looks a lot meaner with a black hood with duct work that leads straight to the air intake. The rest of the compact sedan is dolled up in O-So-Orange paint and is fitted with upgrades to improve handling like a coil-over suspension and big brake kit from the Mopar catalog.
Travis Pastrana signs with Dodge for another year, brings partner Bryce Menzies [w/video]
Sun, 14 Apr 2013Dodge and SRT Motorsports announced that the Dodge Dart will be returning for its sophomore season of the Global Rallycross Championship with a two-car team fielded by Pastrana Racing. Travis Pastrana drove his GRC Dart to victory lane in the fourth race of the car's inaugural season, and his race team is looking for even more success with the addition of off-road racer Bryce Menzies behind the wheel of the second car.
The 2013 GRC season kicks off on April 21 in Brazil with plenty of dirt-spewing, ramp-jumping action. Scroll down for a video from the cars' main sponsor, Red Bull, and a press release from Chrysler.
Dodge, Hyundai crowdsourced-funding sites deemed successes
Wed, 05 Jun 2013What's not to love about crowdsourcing? This idea, after all, has given us Kickstarter as well Local Motors, but automakers are starting to use the social platform to sell more cars (or just drum up a little PR). Both Dodge and Hyundai have used "crowd-funding" recently, and while Automotive News is reporting that neither has racked up big sales with this gimmick, both automakers are pleased with the attention.
For Hyundai, it teamed up with website Motozuma.com to help customers crowdsource money for a down payment, and the automaker matched this amount up to $500. Last year, this helped Hyundai sell an extra 1,600 units, a fraction of its total 2012 sales. That figure is far larger than Dodge fared with the Dodge Dart Registry - it netted only two sales and a small number of individual options. This registry did help University of Southern California fraternity crowdsource $18,000 to buy a Dart for a local Meals on Wheels, however. Despite the low sales figures, Dodge and Hyundai are considering their crowdsourcing programs a success since it helped them connect with younger buyers.
