1992 Dodge Stealth Rt Awd Twin Turbo, Highly Modified on 2040-cars
Cliffside Park, New Jersey, United States
I have here a 1992 Dodge Stealth R/t Turbo AWD.
This car is highly modified. I purchased it back in 2007, with a blown clutch. I quickly came to realize the potential of this heavy duty drivetrain. From there on, anything that failed was upgraded. I will be selling this as a LOT. It will include all stock parts, and anything else listed in this auction. The value in parting this LOT out is significantly higher than the asking price. Before listing all the modifications and parts, I would like to state this motor is a fresh rebuild from a imported JDM GTO. It is a 2 bolt block with a 25 spline transmission. It was fully torn down, had new valves and guides installed in the first generation heads, all new lower end (bearings / rings), MLS headgaskets, third gen lifters (3mm bore over 1mm first gen), pistons and rods were cleaned and conditioned. The block and heads were flattened and hot tanked clean. The block was also rehoned for the new rings. The 9b turbos were dismantled by turbo shop, and were deemed in 'great' condition. They did not offer the rebuild, as it was not neccessary. They spin flawlessly, with a touch of the finger. No play. The motor has currently 1400 miles on it, and runs like a lion. It is flash tuned, and has a 2-step rev limiter set up for 4,000 rpm launch. The car will build boost revving in neutral if you bounce the limiter a couple times. You hear the blow off valve everytime. Car currently has: Stage 2 Exedy street clutch (good for 400-450hp) $300 Turbo XS RFL blow off valve (tuned for open atmos, loud) $80 Complete Vacuum Reduction, EGR Delete, FIAV Delete, IAC delete, Cruise bypass, ABS bypass Ksport Full Adjustable Coilovers $800 1999 Mitsu vr-4 chrome rims $750 245 40 18 Continental DWS tires (like new) $880 1999 Mitsu vr-4 front brake upgrade (bigger rotors, 4 piston calipers) $425 Stillen Cross drilled rotors $215 Blitz Boost Control (set to 14psi) $70 450cc injectors (will come with stock 360cc and upgraded 550cc) $500 Walbro 255 in-tank fuel assembly (with hanger & adapters) $120 Megan Racing full 1 piece downpipe 3" w/ cat eliminator $225 Gutted Precats for quicker turbo spool DnP Y pipe (metal painted black) $120 Custom flashable JESTER ECU (I am including tactrix cable and software) $780 ecu, $220 tactrix AEM UEGO Wideband $225 Autometer Boost, Oil press, Oil temp, Pyrometer, Water temp gauges $410 HKS Turbo timer with voltage reading $120 Red cloth Corbeau seats with Sparco blue race harness (4 point) INCLUDES rails for this car so the seats slide and adjust $700 seats, $200 belts, $200 brackets I am including also: stock red leather power seats, some tears $150 TEC 15g Ported and Clipped turbos ( ready to drop in ) $1200 1g swirly rims with good 245 45 17 tires ( wont fit due to brake upgrade ) $400 1g block, needs rebuild was smoking $150 1g 25 spline transmission, needs conditioning $700 1g front brakes (needs new rotors, swapped 2g brakes for these) $250 complete intake piping 2 alternators, 2 starters, 2 power steering pumps 2 complete cooling systems (water pump, housing, all pipes) 2 rebuilt throttle body, lower/upper intake manifolds $200 2 pairs of spare heads (4 total, mostly complete) $400 I have about 3-4 buckets worth of bolts, nuts, spare small parts, brackets, adapters, gaskets, orings, washers, pulleys, etc. These all came from the multiple tear downs I have done. I am including with auction. Pretty much moving on from the tuner scene, and looking at purchasing a home. The bad that I know of: some pulleys need to be changed, they make noise....not a big deal when warm everything is quiet the throw out bearing is making noise, again only when cold, after warm its quiet a better tune can definetly put down more power, dyno time is out of my budget right now the car is very low, some rubbing around tight turns. easily adjustable with ksports, takes 2 hours or so... active exhaust motor is stuck, and the computer for it isnt there ( no negative effect ) power steering cooler was leaking, i bypassed it with a hose. no ill effect. can be replaced cheap with a small dual pass core. P.S. I have listed prices of most of the parts. If you add them all up, you can see whoever gets this car is win-win. Even if you total it, drive it off a cliff, burn it to the ground, the metal parts alone cover the cost. Of course if you did that...I would find you.. P.S. I know the picture shows dent fender. It was replaced and is NOT dented anymore. P.S. THIS IS A FINAL SALE AUCTION. I WILL NOT REFUND YOUR DEPOSIT. I WILL NOT TAKE THE CAR BACK AFTER YOU DRIVE IT AWAY. ALL SALES FINAL. NO RETURNS. CAR RUNS AND DRIVES BUT SOLD AS-IS! Good luck, happy bids. |

China-FCA merger could be a win-win for everyone but politicians
Tue, Aug 15 2017NEW YORK — Fiat Chrysler boss Sergio Marchionne has said the car industry needs to come together, cut costs and stop incinerating capital. So far, his words have mostly fallen on deaf ears among competitors in Europe and North America. But it appears Marchionne has finally found a receptive audience — in China. FCA shares soared Monday after trade publication Automotive News reported the $18 billion Italian-American conglomerate controlled by the Agnelli family rebuffed a takeover from an unidentified carmaker from the Chinese mainland. As ugly as the politics of such a combination may appear at first blush, a transaction could stack up industrially, and perhaps even financially. A Sino-U.S.-European merger would create the first truly global auto group. That could push consolidation to the next level elsewhere. Moreover, China is the world's top market for the SUVs that Jeep effectively invented, so it might benefit FCA financially. A combo would certainly help upgrade the domestic manufacturer; Chinese carmakers have gotten better at making cars, but struggle to build global brands, and they need to develop export markets. Though frivolous overseas shopping excursions by Chinese enterprises are being reined in by Beijing, acquisitions that support the modernization and transformation of strategic industries still receive support, and the government considers the automotive industry to be strategic. A purchase of FCA by Guangzhou Automobile, Great Wall or Dongfeng Motors would probably get the same stamp of approval ChemChina was given for its $43 billion takeover of Syngenta. What's standing in the way? Apart from price (Automotive News said FCA's board deemed the offer insufficient) there's the not-insignificant matter of politics. Even as FCA shares soared, President Donald Trump interrupted his vacation to instruct the U.S. Trade Representative to look into whether to investigate China's trade policies on intellectual property. Seeing storied Detroit brands like Jeep, Chrysler, Ram and Dodge handed off to a Chinese company would provoke howls among Trump's economic-nationalist supporters. It might not play well in Italy, either, to see Alfa Romeo and Maserati answering to Wuhan instead of Turin — though Automotive News said they might be spun off separately. Yet, as Morgan Stanley observes, "cars don't ship across oceans easily," and political considerations increasingly demand local manufacture of valuable products.

2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat gets brace of new videos
Wed, 21 May 2014Yesterday's big announcement focusing on the new Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat had plenty of stuff going for it - information, pictures and the rabid enthusiasm that always accompanies such an eagerly anticipated reveal. What it was lacking, though, was a proliferation of videos of the new model.
Sure, yesterday's news came with one clip, but today, Dodge has come through with five videos. We've arranged them in what we think will be the most entertaining order, covering the powertrain, before moving on to exterior and interior design, then on to a full CGI dissection of the SRT Hellcat before capping things off with a piece on the non-supercharged Challenger SRT392.
Take a look below for all five videos, then head into Comments and let us know what you think.
